This video critiques Australia's separate Indigenous foreign policy framework, including a $266,000 contract for First Nations approaches and a $400,000 annual salary for an Indigenous ambassador with a $13.6 million budget, arguing that such resources should instead address domestic challenges like overcrowded housing, poor health outcomes, and limited economic opportunities facing Indigenous communities.

Added:Good day, mate. It's Tony Canberra.
Now, I'm trying to understand something.
According to reports, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade awarded a $266,000 contract to help develop a First Nations approach to foreign policy.
Now, maybe someone can explain this to me. Australia already has one foreign policy. We are one nation represented by one government speaking with one voice to the rest of the world. So, why are taxpayers funding separate strategies, separate frameworks, and separate approaches based on ancestry?
Now, we also have Justin Mohamed.
He's been appointed as Australia's ambassador for First Nations people, earning an annual salary of around $400,000.
And that's nice if you can get it.
In addition to that salary, the role is supported by a team of 10 staff and a 4-year operational and travel budget to the tune of $13.6 million.
With the office undertaking international travel to promote indigenous perspectives and engagement on the global stage.
Why do we need another bureaucracy, another strategy, another government office, and another ambassador flying around the world when many indigenous Australians are still living in third world conditions that would be embarrassed a wealthy country like Australia.
What I see is a two-tier system. At the top is the indigenous royal court of bureaucrats, advisers, and activists mingling with politicians, celebrities, and government officials jet-setting around the globe to conferences and diplomatic gatherings, explaining to well-heeled audiences how Captain Cook invaded [clears throat] Australia and how colonial Britain is responsible for virtually every challenge facing the indigenous Australians today.
And at the bottom are the indigenous peasants still waiting for decent housing, better health, safer communities, and real opportunities.
Her message to comrade Albo, before we take indigenous policies to international conferences and global forums, please look into the eyes of the indigenous Australians still living with overcrowded housing, sexual abuse, women being bashed, poor health outcomes, and limited career opportunities. Because no speech overseas can mean more to them than real change in the communities that have been waiting for it for generations.
