The Simplicity of THE MANDALORIAN

[00:00:00]To be clear, I have nothing against Ahsoka or Clone Wars or Rebels or any subsection of the Star Wars fandom. It's just that I like those series for different reason. The reason I like The Mandalorian is the simplicity of the storytelling. The scripts were often light, but the cinematic presentation got you immersed in what was happening, meaning you had to sit up and pay attention. So, when other bits of the galaxy started creeping in, I was annoyed not because these characters were here, but because I felt like it was interrupting what was supposed to be a rather pure experience. The Mandalorian and Grogu does not have that problem. This story is firmly about the title characters. One or both of them are in every major scene, and extended portions [music] take the time to show you they really got Pedro Pascal on set and not his stunt doubles.
