[00:00:05]They aim to position themselves as the truth, as virtue, as love, as God. And they invalidate your intuition, your conscience, and your values. And they're going to twist spiritual language like forgiveness and loyalty and devotion and destiny to capture you. And this creates a profound injury where your own inner authority is replaced by theirs. And your sense of right and wrong, it becomes then externally controlled.

[00:00:38]And then your connection to something that is larger than the abuser, your divine connection, is distorted.

[00:00:47]Survivors, they often describe this as, you know, "My soul was taken. I felt like I wasn't myself anymore. I felt hollow or possessed." This is partly identity annihilation.
