This Priest Thinks Equality and Feminism Is a Heresy

[00:00:00]Hey there folks. Hope you're doing well today. I know it's been a while since you seen me. And you got to understand, you can only take so much of these people before you need a break. Just like the person we're looking at today.

[00:00:12]It's a priest who's out here talking about toxic masculinity. But it's not what you think. He's just as confused as the people he's trying to talk to. Just for all the tape.

[00:00:23]>> In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. In a time and a culture where so many young men feel assaulted, assaulted with hateful terms like toxic masculinity, where where even the the identification of being straight white male is somehow used as an insult.

[00:00:46]It's not surprising at all that many young men are left wondering not just about their role, but about how they are to understand themselves, who and what they are.

[00:00:57]>> Okay? And I know what you're thinking.

[00:00:58]You're like, "Wait a second. This guy's laring as a priest, right? He's not really a priest." And I don't know, probably. But let's take a quick second to look at what he's talking about. He's making the claim that young men feel assaulted by the word toxic masculinity.

[00:01:15]And it's almost as if he thinks toxic masculinity is an identity, not a behavior. And let's get one thing straight. Everyone has the opportunity to be toxic. Men, women, but it's the men who create communities around it, who monetize it. But again, it all comes down to this is a behavior and people get to choose how they behave. He goes even further though talking about how the term single white male is an insult and who is using it as an insult. The only people who feel insulted by that term is people affected by white fragility. And then he finally lands on this idea that men don't understand their role or how to define themselves.

[00:02:03]It's pretty simple. Don't go out and be an Treat people the way you want to be treated. Going on your life path and treating people with respect will get you a lot further than going around treating people with a toxic nature. But let's continue and see what words of wisdom this priest has for the young men.

[00:02:23]>> So let's think about how young men can understand themselves in the face of such demonic terminology. And it is demonic.

[00:02:33]any terminology that demonizes any group of people, whether it be white, black, men, female, whatever it is, this language of division and demon demonizing groups comes from the devil.

[00:02:51]>> Okay. So again, here we see him really kind of associating the term toxic masculinity with an identity. And he's labeling straight white males with this term. And this is a big part of this white fragility movement. No one is out here making videos saying, "Haha, you're a straight white male." I mean, go ahead and look. There's none on this channel.

[00:03:15]Instead, we're calling people out over toxic behavior. But the white fragility movement, they don't care. They want to internalize everything like it's an attack against them. And forget about asking them to put things into context or try to understand history. In doing so, again, you're attacking them. All this is is just a Trojan horse to smuggle in their ideas of wanting to control women, not giving women equality. And it's that lack of control that leads them to this fragility. It's really just an endless cycle. But who knows, maybe he'll surprise us in the next clip.

[00:03:54]>> Now, first we should think about the way false ideas develop generally before we look at the specifics of how it applies to men. Because when we look at the history of heresies, not many people set out to be a heresy, a heretic. And when we look through history, many of the heresies that have developed have really been a reaction to other false ideas.

[00:04:26]>> Okay. So here, let's just pause for a second and define some terms so everyone's on the same page. When he's referring to a heretic, what that is is someone who holds, teaches, or practices beliefs that fundamentally conflict with established religious doctrine, orthodox standards, or generally accepted beliefs. And so what he's trying to do here is make the argument or make room for an opportunity to be a sexist, controlling man with toxic masculinity like behavior. He's basically saying, "Hey, none of these people intended on displaying the traits of toxic masculinity, but it was this feminism that pushed them in that direction." And so all of this builds into this idea that they're victims. And all of that is in line with the white fragility movement.

[00:05:19]And we are all capable of making this kind of error.

[00:05:24]And in our western world, many men are reacting against the errors of feminism and then exaggerating what they see as masculine in order to refute the false ideas about manhood that are being taught in this false teaching of of feminism.

[00:05:48]We should be clear about this. We are equally determined by the heresy of fa of feminism if we accept its teaching or if our reaction to feminism causes us to enter a further false belief or a false understanding.

[00:06:11]>> Okay. So there he says it out loud. He talks about the word feminism. He actually refers to feminism as the heresy. And again, this is where it's important to define terms, right?

[00:06:22]Feminism is equality between men and women that both people that both parties are granted the same rights, the same opportunities, and the same freedoms.

[00:06:36]This idea of equality is what he's referring to as a heresy, something that goes against practiced beliefs. And it really demonstrates how confused this laring priest is. Nonetheless, let's see how he lands this plane.

[00:06:54]>> We mustn't allow falsehood to determine our reaction.

[00:07:01]And we need to apply this thinking to the way our culture, the moment, the momentary culture that we happen to be living in, the way this culture treats and views young men particularly.

[00:07:15]Our understanding of what it means to be a man must be free of all all worldly fashions because these fashions are just the the temporary ideas of the world. They come and go when as we grow older we see many of them come and some are recycled and so on.

[00:07:35]>> Okay. And so we see him land on this idea that our understanding of a man should be free of all worldly fashions.

[00:07:44]And what the hell is he talking about?

[00:07:46]Right? He's not talking about clothing or style. But what instead he's talking about is values and principles of a broader society. And so this silly idea about equality, no, we shouldn't put that on them. They need to have the freedom to go out and control women the way they want to. And so when we take a step back and we look at, you know, what are the arguments that this guy's making, what kind of advice is he giving to either society, to how to treat young men, or to young men themselves? He's saying that the term straight white male is an attack. He's saying that toxic masculinity is an identity and he's saying that feminism, i.e. equality, is a heresy. And the worst part is he's dressed up in an outfit that a lot of people look at as an authority. And this is all part of the play. Who knew this white fragility movement involved so many costumes?
