Don Davies calls on Liberals to protect Canada's strategic infrastructure, stop privatization agenda

[00:00:00]Liberals are planning to sell off Canada's ports and airports. When the UK privatized Heathrow, costs skyrocketed and service declined. Today, the governments of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and China control major stakes in that airport. Has this government conducted a full national security review of the risks posed by foreign and state-linked entities acquiring ownership of Canada's strategic infrastructure?

[00:00:30]>> Mr. Speaker, what we have said in the spring economic update is that we would gather the relevant information from airport authorities so that we can do a proper due diligence. We can assess what's best for Canadians and and I think Canadians understand we need to modernize the way that we build, operate, and maintain infrastructure, public infrastructure in this country.
