From the craftsmanship [music] to the stone cutting, nearly every aspect of the project is being carried out by local artisans >> [music] >> and designers using materials naturally available in the region.

[00:00:54]Inside the Imamat Lounge, the design draws inspiration from traditional Gilgiti homes.

[00:01:01]The handcrafted wooden roof [music] work reflects the timeless architectural style found throughout the valleys [music] of Hunza and Gilgit.

[00:01:09]At the center of the roof is the iconic opening, a feature deeply rooted in local tradition and [music] spiritual symbolism. This same architectural concept was also incorporated into the Ismaili [music] Center in Houston, connecting centuries of heritage with modernist Ismaili [music] architecture around the world.
