Political scandals involving prominent figures can significantly impact electoral outcomes, with the pace of elections often dictated by emerging revelations about candidates' past actions. In Brazilian politics, the Flávio Bolsonaro-Daniel Vorcaro money laundering scandal demonstrates how corruption allegations can gradually erode political support over time, with polls showing declining approval ratings. The effectiveness of such scandals depends on media coverage, public awareness, and institutional responses, as the Brazilian press has been criticized for lacking autonomy and failing to pursue investigative journalism. This case illustrates how political scandals, when combined with other factors like institutional investigations and public perception, can influence democratic processes and electoral dynamics.

Live do Conde | Ainda vai aparecer muito mais coisa: Lula profetiza futuro sombrio de Flávio追加:
[music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow. I'm imitating, you all know that.
Good evening, POV, that 's true. This ticket was for sex, Friday, everyone's happy, drinking their water, right? a little water, sucking on a candy, eating a little cheese. One day I 'll do a live stream here eating cheese and drinking wine for you all. Taking a class, right? I don't understand anything, but we do it with love. Everything we do with love works, right? It might suck, but if you do it with love, it will work.
Look, let me add a caption here for you so everything looks nice in our frame.
Well, it's a weekend that promises a nice, cool weather for all of us here in Brazil, in the Southeast, right? I don't know what the weather is like there in Rio Grande do Sul, is it raining? The temperature dropped.
The temperature dropped, but it went up for Flávio, right? The temperature has risen for Flávio Bolsonaro. Hey, how's it going? Please tell me where you're watching the Count's live stream from. I miss you all, I'm longing to hear you tell me where you are. Is anyone from Garanhuns watching Conte's live stream here? There are always people from Garanhuns. I want to know which inland cities in this country are connected, the cities with indigenous names, with Afro-Brazilian names, you know? Please, names of saints, beautiful names.
Hey, tell me where you're watching from. People are starting to say that we're going to shake things up here, Brazilian people, but there's not much new to say about it today. Today is feeling a bit down. Today there 's more analysis involved. Today there is more of a reorganization of facts, of discourses. I have undertaken this humble mission for all of you.
As Musum would say. Oh my God in heaven.
Look, Itaia is present here. Isabel Cristina, a kiss for you. Look how beautiful, Isabel is here. Goiana, Goiás, Carlos Siqu. Music, please. Eh, da babu. Ana Simpson is saying: "Hello, darling. You know very well where I am. I'm not going to say. Oh, Ana, I know where you are. A kiss for you.
How beautiful. Look, Ferraz de Vasconcelos is present here. Star Play.
Starplay. Oh, Oxo, what's the name of this one? Oxo, destined for the brave. Pau dos Ferros, Rio Grande do Norte. Wow, what a great name. Pau dos Ferros. Where are you from, Pau dos Ferros?
Ah, I didn't like it. So, Paulo, no, I'm not going to say what I was going to answer.
Barueri is present here. Rosim, Rosimeir Franco, Carapicuíba, Júlio César Chapombo. That's it, Júlio César da Rocha Pombo.
Here we do the montages.
Pelotas, Verinha Garcia, how beautiful. Pelotas is a beautiful city. Palmas, Tocantins, present.
Sapucaia do Sul. Look at the beautiful diversity of our community here.
Sapucaia do Sul. Jairo Almança and Dora Alice. Dora Alice, I told Maria it's nonsense, an illusion.
Alone with my guitar. Doralice. I told him I forgot the lyrics. Voracious.
Dear Doralice. Eh, Dorival Caymmi, Doralice, right? Jason Melo, I'm in Pedras de Fogo in Paraíba, watching the show.
Excuse me, I'm going to have to read these comments that make me, uh, uh, for me it's about having an aesthetic, right? It's part of the aesthetic of our broadcast here. The cities, unforgettable moments. Aparecida de Montoia, Maringá, land of Sérgio Moro.
That [ __ ].
Vinícius, the fighter, wanted to be in Fortaleza. There's even the city where you'd like to be, right? Where you are, where you'd like to be. Guarujá, present.
Eh, here Antônio Romero is saying I'm almost recovered from my cold. Congratulations, I'm really better. I'm treating it here with macrobiotics, well, a natural treatment of cachaça with lemon. Caruaru, Pernambuco. How wonderful.
Thank you very much. There's a coxinha (Brazilian chicken croquette) on the screen.
Look, it's Luciana Bauer, the love of my life, here. Good evening, Condíssimo. Vorcar's vigil is 10 times a Lava-Jato (Operation Car Wash). I miss Santo Antônio da Patrulha, Rio Grande do Sul, my mother's hometown.
Ah, you see? So this also awakens this desire for us to be in the places we love. Vorcar's vigil is 10 times a Lava-Jato. No, I didn't quite understand what you meant here, but I 'll talk about it, right? Vorcar's plea bargain, what's drawing everyone's attention in this eternal attempt at a plea bargain. Today, Vorcar fired Juca, right? People say that the lawyer Oliveira Lima left because he wanted to leave, he wasn't fired, right? These people are always trying to get rid of problems and burdens, right?
But what's striking, and I'd like you to tell me here too, is that... Vorcaro had offered 40 billion reais; he was going to return 40 billion reais to the justice system in the first attempt at a plea bargain. That wasn't accepted.
Now he's saying he's going to increase it to 60 billion reais. The question people are asking is: "But where is this money?"
There is? What does that mean? Where does this money go? Does he have all of that?
Theoretically, for a guy to offer 60 billion to the justice system, it means he must have around 120, 200, or even more. Everything is illegal.
Well, there's a more subtle explanation for that. I'm going to give a spoiler here, I'll go back to the chat. The most subtle explanation is this: Vorcaro is counting on the future nullification of this process. So, he'll promise nothing but money, then he'll hire the four most expensive law firms in the country to get the case annulled. And then he's never going to pay for this thing, right? He'll make promises he won't make, adding another fraud to the burden of the Brazilian justice system, which deserves it because it's kind of dumb, right? Yes, and from all over Brazil. Finally, I'll give you that behind-the-scenes information right now. Come on, Lucas. Where are you calling from?
Tell me where you're calling from. Curitiba. Curitiba present.
I know Santa Bárbara do Oeste.
Eh, eh, Humberto Rocha is saying: "Good evening from Jaru." Look at that city name! Jaru. Piracicaba.
Célia Natálio, São Luís do Maranhão. How cool, what an honor to be here speaking to all of Brazil. Claudia is talking about São Paulo being 14th.
Marisa Formui, Itajaí, Santa Catarina, Rio das Pedras.
A kiss for Marisa. Marisa, you always give me these little jokes, don't you, Marisa? I see it on my account, your name is always there, right? Every month. That's something. I'm truly speechless.
I, in fact, need to find the words to thank you all for your collaboration on my work. Honestly, without that connection, it would be much harder to handle this situation, you know? A big kiss for you. It's been a while, hasn't it, Marisa? I think you've been here for about four years now, right, Marisa? I think it's been more than that, right, from the beginning. Look, Carlos de Melo is watching us from Portugal, Lijó.
That's great, Carlos Bernardo Araújo, judge from outside the city, who's in 16th place.
José Eduardo Domingues is saying here: "Zambell has been released and will not be extradited." Is this for real, José Eduardo Dominguez? This is serious, and I'm going to bring you the behind-the- scenes details of today's Italian court decision, and I don't have good news about it.
Everything was going well until Chamdão forced the extradition.
I gave the grade here yesterday.
Xandão forced the extradition, the Italians got pissed, and they released Zambell, right?
Now, now, now sleep on that, okay?
Xandão jumped the gun. You see what it is, what a hellish astrological situation it is, right? He screwed up. Xandão screwed up. It was amateurish, wasn't it? You can't force it.
Everything was nice and tidy, you know? Persuasion, at all levels. Even Zambell's lawyers didn't expect this. Not even Zambelli.
Zambelli got out of prison there and has already started doing live streams. And I don't know what else. He had a huge smile on his face. They weren't expecting that. Neither the lawyers, nor Zambell, nor anyone else.
That wasn't in the script. It's Alexandre de Moraes' fault.
Yes, yes, I've got the behind-the-scenes footage here. He went, he forced the extradition, he forced, he tried to expedite the protocols. The Italian justice system got furious and released Zamb. That's it, right? Well, that 's amateurism for you. José Paulo, Guaibim, Bahia. The owl flying with the owlets on its back. How cute.
My God in heaven. Mauro is speaking here.
Mauro de Baroeri, São Paulo. Goodnight.
Thank you very much. Jr. was already shedding the "I graduated from Unicamp" label.
Look at that, right? I say this, right? Every day, right? I'm the one who flashes my credentials the most, right? For God's sake. Oh, my friend, congratulations. Did you win a Golden Raspberry Award this Friday? It's yours, all yours. I'm not even going to block you because you don't deserve it. Hey, Giovani Mota Ribeiro, Santarém, Pará.
Santarém is beautiful too. Enough already, right?
That's enough. Let's go. Let's go.
[music] Look, folks, I graduated from Unicamp.
Excuse me, okay? Excuse me.
Undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees at Unicamp. It 's OK. Respect me, okay?
Respect me.
If you disagree with me here, I will say that it is an attack on democracy. I learned a lot from the Supreme Court, didn't I? If you disagree with me, someone who graduated from Unicamp, I will denounce it as an attack on democracy and Brazilian sovereignty. [snoring] That 's it. He finished. There's more, there's more to this story. Right?
Let it be said clearly.
Some people just seem to show up here out of nowhere. He said, "Wow, he's gone completely nuts. The magician has gone completely nuts."
Let me take this opportunity to thank Elisa Maria Piri Piri, from Piauí. Are you from Piri Piri?
Is your city the city of Gretchen?
[laughs] No, I know that's not true. Piri Piri, how beautiful! Thanks. A kiss for you. Hey, Rosimer Franco, Carlos Zambell will have to stay in Italy. Yes, she can't come to Brazil. If she comes to Brazil, she'll be arrested. And Ana Trigueiros, thank you very much for your collaboration, GT.
Let's go. So, today the Datafolha poll came out, and its contribution... thus, Datafolha and Alexandre de Moraes are the personalities of the week, the most disgraced personalities of the week, right?
that Datafolha did a double disservice to the country. First, they published an old poll in the middle of a scandal. You don't publish an opinion poll, do you, when each one costs R$ 300,000? Then she was so criticized that she went back into the field to publish a poll to, you know, capture the voters who had become aware of Flávio Bolsonaro's money laundering scheme with Daniel Vorcar.
Then he published research today. The research also came out feeling old-fashioned, didn't it?
Datafolha has different methodologies. Atlas Bloomberg, which had already predicted the collapse of Flávio's candidacy, losing six or seven points, right? Well, Datafolha confirmed more or less the same drop, well, with a little less of a drop for Flávio, because they use different methodologies.
Datafolha, [snoring] it and the target audience of Datafolha, as they do in-person surveys, they have a tradition of going out into the streets and everything else, there's a whole division, distribution there by segments of Brazilian society, in the cities, it's kind of like, uh, it seems like they're always chasing after, right, the photograph of the Atlas Bloomberg already mixes telephone calls. With the internet, everything gets mixed up, there's one thing, let's say, one is the urgency, right? The urgency of the situation is better reflected, in my opinion, in the Atlas Bloomberg survey, but when there are very galvanizing events, such as the money laundering accusation against Flávio Bolsonaro, the Folha survey doesn't seem to me to be the best thing. I confess that I will wait for the quest. The quest should arrive here next week. Well, the message I want to convey is this.
Apparently, it's even the seminar that takes so long for the population to arrive, right?
Datafolha showed it today, right? 34% of the population is aware of the corruption scandal involving Flávio Bolsonaro and the film Dark Horse. 34 is very little, isn't it?
So this is the event that will last, right? Today an analyst said : "As long as Flávio, an analyst and professor at USP, does n't respond, doesn't present the spreadsheet, no, as long as this producer Karina da Gama, as long as Mário Frias, as long as they don't explain, don't convince public opinion, the press, the population of how this money was spent, today an actor from the film appeared and is saying the following, is saying: "The film didn't have this money, right?" The film was hastily made in São Paulo. There was no money for food on set, no money for, you know, extras, makeup, it was all a mess, you know, a decadent thing.
The production company was completely inexperienced, well, it was a money laundering spree right there, wasn't it? Well, the money was n't going into production.
So, these actors are going to start appearing, right? What do I mean by that? This scandal, it will last, it has a longer duration.
That's pure tensive semiotics, right? It's not going to be one of those things where a buff appeared and then disappeared, right? In the minds of Bolsonaro supporters and a part of our conventional press, which continues to be very weak, very complicit, precarious, mediocre, and dilapidated, journalists don't update their skills, they don't seek to learn more, to research, to give voice to opposing viewpoints; they are all terrified of their bosses, right? You get journalists from Globo News, Globo, CNN, Record, Bandeirantes, they're all employee of the month, they're all that little group, like ants, always following the same little path, right? They have no autonomy, no freedom, they can't have a Twitter profile, they can't post, they can, to a certain extent, say things that are even slightly outside the editorial guidelines of their boss, and bosses are always imbecile troglodytes, from Globo, right? They are all very poorly prepared people. He's the worst professional, isn't he? The boss is always the worst, the most incompetent, the most mediocre. Then you have talented, young journalists, full of energy, who want to do a great job. They can't do it. They get there, so much so that there's something I've noticed in the Brazilian press, which is this: the younger reporters, those who have just arrived at the newsroom, are the best, they write better, they have more intellectual honesty to describe, to report an episode, an event, precisely because they haven't been spoiled yet by the newsrooms, right? Then a year goes by, two, three, and you'll see that the same journalist you liked has become a mediocre employee of the month, right? Just like his boss's expression, which is [laughs] that's the end of the line, that's the last straw, that's the end of his career. But anyway, disclaimer made here. What I want to highlight is this: with this venal, unqualified press, it's really going to be difficult for this Flávio Bolsonaro scandal to take hold in the public imagination, right? It's gradually cooling down. They keep saying that, they're already saying that the scandal has dissipated, that it's already over. So, part of that is true.
It's dissipating, it's fading into thin air, because the elites, the press, there's an almost natural, ultra- conservative force in the Brazilian public debate that's trying to safeguard, I mean, to help Lula, I'm out, right? It will help elect Lula. So let's stop talking about the Vorcaro scandal with Bolsonaro.
But now they've fallen into a trap because the press can't stop talking about Vorcaro. They would even like to stop talking, to stop associating Vorcaro with Flávio, but they can't stop [snoring] because it's over, right? It's become the recurring theme every day, headlines, plea bargain, Vorcaro, Vorcaro's father, Vorcaro's lawyer, Vorcaro's 60 billion, every day in the Brazilian public scene. Well, then we can't just take Flávio out of this, can we?
They are trying, they are trying. Now, having said that, the Datafolha poll was a relief for Bolsonaro supporters, because it showed the same drop in support as Atlas Bloomberg and another poll that came out, showing a drop in Flávio Bolsonaro's approval rating.
This decline will take time to happen; it will occur gradually over time.
When Celso Russomano's popularity plummeted in São Paulo, his ratings dropped five points in a week.
Then he waited for another one, and two weeks later he would fall five more times. Then two weeks later, another five would fall. Yes, it is, isn't it? It doesn't all fall apart at once, right? It takes time to get there. So I wanted to say this because there are people on the right celebrating how great the Datafolha poll was for them, you know? They lost seven points and that's great, right?
We're still in the second round, so to speak. This is the calculation, the concrete data, and it relates directly to President Lula's statement. President Lula's speech was prophetic, but it was stating the obvious, wasn't it? There's much more to come, much more. So, judging by this initial moment, this scandal with Vorcaro, there's much more that Flávio hasn't revealed and many more skeletons in Flávio Bolsonaro's closet. I said here at the beginning of the week that what will dictate the pace of the elections, of the polls, will be the scandals that will emerge regarding Flávio Bolsonaro's life. So you have the refit, you have the imminent arrest of Cláudio Castro and Flávio Bolsonaro, and Cláudio Castro and the Bolsonaro family are practically the same entity. Cláudio Castro is like number 6, right? Oh no, 06 is Vorcaro, right? So it's 07, right? It's another son of Bolsonaro, Cláudio Castro. So, when the complaint is filed, when Cláudio Castro is arrested, it won't be long.
Well, we're going to drag Flávio's campaign along again, especially since a large part of the money laundering and organized crime in the Rio de Janeiro government is linked to the Refit refinery, whose owner, Ricardo Magro, is a fugitive in the United States.
Brazil might possibly request his extradition; he's already been placed on Interpol's red list. Ricardo Magro is in the United States. Let's see what happens, if he'll be extradited to Brazil. I'll talk about Zambell in a moment. So, that's the picture. Well, Flávio, I'm not worried if he drops another five points next week. I know there will be more scandal. There's a lot going on, as Lula says, a lot of things coming, a lot of old things. For example, the financing of Flávio's mansion in Brasília, for which he obtained a loan of 6 million from BRB, a bank that is on the verge of having its liquidation decreed by the Central Bank. The Central Bank is evaluating BRD daily.
It's a dramatic situation.
Well, Hugo Mota tried to intervene with President Lula, to get President Lula to help BRB get financing, to refinance itself. Lula does n't want to, and didn't want to. This is the fifth time they've asked Lula to get involved in this controversial issue. It's a problem for the government of the Federal District. There has just been a rift between Celina Leão and Ibanês Rocha, who were allies. She was Ibanez's deputy. Ibanês is also next in line for the Federal Police operations, regarding the accusations that are coming.
So, who's in line to have a search and seizure warrant executed and be indicted by the Public Prosecutor's Office/Federal Police in the hidden carbon scandal, and in the scandals that also permeate Banco Master, right? Cláudio Castro is at the top of the list. Uh, Ibanez Rocha, Al Columbre, uh, who else? Let me see if I'm forgetting anyone. Antonio Rueda. So, a lot of things are coming.
Lula knows, and Lula doesn't need to have privileged information. He couldn't do that, but he knows. The guy has 40 or 50 years of experience in public life, right? He knows what's going on and he knows that the Federal Police will not back down regarding the investigations.
Alcolumbre, Alcolumbri, soon we'll wake up to the headline, right? Federal Police conduct search and seizure at the official residence of the Senate president. Just wait. Wait a little while, maybe even before the World Cup. Strong emotions.
So, I wanted to say the following: Flávio Bolsonaro's candidacy, it serves, uh, it's now within its fundamental and main scope, which is not winning the elections, but keeping the Bolsonarism platform alive. So, for Bolsonaro, it's much better than Tarcísio winning the elections—and he wouldn't win anyway—but it's far more efficient for Bolsonarism and the militia family to have control over this group.
That's why Lula's victory itself is interesting for them, because they will continue wallowing in this opposition, in this denialism, living off, drinking in, you know, anti-PT sentiment. That's it, right? On the other hand, we also know that it's in Lula's best interest to engage in this kind of confrontation with Bolsonaro's supporters, because Bolsonaro is dangerous, right? We have to be careful because this directly affects democracy and institutions, because they are coup plotters, they can, you know, disrupt the process. I've already seen January 8th, and hey guys, do you know what's happening in the United States? When Trump became president, the same thing happened, which was the Capitol, the invasion of the Capitol. It was worse there because six people died there; if I didn't die, then six people were murdered during the storming of the Capitol.
Here in Brazil, as far as we know, nobody has died. Hey, but what happened in the United States?
Well, the Biden administration punished the Capitol invaders. They were all prisoners. There were more than 1000, I think it was 100, 1200 people, many of them convicts. There is also a diversity, a considerable range of sentences: 15, 16, 20 years, that sort of thing. They were fined, and they were, they were in jail. Trump ordered everyone to be released. He gave it, he tampered with it, right? No, it's not a pardon, it's a forgiveness he granted there. He dropped all the charges against all the criminals who broke into the Capitol.
And now, do you know what he's doing? He's creating a line of credit for the Capitol invaders, 2 billion dollars so that they can, I don't know exactly for them, anyway, so they can have a loan, so they can do something. You can see the level, right?
Look at the danger we also face with Flávio Bolsonaro. But anyway, just to reassure you regarding this Datafolha poll, right? Well, Lula is still in the lead, okay? It's difficult. The left continues to make mistakes, uh, Lula's campaign is still somewhat lost in translation, but even so, he'll win despite all the errors, right? You just can't commit suicide, right? But even so, things are relative, because there's no real opponent.
If he had a strong opponent, if Lula had an opponent, you know, if he did, but he doesn't, he doesn't.
Bolsonarism is so prevalent that the patriarch is in jail, and his sons are neck-deep in corruption.
Well, the candidates from Lula's generation can't do it anymore, can they? It's just Caiado who's there, he's got his 5%, 4%. Ciro Gomes will be a candidate for governor of Ceará. Aécio Neves wants to... he's rehearsing a presidential candidacy.
I'm here waiting to see if he'll be able to do it. There's a new element, which is Renan Santos, who is the Pablo Marçal of these elections. Zema started the Sanhadinho scandal by polarizing with the Supreme Court and now he's finally backed down, after this whole Flávio Bolsonaro scandal. So we actually have a comfortable scenario for Lula and the PT, right? Well, in that context, right? Because things are very difficult for the PT (Workers' Party) in Brazil, in the states, in the municipalities. There was a march of mayors in Brasília just now, right? Lula was booed, he was booed. He was absent, right? In Alkim's presence, right? As for the mayors, I think the PT (Workers' Party) holds how many mayoralties? I think PT has 250 municipalities.
Typical of a small-time party, right? The PT (Workers' Party) has good representation in the Chamber of Deputies, but in mayoral and state elections it currently holds four positions, but is only leading in two so far in these elections. So, the performance of the left in Brazil and in the respective legislatures is bad, [cough] perhaps the worst in history.
Now we have the phenomenon of nature, which is Luís Inácio. That's what makes all the difference. One thing ends up compensating for the other. Well, now we need to get out of this lethargy, this inertia, this ineptitude, right? The left needs to rediscover its inner wonder, to regain its self-esteem, on a massive scale.
This is worrying. I repeat, if there were a strong opposition candidate, it would be very difficult to find someone without corruption accusations against them, someone with a national program, someone with charisma, right? It was going to be difficult, but our happiness doesn't exist.
Let's go. Check out Conde's live stream this Friday, greeting the entire community watching us from Brazil and all over the world.
Someone's watching us from Portugal, they already said so, right? Is there anyone from Japan? No, it's lunchtime in Japan right now, isn't it? Ah, let me thank you again for your attention and for the chat. Dinha, and where did this envious person get his education? The little boy, right, Dinha?
Leave him alone, Dinha, leave him there. That 's good for us to preserve our humility here, right? Hey, Antônio Vasques, students in São Paulo are staging huge protests and the media is ignoring it. You're talking about college students, right? It's a delicate situation, isn't it? They've taken over the USP rector's office once again.
I'm not following that that closely. If anyone has any information here, please feel free to send it. Arnaldo is saying: "Revolt is brewing, when the clocks align with the left, things will change." Unfortunately, that's a task for another left-wing party, which isn't visible right now.
Here it is. Thank you for the messages, for the affection. Let me then share some information with you. Let's go.
[music] Hey, listen up, another super chat is coming up.
Zambeta is free there, not here. Let me speak, let's start by talking about Zambell to get this topic over with, shall we? Carla Zambelli is released from prison in Italy after a court denies extradition to Brazil. The Supreme Court of Cassation, the highest court in the Italian justice system, has denied authorization for the extradition of former congresswoman Carla Zambelli to Brazil.
Judges of the highest court overturned the decision of the Court of Appeal in a ruling communicated shortly after 9 p.m.
4 PM Brasília time for lawyers. At the hearing held this morning in Rome, six judges analyzed, in about an hour, an appeal filed by the defense against the decision of the Court of Appeals. The previous ruling had been in favor of sending Zambell to Brazil to serve his prison sentence.
Everything was going well, folks, everything was on track.
Zambelli, she was practically already in Papuda prison, in the hive, in Papuda, everything was all right, all right. The Italian justice system had already understood everything, everything that had happened.
Well, what happened was that Alexandre de Moraes, at the beginning of this week, asked to expedite this process, he requested acceleration, he mobilized the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I think he also mobilized the Public Prosecutor's Office and the lawyer who represents Brazil in Italy. Well, the result was a disaster, wasn't it?
This is on Xandão's tab. How stupid, right? My God. People need him, Xandão saved Zambell, there was no need to force the extradition to be expedited.
The Italian justice system felt disrespected and decided to cancel the extradition outright, even releasing the Brazilian Carla Zambelli, who is now at home, probably drinking, celebrating and all that, and will remain free. There's nothing left to do now, right? Now, that would only happen if Carla Zambelli one day decides to be foolish enough to come to Brazil or go to a country that has an extradition treaty with Brazil, right? Then there will be another year, two of agony, of justice, of appeals and everything else. But anyway, it was a blunder by Alexandre de Moraes. Well, it's just not possible, we don't live, we make mistakes, you know, in our lives. This is the aftermath. There's not much more to say about it. So what happens then? Oh, the right wing that's hurt by this whole Flávio thing is celebrating, thinking it's a victory, that things have turned around, right? That now Flávio will start to grow because Zambelli won't be strategized anymore. So, that's why I 'm saying, the scenario for us in the democratic field, and also due to the very unique fact that we still have President Lula alive and active, we have incredible opportunities to win not only the election, but the debate, right?
Now, we have to be careful not to score an own goal, right? Avoid scoring an own goal. Well, let's try to do that, shall we?
[music] Look, let me highlight Lula's speech about Flávio, right? I think it summarizes a bit of what's going to happen in Brazil in the coming weeks, right?
President Lula stated this Thursday that much more will come to light [snoring] when citing the case involving former banker Daniel Vorcarro during a speech at a cultural event. Lula mentioned Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, without naming him, and the financing of the film Dark Horse about President Jair Bolsonaro. Lula said the following, folks: the truth may be slow to come, but it never fails.
Those of you in the cultural sector of this country know how many insults artists have received for trying to get a little money through the Juan de Queiroz law. [snoring] We never sought funding from the Daniel Vorcaro law to finance any Brazilian artist. And much more will come to light, because we are convinced that the period of lies, insults, violence, and incivility needs to end in our country. Then he said the following: "Who would have imagined that that boy, Flávio, right, who seemed to be the most saintly person in the Bolsonaro family, would be taking millions of dollars to make a film about his father? Nobody imagined it.
And that's just what we know now. Lula, you see, Lula is the real marketer of the PT for 50 years, right? He's the one who knows where to hurt, right? And with what [snoring] with what grammar, right? To reach those targets. Well, the statement occurred after Flávio admitted to visiting Vorcaro. Ta-da! Oh, but where's that little bit of Lula's speech? That Ricardo, Lula said the following: "That skinny Ricardo, that guy from Refit, I gave Trump the address of his house and his name." Do you want to fight organized crime? Just give it to me already. Our Federal Police is prepared.
Well, what's coming to Brazil has already happened, right? There's already been a search and seizure operation against Cláudio Castro himself in Rio de Janeiro, and it's going to happen to Flávio again, right?
Flávio is going to face another scandal soon, folks. Just a little patience is needed, and it will happen again soon.
It's important, Lula said, it's important to know that the Federal Police already seize many weapons that come from the United States.
Well, but what bothered people the most, right? It's the right wing and certain sectors of our subservient press, right? It's that Lula said, " Much more is yet to come to light." So I repeat here, it's not because Lula has privileged information about this, it's because it's obvious, everyone knows, everyone is seeing, everyone is following what's happening in Brazil. The Federal Police will not stop working because the elections are in 2026. They will continue doing their job.
Now, something that really strikes me as odd, folks, let's talk a little about Vorcaro now, which is this: let's talk about his plea bargain that never happened.
This is the behind-the-scenes story of Oliveira Lima's nephew leaving, right, Juca, his lawyer. Well, because what's being said is that Vorcaro's lawyer was at odds with André Mendonça.
André Mendonça refused to see Juca because Juca had also committed an unprecedented blunder against himself and against the client.
It seems that the [snoring] lawyer Vorcaro threatened Mendonça, saying: "If you don't accept our collaboration, I'll send it to the Supreme Court's second panel."
And after all that's been said, it's over, right?
André Mendonça has definitively broken ties with that lawyer. That's why he was fired, because he had nothing more to do in that particular case, defending Vorcaro. Well, he was... well, he couldn't have been more welcome. And Vorcaro's collaboration, this initial collaboration was characterized as an insult to the Supreme Court and the Prosecutor's Office, because Vorcaro didn't hand over anything, nothing that the police didn't already know, right?
Vorcaro is simply saying that this is the bluff he's using, right, that he's going to return 40 billion and now he's increasing it to 60 billion. In other words, he's using this bluff to deceive the authorities.
I mean, if the Attorney General's office accepts that Vorcaro will return R $60 billion, the Attorney General's office could be a candidate for the 2026 Golden Raspberry Award, right, for the dumbest institution in Brasília, because this is a bluff by Vorcaro, it's not known if he has 60 billion. It seems very clear to me, right? Vorcaro, he prospered by bluffing, lying, saying he had it, that he didn't have it, selling worthless securities that don't even hold face value, right? And that's how he got rich, so he's doing the same thing again, disrespecting, in my view, the Attorney General's Office, the Federal Police, and the Supreme Court. I think that if he says he's going to return 60 billion, the Attorney General's Office should say the following: "Then show us where your money is. We want to know if that money exists, right? You 're here because you promised the moon and the stars to many people across Brazil, and the money wasn't there. And now you're going to promise us, the people judging you, right? You're going to want to use the same device you used to end up here in jail today. And there are also reports, folks, that Vorcaro was transferred, he's already back in the General Staff room at the Federal Police Superintendency in Brasília, which is that adapted room, that office with a bed and mattress, bedding, a bathroom, a built-in wardrobe, right? It has a ceiling light, it has finishing touches, a toilet, right? All that. He went back to that place because after the falling out between André, André Mendonça got so furious, rightly so, with the arrogance of Vorcaro's lawyer, that he stopped..." They received lawyer Vorcaro and sent him to a common cell in the Federal Police itself, which is a disaster, right? It's a cell that doesn't have a bed. It seems to be just a mattress. The toilet is that famous "boi" (a slang term for a makeshift toilet), you know, a hole in the floor and a cold water pipe for showering. So he was desperate there, he stayed there for four days.
And now André Mendonça authorized his return. I mean, prison is only for the poor, folks, it's good that we get used to this misfortune. In fact, this is more than understood throughout Brazil. Everyone knows this, right? I mean, the conditions of the Brazilian prison system throughout Brazil are like this: a prison with cold floors, cold water, communal toilets, prisoners crammed together and so on. Now, if a rich person gets into a situation like that, people say: "Wow, we have to do something, right?" "It's not sad."
So, my loves, just to wrap up this Vorcaro episode, the detail that frankly intrigues me is that the Federal Police seized eight cell phones from Vorcaro, and so far they've... searched, you know, done the investigations, and only examined 30% of one phone.
The question I ask is, when are they going to inspect the other phones as well? They don't need to. Don't they have enough people in the Federal Police?
They lack staff, they lack specialized personnel. No, I think they need to investigate this phone soon, otherwise the process will drag on. They already have these devices in their hands, I think they've had them for months, right? And they're just sitting there, sealed, stored away. Of course, there's a lot on this phone that they're investigating, they're taking everything out of it, but it's good to take things from everywhere at once, right? I can't understand it. I think for me, this... Hello Andrei Rodrigues, right? You're the director of the Federal Police, I think it's a... a This is a case of incompetence on the part of the Federal Police in this regard. Why are n't they investigating Vorcaro's other cell phones?
Why are they being kept hidden?
What are they waiting for? You know, they have to at least disclose what we know publicly, that the Federal Police have eight cell phones belonging to Daniel Vorcaro and are only investigating one. The question I'm left with is why?
Did you understand?
[music] [music] I'm watching Conde's live stream here on Conde's channel on 247. Let's continue together here. Uh, well, the Folha de S.Paulo poll came out. I already told you about the poll, I don't think I 'll mention it again, right?
Just to clarify, Daniel Vorcaro is willing to increase the amount to be returned in a possible plea bargain with the Attorney General's Office from 40 billion to 60 billion. This is pure bluff, folks. I don't believe that even the press believes that Vorcaro has that amount. Do you understand? This is megalomania... Vorcaro. He's a sick guy too, you know? Look, faced with the Federal Police's resistance to closing a plea bargain with Vorcaro, he agreed to increase the amount to be returned from 40 to 60 billion.
Oh, on his side, the Attorney General's Office informed Vorcaro's lawyers that, in addition to increasing the amount to be returned, it will be necessary to redo his plea bargain plan.
As it stands, Paulo Gonê's team agrees with the Federal Police that it's not possible to close any agreement with the owner of Banco Master. What will end up happening in this case is that there's no need for a plea bargain, there won't be one.
The only interested party in a plea bargain, this is a unique moment in recent Brazilian history, right?
The one most interested in a plea bargain isn't the Federal Police, it's Vorcaro himself, because it's the only way he won't remain in prison, it's the only thing he can do.
So, they just don't talk about it, they haven't explained to Vorcaro that judicial collaboration is a serious matter, right? Someone has to explain that to him. He... It's not like telling a fairy tale, you know, and bluffing by saying he's going to return 100 billion. If you let him, he'll say: "No, I'll return 500 billion, I'll return whatever you want, right?"
Well, someone needs to treat Vorcaro the way he deserves. I don't know if they'll be able to do it. It's no use just putting him in prison with cold water and things like that, right? There's a lot of tension there. His father was arrested, and other figures connected to the family, relatives, were arrested; nephews were also involved in the fraudulent, violent, mafia-like scheme he was running. So, you can't mess around with a guy like that, right? And Roberto Tardelli has already told me this a couple of times, right? The mountain gave birth to a mouse, right? Vorcaro's plan is n't going to happen, is it? He lacks the moral standing to make a plea bargain, the intellectual moral standing to make such a plea bargain. Hey, you little billionaire, you lousy little playboy. So, uh, this guy is going to rot in jail, unless at some point there's a coup, a request for bail, and Gilmar Mendes goes there and says, "No, release him," right? After all, Vorcar hasn't sponsored just how many of Gilmar Mendes' events, right? Of course he sponsored it, right? Wherever there's money in Brazil, these people, this bunch of rats, give lectures, organize events, and who knows what else in Portugal, Buenos Aires, Brazil, Brasília, and buy universities and all that stuff. Well, wherever there's money, those people will be there.
or Vorcaro. That's why Flávio was there asking for money for Vorcaro, because everyone in this country knew, whoever has money here, like, "I'm going to do an event here, I need 5 million," whoever has it will go to Vorcaro. That's how it is in Brazil, who has the money to sponsor this crap? BTG, BTG Pactual always has it, Itaú, Itaú always has it. Bradesco doesn't usually sponsor much. Well, anyway, and other instances and all that, but BTG in the financial market, you want to do it, you want to pull off a scam, hold an event, make some easy money, right? Yeah, go to BTG, go to... And Vorcaro was out of control, right? You'd go up to him and say, " Hey, I need whatever you have," and if you were introduced by the right person, you'd say, "Ah, I need 20 million to do this." Give me 20. Now, Vorcaro was saying it was all fraud, all fraudulent money, he was distributing millions to Nogueira, right? Half a million per month. Is this what you want? Here, take this.
But then you're mine, right? Will you represent me in the Senate, please? So that's it. Well, I want to overcome this issue and, moving forward here, we finally have [music] here, Lili. Lili, Lilits, Lilits. Students from USP, UNESP, and Unicamp, who were on strike, marched to the state government palace on May 20th. Oh, thank you, thank you, dear. Patricia said, "No, I wasn't talking about that.
Public school protests." Oh, there are also protests from the basic education sector, public schools.
Interesting. No, I didn't receive any information about that. I think I received something, I just didn't have time to see it. Hey, let me check this out. Bet Domingues is talking about Brejo das Almas.
Francisca Sá, Minas Gerais, Northern Minas Gerais. Thank you, dear, for being here and for your kindness. Let me see what else you're talking about.
Hmm, let me see here.
T P P P. Thank you, Claudia, for becoming a member of our community.
Ah, ir lla is saying now it's all Xandão's fault. Yes, now it's all Xandão's fault. Everything, everything. I have an ingrown toenail here. It's Xandão's fault. That's it, right? And that's it. And if you disagree with me, I will take it to the Supreme Court. You'll be trying to end democracy if you disagree with me.
Yeah, I'm so delicate, aren't I? Yes, it's an impressive thing. Look, Ana Maria is here. Cuité, Paraíba.
Let me see what else you're talking about.
Anderson is saying the following: "No, no, Conde, the release refers only to one of the cases. The other one is still pending, it will still be processed and she could indeed be extradited. Well, from what I've read so far, they 're celebrating with fireworks, right?
But I hope you're right.
I believe you're right. We'll follow closely. These are breaking news stories, they come in, you have to filter them, let them settle, as the supporters of Flávio Bolsonaro say. You have to wait a little for the news. Sometimes it takes a while to get all the information, it can't all be at once, right? So, that's why there's time. That's why we also need to respect time and not be mere virtue signalers, right? Being a virtue signaler is awful. Look, Hana Hana is saying here, Zambelli went to wash her hair, she doesn't know if she'll come back. She'll be able to use shampoo, right? Her big drama was not being able to use it." The shampoo in that Italian prison, it seems that prison in Italy was a real handful. Wow, there are so many comments here, they've all accumulated so much. Gesiel is saying swamp, swamp of souls is also the name of a book by Carlos Drummond de Andrade. Yes, it is, it must be the name of other things too, right? Because it's so beautiful, isn't it?
Swamp of souls, my loves, speaking of swamp of souls, it's time to go to our swamp of souls, which is the little bed, which is [laughs] it's time to say goodbye, as the Teletubbies of life would say. I even put here, let me put here our farewell banner.
Thank you. Thank you for your affection, for your presence. It's always a pleasure.
Uh, have an excellent weekend.
Send me lots of hearts now when the intro comes up and let's continue watching. Maybe something extraordinary will happen this weekend. If it does, I'll go live to talk to you, okay? To give you news and to comment with you. A kiss very big and even more. เฮ [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] M.
