Houston.
The reason why we're in front of the lane is because of this great end of the water. We chose this location. This is how we're in front of people decided to not eat here to support our community.
My brought you out here today.
safely.
I won't want to get in the way of that.
>> He's just reinforcing ice. You know that >> get on this side.
Um, but I mean yesterday I should probably Yeah. No, they're here.
>> They can see that they're a nice way.
>> They're telling us to move to the cage.
All we are all the Listen, I've been here like a few times.
I'm just >> I've been here for two days right there with you.
into our case, >> which was the whole point of the protest.
>> Yeah.
So, for those watching, the uh issue that's kind of happened here is that the state police have now arrived and erected, as you can see way back over there, a uh free speech pen, if you will, uh a cagedin area where they hope to push the protesters. Uh once they began informing the protesters that they were planning to do that, they sat down, uh refusing to go into the uh designated free speech zone.
somewhere with this because I think this is a good background right here. It's a little bit challenging.
All we are saying give peace a chance.
>> Yeah.
It was open before you came.
Open for seven days.
Yes.
>> Give me a chance.
smile.
I don't leave north, brother.
I don't leave my You guys are not cutting in and out of my end. Make sure you're hitting the refresh button.
Thank you for coming out to report. A lot of my friends think I'm I think I'm good now.
>> State police wanted them to move into the designated protest zone protest.
>> Just say cage. It's easier. Just get in the cage.
Free speech zone number one. Get in there.
>> So I I assume this is the two rival zones. Yes. For tomorrow.
>> So that's I actually did talk to a trooper. They said that that is the counterprotest zone designated area >> magaz that's the magazine.
>> That's the magazone.
>> Okay.
get you guys a high quality video tonight. So, have some mostly good mostly stable New York Maybe I'm coming I'm Push back a little bit. All right, guys.
You can park a semi.
We've been doing this going in and out and support.
Well, then they don't do anything with this.
>> Okay. Well, Please move your cars. The fumes from the car.
>> New York. Please move your cars. The fumes from the cars are hurting our car.
Let's see how long it takes for this alleged car to get through.
Yeah, it's not great. Messy >> looks like they're just waiting for the police to cuddle up. I'm not going to beat the [ __ ] out of us and arrest us.
They came out here without a plan. They had a concept of a plan. They don't even know where the puppy's going to be.
I asked like I as one guy showed me his in between.
>> Why aren't you in the First Amendment zone?
>> I know, right?
>> Aren't you're doing First Amendment stuff. Get in the zone.
>> Go in the cage.
>> This This whole corral thing is easier said than done.
>> They're going to try to push everybody into box. No.
Like who's going to stop him? Like they're going to walk around.
No, I mean it's not legally like the only keeps us safe. Minus the camera. There you go. Minus the camera dork behind him. There you go.
>> That's a better photo.
>> Who keeps us safe?
>> Keep us safe.
>> WHO KEEPS US SAFE?
>> PLEASE KEEP US SAFE.
>> WHO KEEPS US SAFE?
>> All right.
>> Support your First Amendment. Stand up or sit down for your First Amendment rights. And we designate our First Amendment zones.
It's our right.
It's our right to say what we want to say. Yeah.
>> It's our right to defend our community right now.
>> People detained on a hunger strike. Day eight, y'all. Imagine not eating for eight days. They're continuing their hunger strike.
for the day.
Oh, that's our community.
>> Yeah.
Hello.
I want pizza.
How about some beginner?
I I'm actually >> formerly staff sergeant Robert of the New Jersey Army National Guard. Not only did I fight for this country, but I fought for this state.
>> Goes against you.
>> When people get arrested and they get charged action for >> our safety, please leave.
I'll tell you what happens. I'll tell you what happens.
Whatever. I'll show you how many >> as a veteran six years.
when he walked out of the jail.
Guess who was standing outside the jail?
>> Let's talk about that for a second.
When somebody's arrested or charged with something, they're supposed to have due process before due process is ever ever made. This is real. This is important.
This is one of the most important ways that ICE is collecting people because they request the police department.
So I said, "Hey, hold this person."
>> When someone is arrested, what happened?
the police department.
Remember, they retreat. This is good.
All right. So, we want you want to make sure this is super important.
Stop this from happening. You're taking two properties away from all you.
So when somebody gets arrested, your fingerprints are taken. There's blood in the face.
your pallet again, >> huh?
>> Did I ruin your pallet?
>> No. like >> shame.
>> So, they're going to put a fence up here, too.
>> The cops, I think, are going to try to corral us all into the first amendment spaces.
>> Um, the lawyer right there that is her lawyer on the microphone, >> he said something about, you know, >> the police department. We decided, >> but they don't. And so on June 4th, I want you all to join us because we're going to start it in transit and we're going to demand that the police by the way >> as soon as I got arrested around anyway.
But anyway, we need to stop this collaboration.
>> We can't stop. I want us to I want to remind everybody >> unless we organize and make them change.
>> You're going to have a walk.
>> We will not we want to see unless we organize for it.
>> We allow this to continue. It's going to continue. It's so beautiful.
>> Keep the keys on there.
>> Beautiful out there.
>> Anyway, getting back June 4th, we're going to go to church because of the police department collaborating with us.
And I want all of you all together.
have a chance to pull over. But guess what? Nobody's talked about it, but we're going to talk about it. We're going to talk about it. Police so clever and tight. I want you to say no, no, no, no, no, no. Yes, they do. And they have proof.
The California Burger Center put out research. Thank God they sued the federal government because when they sued them, they put out a lawyer request and now every single one of us can look on where we live to find out how many times the police department honored detainers or holes. We can find that out. And we got to stop that because due process does not end just because you're an immigrant. It does not. And I want to remind people we're here for immigration, but I want to remind people the black community has been telling us.
I can't not say this. The black community has been telling us about the racist practices of the police department. We have to bring it up. It's all connected. It's not connected. one humanity. The reason why ICE exists is because police exist. I'm just going to tell you it's the truth. We can live in a world where we fix our harm by not throwing people in cages. We can make sure everybody makes a living wage.
We can make sure we have mental health for people.
You guys want us to make sure we're connecting the issue. So very, very important. before it was even >> before the Muslims said, "Hey, we stop partying the black party, right?" So remember, we're just part of a long mind in history of those who keep getting targeted of the reason why targeted because we have not yet addressed blackness in the United States. We have not yet addressed the fact that we never made right what we did to the indigenous people who are still here today.
So we have to make sure and our organizing all people all people have the right to be saved. All people have the right to >> it's a lot harder to get here. I think that's the man.
>> Hey, man. Good to see you, brother.
>> How's your hand, man?
>> It's all right. Nails are growing back.
>> What's up, good?
>> At least I got to keep them.
>> So, yeah, these fell off.
>> Yeah. Took a while to heal. Tell you that was the worst pain I've ever felt most.
>> It must have just been continuous, too.
>> Yeah.
>> Weeks. once. Yeah, >> to see if it like got >> there. Yeah, I just had to it kind So the the skin kind of had to peel off skin off my nails fell off. At least it was still alive.
Yeah, I feel >> I guess we're just waiting.
>> I thought they I thought they were going to stay inside.
>> They're not going in the cage.
>> They don't like They don't like cages.
>> That's for real people. Oh.
>> Um, >> no.
>> No. I I think what's happening is they're going to put it around here uh to have this be a physical barrier and then they're going to try to push all these guys into that. And then theoretically, if there were civilians who showed up to support ICE, they're going to stick them there.
>> We need you.
to prevent you from what we're going to do if you don't do it.
>> An absolute violation of your first amendment rights. Nowhere in the constitution they say the first amendment applies to where they have zones.
I was sir into the designated amendment officials except for small area. So there has not been a thing investigation about the commission everywhere.
>> They're concentration camps.
>> This is historians call these concentrations.
>> Are you guys going to clarify your definition?
>> What is a first amendment zone?
>> It's a zone. Everyone in our civil rights This one.
>> The whole world is a first amendment zone.
>> You mean like >> amendment location?
>> This is the New Jersey State Police.
>> Wherever you are standing here locate the designated first amendment zoom. We designate >> my favorite human.
>> There's no such thing as a FIRST AMENDMENT ZONE.
>> AMERICA'S A FIRST AMENDMENT ZONE.
>> NEW JERSEY STATE.
>> HENCE THE CONSTITUTION FOR YOUR SAFETY.
>> We designate.
>> The only people WHO HAVE BEEN UNSAFE WITH PROTESTERS ARE THOSE [ __ ] UP THERE.
>> If you want to keep a zone, >> thank you. There you go.
>> That's a hard no. Constitutional location.
>> This is the New Jersey State Police.
>> For your safety, we need you to relocate into the designated >> amendment.
You relocate.
>> We're all pretty safe here.
>> The designated First Amendment zone is all OF AMERICA. YOU [ __ ] >> THE ROAD is closed, officers. The road is closed. You relocate.

>> We love that.
>> What's the first amendment there? What's the first amendment?
>> Like my amendment's fixed.
>> Is the New Jersey State Police >> for your safety?
>> Who's got amendment to relocate?
>> I feel PRETTY SAFE.
>> NOBODY FEELS UNSAFE.
>> WHO KEEPS US SAFE? THERE'S NO >> KEEP US SAFE.

>> New Jersey.
>> OH MY GOD.
>> WE'RE ASKING YOU A CLARIFYING QUESTION.
WHAT THE [ __ ] IS A FIRST AMENDMENT TO RELOCATE into the designated FIRST AMENDMENT ZONE?
>> SOMEBODY ASK WHAT I'M ASKING.
>> SHOW ME WHERE'S THAT AMENDMENT? What is that?
>> What the [ __ ] is that?
>> What is amendment?
>> The whole country is a first amendment zone.
>> Amendment zone.
>> Where is the first talk about a FIRST AMENDMENT ZONE?
>> NO. WHERE ARE THE FIRST AMENDMENT? SIR, >> WE WOULD LIKE TO ASK A clarifying question. Where in the first amendment does it say it only applies to the [ __ ] song the police pick?
>> Exactly.
>> Amen.
>> I need an answer.
>> Where the first amendment DOES SAY IT ONLY APPLIES?
>> TELL US WHERE IT IS.
>> This country is a first amendment.
Interesting >> because when I was serving in the United States military, I was told the First Amendment was for the whole country.
>> Yeah.
>> Not just the [ __ ] 10 x 12 plot the New Jersey State Police.
>> This is the New Jersey State Police.
>> Oh my god.
>> ARMY located a zone.
>> Stop escalating.
>> There's no such thing as a first amendment zone. This country is a first amendment zone.
The police are escalating the situation by determining where and when we can protest.
>> Absolutely.
>> Violating our behind us and only you ahead of us.
>> There's no danger to us except for a few right now. that >> the road is blocked off for a mile.
There's no reason to have us move anywhere.
>> On this street except you.
>> I just says as long as we're not impeding traffic, we can protest. Well, thanks to you guys, we're not.
>> You blocked it off.
>> Yes. Thank you for helping to keep us safe. We're fine. Thank you.
The whole country is a first amendment zone. There's no such thing as a first amendment zone. This is how democracy DIES.
>> BRING THE GOVERNOR. LET us let her talk to us. Let her tell us where we should be.
>> She's nowhere. She's hiding. She's hanging out with her friends. Where's she at?
>> Tell us where we can stand. Take away our First Amendment rights.
>> This is the New Jersey.
>> WE HEARD YOU. FOR YOUR SAFETY, we need you to relocate into the designated FIRST AMENDMENT ZONE.
>> WHERE'S THE ZONE WHERE THE FIRST AMENDMENT DOESN'T APPLY?
>> SO, WHERE I'M STANDING, what are YOU GOING TO DO? FIRST AMENDMENT, >> I need you to agree to this. Is there no first amendment where I'm standing?
>> Are you saying that where I'm at here, there's no first amendment?
>> Where is the line WHERE THE CONSTITUTION STOPS APPLYING? Can someone show me that?
>> Amen. I I didn't see it when it was coming in.
>> Can someone point it out?
>> Who streets?
>> OUR STREETS.
>> WHOSE STREETS?
>> OUR STREETS.
>> WHO STREETS?
>> Our streets.
>> Who streets?
>> Our streets.
>> What are you going to do if we don't move? What's the safety concern?
>> How are we not safe? We're surrounded by the state police.
WHO KEEPS US SAFE?
>> WE DO.
>> WHO KEEPS US SAFE?
>> WE DO.
>> WHO KEEPS US SAFE?
>> WE KEEP us safe.
You keep warning us, but you don't tell us what's going to happen.
>> Does the First Amendment apply where I'm standing here?
>> Don't get in yet. We got to start talking. Does the First Amendment apply right here?
>> Hey, you blue eyes. Matter of fact, the New Jersey State Police, for your safety, we need you to relocate into the designated First Amendment.
>> Or what?
>> The other amendments, too.
WHERE'S THE SECOND AMENDMENT IN THE THIRD AMENDMENT ZONE?
>> YEAH. Where's the second amendment zone?
>> I don't know if you just heard that.
Somebody asked where the second amendment zone is. Apparently, it's where bodyguard is >> Mikey Cheryl.
>> Mikey.
The governor said the police have to come out and make areas for us to protest because tomorrow a pro ice group is coming and this is for our SAFETY >> AND WE'LL be there.
>> However, the part they're leaving out is the [ __ ] attacking us are over there and they ain't going to do [ __ ] about it.
>> So [ __ ] your first amendment.
>> And there's no safety concern. DOES ANYBODY FEEL UNSAFE?
>> NOT EVEN >> except for around the police. Yeah.
>> I never felt safer >> except for around ice.
>> Yeah.
>> We're enclosure.
>> [ __ ] >> [ __ ] >> [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] >> [ __ ] >> [ __ ] [ __ ] >> And that's why we're here.
>> Nobody wants to argue with you. Nobody wants to defy the rules, but you can't tell us there's a zone to our First Amendment.
>> I don't even want to be here >> for our safety when there's no safety concerns.
I brought my kid to show him what justice looks like. It doesn't look like this.
>> I came here to tell my grandchildren what I did when America was falling and falling apart. I want to be able to look my grandchildren in the eye and tell them that I fought back.
>> Tell me what you're going to do with a 15year-old kid out here.
>> You're going to show them what justice is.
You going to show them what we're supposed to do? That we're supposed to respect you?
>> This is the way to do it. You're on the wrong side of history. Enforce New Jerseyy's law. Unmask the ICE. You are flagrantly violating it every damn day this week.
>> We're not WE'RE NOT WE'RE NOT VIOLATING the law. ISIS.
>> If only we had like some kind of agency or something that was meant to protect and serve the people. Wouldn't that be nice? Especially when you're getting assaulted by people that came in from outside.
>> That seems like a huge benefit to society.
>> If only we could come up with something like that.
>> We could do a slave.
I just heard you yell and I was like when they're dealing with the general public and then >> I don't think so either.
>> Yeah, I don't think you're either.
>> I think that's why you're out here [ __ ] stirring [ __ ] up. You can't say that I'm not fifth. You touch me.

>> That's a weird thing.
>> Why don't you go serve your country?
>> Why don't you serve your country?
>> Yeah, I get punish human rights. Top killer badge on your own cop jersey.
>> Good job. I bet it makes him feel so cool.

>> No, not my bet. The bet was the next 10 minutes texting me. I didn't want to fight.
>> Go fight in the war in Iran if you love your country so much.
>> The war in Iran.
>> Why do you [ __ ] with him? This guy's a hero. You're a [ __ ] hero.

>> So our friendly magic local neighborhood I supporter over here 120 lb [ __ ] wet.
>> Didn't even [ __ ] Hey, do you support due process? How about that? That's a simple question.
>> Yeah, I do.
>> Yeah. So, so like people get arrested when they're getting their due process.
>> So, what about Obama's?
>> But he's not the president right now.
Obama's not here.
>> Exactly.
>> Hey, fun fact. Obama hasn't been president for like a decade.
>> Why were you guys out here back in 2008?
>> Cuz I was like 12.
>> Okay, I'll ask you. Why weren't you out here?
>> Actually, where were you? Jokes on you, clown.
>> So, you did not support Obama for deporting illegal?
>> Absolutely not.
>> Absolutely not.
>> Absolutely not.
>> I I voted for him. I did not support his immigration.
>> I see how hypocritical IT IS. I DIDN'T I DIDN'T VOTE FOR TRUMP.
>> I DIDN'T vote for Trump.
>> YOU SUPPORT A [ __ ] NAZI ORGANIZATION.
>> Nazi organization.
>> Are you [ __ ] serious? They're kidnapping people.
>> What is supposedly the worst of the worst? But they're the people that built this country that you guys own this country.
>> I'm not doing I don't know if you graduated high school.
>> I don't support Trump. I don't support the war in Iran. I don't I don't I don't support the war in Iran.
>> I don't support the war on this.
But then he wants to go and fun Israel and fund and fund a war with Iran that is unnecessary and different to say.
Agree?
>> Yes.
That's why you're bringing Trump.
>> Okay. So, let's talk about ice. Let's forget about without even though hang before there Yeah, this is ridiculous.
>> What's the first step?
>> [ __ ] factory behind us.
>> Italian.
>> I grew up in the 1950s. It wasn't so great. Let's go ahead.
There are no no You guys, did you not study the Constitution? Do you not know what what it says?
side.
>> Not giving proper food, not giving their medicine. You all know what they're doing.
>> Protect and serve who keeping the peace. I don't see you talking to them. I don't see you telling them to back off.
No, let's read it. Let's read it. US code 1150 number is who makes it stay >> and I think there's a lot more of them with buses and horses nearby.
>> I would guess so. But I also feel like on their state's position is probably to just force them to get into these pens which very thing they can do when they might just like at some point cuz I heard them say like you know please go please go please go and they were like we will escort you and then they stopped maintaining the instruction they have.
Yeah, I think I feel like they're probably planning I I don't know how soon, but like at some point they are going to do some push to try to just fix that many people.
>> Um, so they just and then they'll just have a police I mean like a police line back. They'll just say you can't >> where we're standing. They're just going to say you can't be here like ever again, >> right? And and then if once they have that reinforced, there's just no blocking the vehicles in the first place. like it's >> okay. So, for my people watching, I kind of just wanted to explain. I was actually just having this conversation with another journalist there. You may have heard it, but uh I'm just going to give kind of an explainer of what's going on here. So for the past uh week or so uh as there's been this um hunger strike going on inside the facility uh there have been protesters here outside uh in solidarity with the hunger strikers inside who are asking for uh better conditions as well as uh certain people who they wished and kind of the final demand is release them all.
Um, with all that being said, um, the federal law enforcement has been doing all of the frontline policing of the protests here. The state and local police basically stayed out of it until this hour until until like an hour ago.
And so when the state police arrived, they set up free speech zones. So, you see the orange fence behind me, and then there's another one way back over there.
These are the fenced in areas that they're hoping that uh that basically the anti-ICE protesters will go behind the one behind over there. And they're hoping that theoretically if if uh pro- ice people showed up that those proise people would go into uh that one. So, that's kind of the plan that they were hoping to make. But when they showed up and said, "Get in the the designated first amendment zone, >> whatever that means."
>> What people basically said, well, you know, America is a first amendment zone, right? That was the rhetoric that people were saying that that's that there's no authorization for a for a First Amendment zone to take place. And so, basically, they said no. And so the people who you see behind me um you know there are some press and things as well but but the uh but the majority of the people behind me are demonstrators who essentially are staying where they had wanted to. Now the other variable here to to point out is that we're basically standing where the action had been taking place over the past week when vehicles go in and out. So behind me on that side, what you see are federal agents and those uh are they are now standing by as not only are the designated uh free speech zones being made, but as you also see behind me, there's a bunch of fencing material and essentially they're going to be trying to set up a fence perimeter around the building itself. What remains to be seen is now that people have refused to go into the designated first amendment zones, will the state police force them to go? So, I started this live stream sort of to see uh what would happen that way. And uh I guess we're going to we're going to keep it live for now to to find out.
Obviously, >> that's not even where my mic microphone's right She got >> the microphone is right here, guys.
>> She's playing music.
I think they're gonna try to broad this.
>> Yeah. I mean, there's no point being there now. Like, if honestly, if the switch had happened before, >> I think that there's going to be there's going to be one >> final situation as they push everybody >> and then I think the police are >> I don't know. I don't know.
>> I don't know.
>> Yeah. So, we'll So, we'll see. I mean, the feds are still here. And also, now they're standing on the roof. I don't think I've seen that from this side before.
>> Roof guys.
>> I am live, by the way.
>> There's way too much oxygen has been sucked out of the situation by influencer fighting.
>> I mean, look, I found it very helpful.
people are fighting each other because that's what I was most talking to.
>> Oh yeah, right. So you get get some sourcing. I hear you.
>> Also some good like uh you know background for the like color for the story cuz they were laughing about it.
>> Um I don't know how long have you been here?
>> I literally just got here.
>> You just got here. the the stadies were like, "Please go to the first amendment uh area for your safety, for your" And they kept doing that over and over. And then like the last instruction they said is like, "You will be escorted by the state police to the zone." And then like they only said that once and then literally the car that had been saying that just like slowly went in reverse and like >> I like it was like one threat of like escortment and then that didn't occur. I I would guess I mean I think there is a real chance that they're that they're like assembling a plan and at some point we're going to just have like a thousand of them >> talking to each other.
>> I do have a few shots of them huddling >> of state police and ICE. I do have a few shots really nice.
>> They did they did have a little jibber jabber. They did have a the you know what's funny? The guy with the backwards ball cap seems to actually be kind of like acting like a liazison from the side. I should say >> um I I haven't really seen him before, but he he seemed to be particularly involved in talking to the sties, but I also do think that it's notable that they I don't know if like the HSI guys seem to be behaving more like traditionally, professionally.
>> That's what I was seeing last after last night. Yes. I was trying to explain it to the press freedom people.
>> I'm not sure we know that. Wait, wait, wait.
Last night was um last night was the first time when they ran up. Um there was an HSI guy and we were all pretty close. And he was the first agent here, period, who put his hand up and gone, "Oh, media." Okay, I was noticed.
>> Whereas the other ones were like, "Oh, you were nice to me." You know, like, and you, you know, >> so yeah, I I >> Yeah, have some like >> they're not new hires.
>> Correct. Exactly. Yeah. I was trying to think >> because everybody would say, "Oh, the new hires came in last night." Those were definitely maybe like the ones that hung back, but the those are people who've been here a while.
We have a vehicle exit. So, it might be interesting to see how they handle that.
Did you get what you needed for >> your trip? Did you get what you needed?
>> I think you went on the trip for I'm not saying it.
>> Oh, yeah. Yeah.
>> Yeah, I did.
>> I thought she went this trip and I'm like, no.
>> No, not like you just got here. No.
I don't know.
Hey sly.
There's a >> No, no. There was a guy over there who was arguing with uh arguing with uh Charlie's real real.
>> Oh.
I could buy this that guy.
>> I don't know. I'm not sure.
>> He was here one of the other days, too.
Yeah.
>> Yeah. Um, >> I don't know. I think off the top I had that like there. So, there was a call out earlier of like other like rightwing media and then it was like a cameraman and like like so I don't I don't know what channel it was or whatever, but like >> so this is not happening. I'll tell you what happened when I walked out. So, I got my Uber. They're not letting anybody off now. There's all the barricades.
There's like jersey wall.
>> Oh, yeah. We're parked like it's like a 50.
>> Well, I'm down that Yeah. Say down that way. And um the I move my hotel. Um but my as I'm walking out the Uber, there's like this situation where the cop was directing the traffic opposition of the light and then when the he decided he want to go the way of the lights, just stop doing anything. And so then I was got right up to my truck and so he was like, "Oh yeah, be careful. It's dangerous." And I was like, "It's just like an appetite for the main event." He was like, "What are you talking about?"
And I was like, >> "The main event."
>> Yeah. I was like, you know, um, >> well, he was like real, you know, and so I like, "Oh, it's going to protest."
Like, "What's the contest going on?" I was like, "Oh, you guys don't know about it. That's why you live in there."
>> Like what weird such a weird conversation.
I feel like this is how it's LA, right?
>> But even Portland, they sort of sort of started like they didn't start doing the policing like they gradually need water.
>> The same is true of LA. The last time I went to LA, >> you know what's different about search, Right.
>> But now there's going to >> I mean they were going to do it, >> but now they're I think they're going to do an ice search. They're not going to have commandments. They're going to have all these people and they're already planning to do it.
>> Those guys that I was talking to were coming here for a search.
>> Uh well, and also I think they always wanted to do New York anyway. And now they can do it in New Jersey and it's justified not having to deal with New York >> and their and their next year. I'm sure they'll do it next year.
>> I'm sure they will. But like I think that if they've been like overcome New York and they were only in New Jersey or primarily people would have been like you're miss their their >> bro. I'm so tired.
>> I should have stayed home.
>> No, you want to be >> I'm just I'm just here for you.
this whole setup. I I think whatever they seek to push them, it will be interesting to see how forceful they are about that.
>> But then once they do that and they hold the space like this is the last time >> and then I go home >> and then I come back.
>> I'm definitely going to do tomorrow. We we actually we switch we're going to leave I'm going to think tomorrow.
>> I think that I would have an easier time with other 5 days, seven days, you know.
They're not actually going to necessarily be a >> new city. They could go into New York City.
I guess my point is I don't think Thank you.
>> All right. So, I've been live now for about an hour as uh state police have um shown up here outside the Delaney Hall ICE facility. Um, and when I say ice facility, it is an ice facility, but a private prison owned by Geog Group. Um, so it is a it is a private for-profit prison being used as an ice facility.
Um, so state police have shown up for the first time this week in this situation and uh have set up uh designated First Amendment areas. So the the area behind me is where they would like all the uh anti-ICE protesters to go. There's another one uh over in that direction which is where they would like uh hypothetically if proTrump people or pro ICE people were to show up that's where they would want uh those people to be um constrained for their for their free speech purposes. Um and so here uh where where I'm standing you can see all the protesters who are sort of uh refusing who are saying uh that that the first amendment is everywhere and that there are not first amendment zones that they could be pushed into. That was sort of the point that I heard many of them saying over and over. Um, and so the state police, the last instruction I heard was essentially, "We are going to escort you." Um, we have some feds moving toward. Let's go see what they say.
>> Go make a plan to hurt the American people out here. Where's our first amendment zone?
>> Go set up your plan, fascist.
over here.
>> Fascist.
Ice are fascists.
>> We're all Americans out here.
>> Our first amendment rights, >> [ __ ] fashion. Go work for your pedophile. Go lick your [ __ ] fashion.
>> [ __ ] you.
>> Security [ __ ] pedophile.
>> [ __ ] you. [ __ ] you.
>> What do you talk to them for?
>> So like I was talking to but >> so who's your supervisor?
>> No.
>> I couldn't actually hear them but I'm I literally the only words that I heard were at the end when Roger that. So >> great.
>> There's agreement among them. That's the that's all I can say is roger that. I think they WERE ANNOYED SPECIFICALLY SO WE wouldn't everyone.
>> Everyone wants to know what you got to do to us standing here doing no nothing but doing our rights.
>> So that right then people go, "Oh, you're messing with [ __ ] you.
>> What did the fascists tell you?
>> That's your [ __ ] you.
>> Protect ICE from himself.
We know we're in know >> [ __ ] pile predator. Child predator.
Sammy is a child predator.
>> In an alternate universe, >> people are your voices around your sister.
roof.
>> Yeah. Geo geo guys. It looks like civilians.
>> It was right there.
>> And then I got video of them on the other side like ripping with the protest.
>> I had seen them over on the other side.
They're doing like this to the protest.
>> But this is the first time that from this angle I've been able to actually like see the roof guys.
>> See them up there. Rooftop guys.
>> Always real when there's rooftop guys.
I'm fascist.
Everybody hates you.
>> You're serving here.
I got pictures and everything.
>> Yeah, >> you pay I all the ice are all the same.
I all the ice for all the ice.
All the ice block.
>> Where's your flag?
>> I took I took off my vest. I don't think I need it. But now >> I still don't think I need it.
>> Well, no. That's what I'm saying. Yeah.
>> Oh, just the flag. Oh, no, bro. That's That's just my thing.
>> Wait, wait. What's this about? A pro ice demonstration? Have you heard?
>> That's the pro I demonstration sound.
>> Is that Is that legit?
>> Yeah.
I don't know what time >> I for >> the poster looks like AI. I have no I've literally not seen a single human being set to it. But right now on riots and protest like you guys.
Oh, >> we weren't allowed to talk.
>> No. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> I mean I No, I >> I thought the weekend >> from the very very very tiny bit larger, but I mean I think what they've been talking about is basically like >> I this is I think can do all the way like that. Yeah, >> I think also the police have probably told them to not I don't think they want any arrests.
>> What do you do tonight?
>> Well, listen, I got a bucket list and I'm looking to see a DHS teas every >> I've already knocked off a couple of >> This is your only moment for that.
>> Let's go.
Free them all. Free.
Free.
FREE.
FREE.
Free them all.
Free them all. Free them all.
Free them all. Freed them all. Freedom.
Freedom.
Freedom all. Free brea free.
>> Yeah, they were like Yeah.
Feels stupid.
>> Yeah, I saw that. Yeah.
>> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Oh, you know why?
>> Whoever that is, that's who I was.
>> Yeah, I know. I know. Let me pull my phone.
>> You know, >> I have this problem.
>> Oh, yeah. That's >> This is >> This one's a little >> I mean I would have the same problem.
>> Exactly. No, that's too close.
>> You are Clearly they have to try on camera. I think that might be ice.
>> Yeah, I think they're going to push people here and then Huh?
>> That's my theory.
>> That's an interesting theory.
>> It could be some of them.
>> But there's a I want to hear >> cuz I mean sometimes they've had >> Yeah, exactly.
>> But that doesn't mean that all of us like like this is the ambulance, >> right?
>> This is an ambulance.
>> You should know you. You literally suggested war crimes and like >> they were like [ __ ] that's a great idea.
>> Yeah. literally under the laws of war can't pretend to be an ambulance and you were like >> I don't know who Mother Jones is but she sounds crazy as hell >> classic Mother Goose I mean this is the final >> that's it we're all here for the same time too >> no Nice.
>> I do think they're going to try their way out.
>> They've never tried to not do that before.
>> I thought I thought it >> time they talked. I thought we were in agreement that it's a teach. I thought >> I would never say something.
>> I the one would not >> I wish to see >> anything.
[ __ ] you and your [ __ ] go. Stop Donald.
>> You're holding him.
when you give a little together and then you maybe get on my head.
>> We have headlights turning on No KK, no fascist USA.
No KK, no fascist USA.
No Texas USA is USA.
So for the people watching um the there's a number of uh protesters here right in the front where uh the uh you know vehicles enter and exit. Now this has been the condition for the whole week is that this has basically been where the conflict takes place again as vehicles go in and out. What uh makes it kind of different right now is that now that the state police are showing up and basically promising to push everybody so that they wouldn't be able to be in the spot. In theory, as vehicles are lining up now to exit, this could be the last time that they uh that any sort of confrontation with them and one of the only times in which such a confrontation would take place with both the state police and the feds.
So, um it's not clear when that will happen, but it does seem that the vehicles are lining up. So at some point uh those ICE vehicles will exit and this will be a unique and perhaps final um kind of opportunity for the protesters to do what they've been doing this week.
Um it will also be a unique opportunity to see the final uh manner in which the uh ICE agents deal with that and the first manner in which the state police deal with that. So we'll see what happened, but that happens. But that's what we're waiting for live.
Not sure.
>> I think Right. Right.
I have heard one brain.
I think is that her See the camera on it.
That has to be a person.
>> I can't possibly like typically.
>> Yeah. No, those are the real >> I didn't want to interrupt your conversation. How you doing?
>> Look who it is. You survived the past couple days. That's different.
>> Yeah, dude. Yesterday was probably yesterday.
>> That does introduce me to be honest.
Gabriel, >> we go live here.
>> So, I had like the whole >> That was a big hit. I didn't say Did that happen?
>> They're going to be having a name like Julio Rosa.
Yeah, they're not Fernando.
>> Oh, I still guys >> He doesn't have any content to cover down anymore.
>> But they didn't really check the date.
It's not >> Where you from?
>> Oh, okay. You're like, "Wait, where's where's where's your better?"
>> Uh, he's on his way. I live in Tennessee, right? I'm originally from >> He's on his way. He's like the super I literally left my hotel room, which is only like what would you say like 10 more miles away and it took me like an hour to get it. It took like 30 minutes driving and then they brought me up to the event like over a mile >> is that I had just learned that and they're the ones who are like >> Yeah, I was there.
>> Oh, >> yeah. Oh, okay.
>> And that's why magazine writers shouldn't be here. It's the same person.
>> Wait a second. Yo, hold on. You have it.
I think I might have >> I delete a lot of stuff off my phone.
>> Well, I might have >> Look how low is is someone landing this.
Who's under that?
>> Or is that [ __ ] just spying on like like literally like right there?
>> I don't see. Oh, no.
>> Look how it's toy.
>> It looks like a toy to I agree. But like what which one of them would set it up like this and like do that?
>> Oh, there it is. There she is.
>> No reason really to do it.
>> Okay.
because we were on the street.
It was my friend and they hopped out of the car. I went out. They were able to get with the trans.
I said, "Hey, I need I need to get and then go around."
>> Yeah. Yeah.
They'll ask you.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay.
>> Your ass, huh? And then NYPD >> like the amount so isn't here yet, but he'll be here soon.
And the amount of times like >> Do you think they're like struggling with how to handle this?
Like I actually don't really believe they would listen to Steve, but like I wonder what the pressure from above is with this. It's not creative, you know.
>> Yeah. I mean I I think that the visual of tear gas is what they're clearly trying to avoid. And so they've been using pepper spray and and tasers which somehow usually look like >> scarier. I mean >> right but physically more painful. So I put on blue sky which I put it on all >> that like they seemed really surprised when I was like this is worse than like what you did to us any other city >> and and everybody replied like they're just they're just like numb to the violence and I was like no because we are too like I don't like think about that >> but like physical pain >> physical pain >> and I guess you saying that makes me realize that like I guess normal person doesn't know but they [ __ ] know they know the gas isn't as bad as that spray >> cuz that's what he said. He was like that hard too and he's like he was like debating whether to get tas or spray with that >> like they know it's >> [ __ ] you. I don't know why normal people don't >> I I feel like they're >> axiom of of escalation is probably more related to optics than natural pain compliance like a normal person would think that a taser hurts more I don't >> I have a long fear of tasers >> yeah it's yeah you were like really upset about the idea of being tased >> I don't >> I don't know like I intuitively I would think so, but also like >> pepper spray sticks on you. Like I had that that face [ __ ] I mean that didn't that I woke up >> no pepper balls is not >> that spray that they're using the one that is meant for crowd they're spraying on individual people that is like >> that like seeped into my skin. So like I woke up this morning still feeling it.
Um not terribly but like but but like irritating back.
>> Yeah. I mean, my legs are on fire all night.
>> We got people in the cars waiting.
>> They might be. I wonder if the police gave them cuz cuz last time they had a conversation and like roger that and then they all separated like and I wonder if the idea was the police have to like open up the space for them to like exit with their caravan and like so if the they're if the police means that they're not that they're not going to do that [ __ ] anymore there and the police are just standing there smiling doing nothing then they're stuck.
It could be that they're waiting for the cops. The cops are waiting for nothing.
>> Not allowed to help that. What's the rule?
>> I don't know what the I mean, >> what what like the police so far have not been willing to physically force anything.
>> Yeah.
>> They keep they they went from polite to rude in their escalation of asserting we would like you to go in the like pan.
But like I literally did not see police actually.
They'll probably be told not to >> maybe or or that they have to wait until they have like higher up order or something. They might be they might be waiting for a directive that says they can do that.
>> Don't worry, they work faster. By the time that order comes first, >> I mean, that was also part of what I was thinking. Like literally a way to get everybody into that cage is to just not do anything and like just not move. Like basically like as people leave just stand closer and closer and then by like 4:00 a.m. there's zero people surround the cage and don't let new people over here.
Oh, >> they might they might do this.
>> I mean, obviously we'll go, >> but it could be this.
>> No.
Nice.
>> That's so funny.
Only person >> like the final showdown is literally invited to the White House.
You left and came back today.
>> State police that happened like opinions on it.
>> That was the day that they stopped letting the be in charge. It was so bad.
>> Okay.
>> Sorry.
>> We're asking alliterally Press isn't going to go anywhere.
>> Yeah, just I'm just going to be wherever the >> protesters go.
For a second I thought you were asking in a genuine way and then I was like oh no you're being >> yeah the >> uh the police just told us uh so we we got to pack it up. All the press is going in the designated press area over there.
>> Oh perfect.
>> So sorry if I should be doing anything.
He wasn't sure. I don't think I can go.
>> Damn.
>> Yeah.
>> He He left too fast for me to like start passing. I was >> I thought >> I was like thinking of what I was going to say. It was just like >> I figured I had a little bit more leeway than >> I guess so. But >> I would kill.
>> But you know what? He started actually the the lead was interesting on that. He he started by saying, "Do you guys have any security?"
>> Oh, cuz they've been asking because they I they were I heard him say something similar to someone in the back row. He walked right past me >> like like clearly some kind of media and talk to someone who was like more like broadcast media and was like, "Yeah, we're going to ask everybody to go there."
>> But whatever. [ __ ] it. corporate like those people can go to the area if they feel like >> they're the ones who will go >> like some of those guys will be like >> as soon as one of these guys pulls out a real gun they're all going >> Excuse me sir where's the media cage >> can you escort me >> put me in some boundaries >> I I need structure >> it's like the salt you know around like the graves People were getting up in my base.
>> But people were getting up in my face.
>> They were getting up in my face. Getting physical. Sir, we'll take our chance.
>> Getting up in my face, getting physical.
>> I mean, it happens.
>> What happens when somebody gets in your face?
>> The thing is, if I were to get in your face, That guy's never gotten so much attention for building fences.
>> Yeah.
That that he was actually like like ICE was like earlier was like walking him through where to put the fences and he was like just so you know you're and a bunch of people were filming this like happened and the ice agent said like like just so you know like there's a lot of people filming. He was like, "Oh, I know."
>> Totally like excited to look like like I'm incred by the way.
>> Oh, well, it was fine. I feel horrible, but you know, I didn't say it.
>> I'm proud of you because uh that gives me a cool anecdote.
>> Also, I showed up and they have not renewed my contract, but this is with me first. Job security. It's on the badge.
They got to honor that.
>> And it's way bigger than the one which is this size.
>> Love that.
>> And it was in the meal when I got there.
I'm like, where the [ __ ] is this? Are you paying for my hotel or not?
>> I was in my truck, which they probably wouldn't pay for.
>> No, probably not that.
>> You know, ADHD is a disability.
against.
>> So, uh, at this point, it has now been an hour and a half, uh, more than an hour and a half since the state police, uh, arrived here, uh, began erecting some fences, made some designated First Amendment zones. Actually, uh, me and a couple of other independent journalists were just informed by a state police officer that, uh, we as the media have our own First Amendment zone. Uh, another journalist kind of said what I was about to say anyway, which was like, "No, thank you. That's okay." Um, so I I will probably not be uh going there.
We'll I'll check in maybe or something later. But um in all seriousness, the kind of uh stalemate that's happening right now is that uh the uh demonstrators who did not want to go into the the demonstration first amendment zone uh basically are all still standing here in front of the facility. The police did say that uh you know we will escort you you know uh but push them um sort of away from the area and into those uh free speech zones but uh so far hasn't actually executed any force and is essentially just standing around waiting. It's not clear if that's going to sort of happen at some point.
Um meanwhile, uh ICE is also just kind of sitting around, but they have a number of vehicles that are um set up kind of at the exit. Um possibly to to leave. Um you know, that would happen through the path of the protesters who presumably, you know, the police are taking over the role of doing that kind of security that ICE has been doing. So, uh not really clear how that's going to go, but at this point, it's been a pretty like lengthy stalemate. So, I'm going to cut the live stream here. Um, and I will definitely film whatever happens kind of when the stalemate breaks. I'll either go live again or I'll be posting clips.
So, like, share, subscribe, uh, Facebook, YouTube X. If you're watching on YouTube, I would especially say go to Facebook and X for uh, kind of momentto moment clip type updates uh, because I don't really post those on YouTube, but uh, YouTube will end and and all three will end up having kind of the raw highlight reel at the end of the day. So like, share, subscribe, all that good
