[00:01:01]>> It's good to be with you, Erin. Good evening. Uh, is it evening or morning in Australia?

[00:01:06]>> It's actually morning, but I'm getting used to almost thinking in two different ways because the majority of my audience is now in America. So, I say goodbye to my daughter at 9:00 a.m. in the morning and I say good night, honey, at the school gates. I need to get my head on properly. Uh, Ambassador, it's insane.

[00:01:25]When I started out refuting lies in this space, there are some that were so ridiculous that I wouldn't even bother because I thought that's actually silly.

[00:01:34]Nobody believes that. Here I am getting the ambassador of Israel in America on to refute that Israel is now training dogs to rape Palestinian prisoners. And it would be funny if it wasn't so serious and dangerous.

[00:01:50]>> Yeah, it's very serious and dangerous.

[00:01:52]Uh this kind of propaganda and liel actually got two of my employees here in the embassy murdered by a uh uh a person who was taken in by these kind of uh irrational uh ideas. Got on a plane with a gun and went looking for two Jews to kill in Washington. Did so a few blocks away from the White House. Uh yeah. Uh look, the the the Nazis under the propagandist minister Gobles perfected this and then the the Soviets took it to a different level, a higher level of insanity. And the idea is that you say something so irrational uh that that the the respondents say, "Well, it's so crazy that must be true."

[00:02:38]>> So, you know, anybody with a conspiratorial mind picks it up. uh you know you some of your colleagues that are podcasters here uh are doing this on a daily basis. It's become the bontan.

[00:02:50]You wake up in the morning, something hurts, it's the Jews to blame. And and it's so insane like you know uh the prime minister of Israel dragged the president of the United States into a war. That's no less crazy than saying that we train dogs to rape Palestinian prisoners. I mean, who drags President Trump into anything?

[00:03:10]The whole thing is just ludicrous, you know. And if if Israel comes and I was in the oval, these people, you know, making up lies on the on the podcast weren't. The prime minister comes like any self-respecting leader of any country, lays down his case in front of the president of the United States. And then the president of United States makes a decision. And this president made a decision that the best ally the United States has is the state of Israel. And when he went to war with Iran, he said, "I want to go with the Israelis because they're not like the French or the Span or the Spain or Spaniards or like the Brits who don't allow us to use their airspace. They actually fly with us."

[00:03:48]>> Yeah.

[00:03:48]>> Right. We flew with the United States shoulder-to-shoulder, wingto-wing in order to uproot this evil coming out of Iran. So, uh, listen, we have to confront this. We have to deal with it.

[00:03:58]You're doing such incredible work by telling the truth. Truth is slow. Lies are rapid. Truth is forever on the defensive, but you have to defend it.

[00:04:06]And you do that >> 100%. And and bless you. The fact that we even have to. And again, if you were just talking about some conspiracy theorist who was, you know, obscure with eight followers, you'd say, "Okay, we we can ignore that." The New York Times is putting this on the front page. When did they a get held to account and b wake up and realize that that they're actually hurting themselves? They're an embarrassment now.

[00:04:36]Unfortunately, there are people who not only live with irrationality, but they also live with embarrassment. And people continue to take that paper newspaper seriously. Um, you know, I I told earlier today that I had a meeting with the editorial board of the New York Times months ago while they were accusing us of starving the population in Gaza. uh you know and I came in with the facts and I showed them how we were facilitating the entry of hundreds of semi-trailers of humanitarian aid every day and um uh they said no that that everybody can't be wrong and u I said well really everybody isn't wrong but when you put a picture of a little baby called Muhammad on the front page of your newspaper with protruding spine and you don't say that it's because of cereable pausy what you're doing is is creating a blood liel because you're saying that I'm killing this little baby by starving him when it has nothing to do whatsoever with the war in Gaza, but the fact that he was born with a with a horrible a horrible disease. So, this is something that, you know, is becoming very popular today. Uh the bontan is how to attack Israel. Okay. Every day we've got another crisis here. Somebody wakes up in the morning, issues a tweet that uh we're holding with u withholding humanitarian aid from southern Lebanon or we're creating havoc and depriving the Gazins of water or we're raping Palestinian prisoners. Israel is a a state of law. And when we went into Gaza, we went in after a mass slaughter of 1,200 people. Could you imagine if you know a border town here in the United States or or in Australia was firing missiles into civilian population centers? Would anybody criticize Australia for going after the people doing it?

[00:06:17]>> And here we are in South Lebanon. Why are we there? I mean, look, I'm about to embark on two days of intensive uh negotiations with the Lebanese government uh over hopefully achieving peace with Lebanon. And the amazing thing is Erin, they want peace as much as we do. They want they want out of there. is this terrorist organization funded by Iran that has basically taken over Lebanon is shooting at Israeli civilians as as they will and we came to put a stop to it. And if we put a stop to it, Lebanese are going to be free of this terrorist group as well. So, you know, and and nevertheless, we have this insanity constantly being broadcast every day, a a new charge against us.

[00:06:59]But look, there's good people out there.

[00:07:01]You're one of the best. you're you're you're at putting out the the the truth there on a daily basis and we just have to keep going up against this um wave of of lies and liels. One day we'll come through it >> 100%. I have no doubt and even just the growth of this channel on its own and I love that for me individually. [00:09:04]Marco Rubio said exactly what you're saying now. Lebanon and Israel share the same enemy and it is Hezbollah. I want to touch on that in just a moment, but I want to go back to something you said.

[00:09:14]You spoke about the insanity of trying to say that anyone told Donald Trump what to do. And we had someone like Megan Kelly who said exactly that less than a year ago. Now she's saying BB tricked him into war. Then she's commenting on BB's 60 Minutes interview a couple of days ago, saying that the moment Netanyahu picked up the reporter's phone to demonstrate how effective this propaganda is, that this was a chilling moment, insinuating that he was threatening the journalist. It actually, you're right, earlier you can't actually, you lie in such a big way that people go, "No one could be that silly to tell such a big lie, so it must be true." Even that, what do you make of that? She's saying, "Oh, it's chilling the way he picked up his phone." Netanyahu essentially said, "See this phone? This is what people can do.

[00:10:00]They can, you know, use bots and they can use the internet and social media and absolutely destroy reputations, which we're watching in real time." That ain't chilling.

[00:10:10]>> You know what it is? It's not chilling, but it's a shill. Shill means that you're doing you're doing propaganda while looking impartial. She appears to be impartial, but she's not at all.

[00:10:20]She's drank from the Kool-Aid. The same Kool-Aid. The same cup with the Kool-Aid that uh Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens have have drunk from. It's so unfortunate. I mean, uh uh you know, they they are normalizing insanity.

[00:10:33]They're normalizing this con conspiratorial nonsense.

[00:10:36]>> And Tucker Carlson has the the gall utter gall to say that we need a DNA test in Israel.

[00:10:45]>> We're not really Jews. You know, it's interesting, Erin. Was there a DNA test in Avitz?

[00:10:51]>> No.

[00:10:51]>> No. No. Because when you're talking about dead Jews who can't defend themselves, they don't need a DNA test.

[00:10:56]But if they're Jews who are going to defend themselves and no longer be helpless and hopeless, they need a DNA test.

[00:11:02]>> Sorry. Sorry, Tucker. Go back to your little rat hole of anti-semitism and sulk. We're not going to succumb uh to your to your verbal attacks. You know, there's there's uh there's people I know who are who are arrogant, but they're very intelligent. Then there are people then there are people who are ignorant, but they're very modest.

[00:11:25]>> The most toxic brew in life is somebody who's both ignorant and arrogant.

[00:11:30]>> And there's nobody more ignorant and arrogant than Tucker Carlson.

[00:11:34]>> What a combination you've I can't improve on that. And that's rare for me.

[00:11:37]I like to think I can always add value with my words, but that was utter perfection. Ambassador, you said you're about to head into a couple of days of negotiations with Lebanon. What are the prospects for that? And what's the reaction of the Lebanese government? Do you think they're as sick of Hezbollah as you are? Maybe not as vocal because they they've got domestic politics at play, but will we see something historic?

[00:12:02]>> We're working on it. We want very much to reach a a peace agreement with Lebanon. It should objectively happen because they don't want kisbala there.

[00:12:11]And uh look, all over the world, Jews and Lebanese are doing business together and they're doing so brilliantly. And if you go to South America, here in the United States, all over Europe, there's no reason why we can't live side by side. uh the land of the cedars and the lands of uh of historic Israel, the biblical lands. We can live together, do business together, trade together, tour together, and make the world a better place. But the problem is you've got an Iranian proxy, and a lot is going to be dependent on how the war with Iran ends.

[00:12:44]If Iran is degraded to the point where they can no longer fund to the tune of a billion dollars a year, which they've done until now, then is going to be in a very difficult predicament and they're not going to be able to survive and that will help us reach an agreement with Lebanon. If unfortunately we have a situation where uh Iran remains standing strong enough to continue to support Kisbala, we're going to have a big problem because they've got a noose around the neck of the Lebanese government and much of the Iran uh Lebanese people and either we free the country uh kinetically militarily from Kazbala or somebody else has got to do it. So >> Israel, my apologies for interrupting.

[00:13:26]Israel can never accept an outcome where the regime, the Islamic regime of Iran remains in power and funding proxies, can it? America might. But I can't imagine Israel would ever accept that as an outcome.

[00:13:39]>> Well, Erin, we we we may have to accept it practically. We hope that won't be the case. You know, look, we're the junior partner here. The United States of America is the United States of America. And as I said before, Prime Minister Netanyahu came, he presented his case to the United States. We're on the same page 98% of the time. Okay.

[00:14:01]>> What's the 2%?

[00:14:03]>> Well, I I'll look for something. I'll look for something. It may be 100%, but I'm just saying 98 because there's got to be something. It may be on this, you know, it may be that we'd like to go a little further with with uh bringing down the Iranian regime, causing it to collapse, but you know, the United States has a lot of considerations to make that we don't there are a lot of vectors coming into that kind of decision. And we understand that uh we understand that we're the junior partner. United States is a senior partner. We're the we're the best partner they can have and and and uh they're the best partner we can have.

[00:14:33]You know, when people say here, "Well, how do you deal ambassador with the idea of America first?" I say I love America first because America first means it's not China first or it's not Russia first. And if America is first, Israel's strong.

[00:14:47]>> I there's so much I could talk to you about. I could spend an hour. I I'm going to ask you one more question though. I know how valuable your time is.

[00:14:53]>> Well, we've got to make another date.

[00:14:55]>> Absolutely. Because I want to get into China as well. I want to get into Russia. I want to get into the Islamic regime in more and in an more intense way. But let me just finish on this. You look at the podcasters that we've spoken about who sit there and and try and make excuses for Islamic extremism. We look at bluehead 40-year-old women in Europe who march alongside Hezbollah flags. We look at idiotic university students who think that in some way the innocent are the ones who are slaughtering like we saw on October 7. You've lived this firsthand. You have lived terror firsthand. Can you tell me a little bit about your story and I I guess you don't need any more motivation, but what drives you to fight every single day?

[00:15:42]>> Well, I've I've confronted Palestinian terrorism ever since I moved to Israel in 1978, but my life changed when I lost my oldest son as he led forces into Gaza.

[00:15:54]He was a um company commander was actually at the battalion level but in the war he decided to go in with his own company. He had spent 15 years in special ops in the air force and he had just completed medical school. He was 39 with six kids.

[00:16:09]>> Wow.

[00:16:09]>> And u he chose he chose to go in and lead actually the company that led the brigade in uh against kamas.

[00:16:16]>> And when the prime minister called me and asked me if I would um if I would go to Washington and I hesitated for a moment. and he said, "What would your son say?" And you know when you when you lose somebody uh so dear, he was he was my oldest of eight children. He's my best friend. Uh and um you you have to make a decision in life how you go on if you go on and um at that time it was about 6 months after I lost him and I was really scraping myself off the floor and uh you know just kind of in the morning how you pulled a blanket over your head and just wanted things to go away and I realized at that moment that this was an obligation I had to my son to go on living for him. So yeah, I I battle here on this eighth front uh of the um the propaganda war against Israel uh every day. It's it's tough out here in Washington. Um there's so there's so so much politics right now that have become h very very difficult for Israel, you know. Uh and um but we have many friends and this is what gives me hope.

[00:17:23]I go around this country. I go into churches Sunday mornings. I give sermons. I meet with groups all day every day from around the country and there's a lot of common sense. There's more common sense in this country than there is corrupt ideas and they're not letting these uh you know these these propagandists and these conspiratorial podcasters corrupt their minds. So it gives me a lot of hope. I go into I was in Congress today for four hours with different congressmen and you know I walk into a congressman with no Jewish constituents whatsoever and the first thing he says to me is what can I do for you? You know how's how's our relationship going with Israel? You know and and that's just wonderful. And I think that after this this war epic fury and roaring lion more and more Americans know that we're are the best ally the United States has. We're not Spain.

[00:18:12]We're not France. We're not the UK that wants to prevent American air airplanes from flying over their airspace. Uh we're flying together with the United States. And I I hope and pray that there'll be a government in Australia soon too that will recognize >> why.

[00:18:28]>> What we're doing, what we're doing is protecting Western civilization because these Iranians, what they're after, these Ayatollas, not the Iranian people.

[00:18:36]The Iranian people are brilliant people.

[00:18:38]>> Incredible. You know, 80% of these people are so much opposed to this regime and they're pro- western. They want to live side by side with Western civilization. What we're doing right now in this war by bring these Ayatollas down is battling for Western civilization, a preservation of Western civilization because their ideology is not to accommodate like the Abraham Accords. They don't want to accommodate Judeo-Christian civilization. They want to destroy it. And if we degrade them, the possibility for peace becomes ever more real. That's what we're hoping for.

[00:19:10]>> Uh, well said. I lost my beautiful dad a couple of years ago, and I know that there is zero comparison between losing a child and losing a parent. But I would say to you this, the pain of losing him is as acute today as it was 2 and 1/2 years ago. But what a privilege to feel so much pain at his loss because he was so incredible. And I imagine that's the same with your son. And he would be so immensely proud of you. I have no doubt.
