[00:11:03]Let me explain what happened in the Great Emu War.

[00:11:14]Um, in 1932, um, whole bunch of new settlers pushed out into the Western Australia and cleared the land and all this stuff.

[00:11:39]and they didn't realize they were making a perfect environment for emu, which are sort of small ostriches.

[00:11:48]Well, here they are trying to do their farms, which is hard enough in that land. Oh, the towers are moving. Um, and suddenly they're beset by not making this up, 20,000 5- foot tall emus that are eating everything and knocking everything down and destroying rabbit proof fences and all that kind of stuff. Okay. So, they for some odd reason decide to ask the government to do something about it since it gave them the land in the first place.

[00:12:35]And the government comes out out with a great idea. They have a whole lot of former soldiers left over from World War One and uh yeah, World War I. And They send over a bunch of machine guns and they say just mow them down.

[00:12:59]So basically the government of Australia declares war.

[00:13:09]Oo, that's nice.

[00:13:12]Those are prop um Australian $100 bills.

[00:13:15]I can turn them into a regular $100 bills. American rather.

[00:13:20]Anyway, so they take the machine guns out there.

[00:13:28]This might be triggering for animal lovers.

[00:13:32]There are 20,000 of them. Hey. Um, Mossum.

[00:13:37]Um, there are 20,000 of them and 5 foot tall. Anyway, they take the machine guns, they declare war on the emu, open fire, and the emu's won.

[00:14:07]Turned out Neu could take six or seven hits before it stopped coming.

[00:14:17]And two, they were just an emu can run at up to 30 m an hour. So they just scattered in all directions.

[00:14:46]Anyway, as you can imagine, this is a heck of a story.

[00:14:57]But you know what? If anyone ever doubts that birds are dinosaurs, just check out some emu.

[00:18:34]We died like flies and they're still undeveloped. So, we have a different attitude toward the whole go out and explore the strange unknown.

[00:20:40]And suddenly there are giant bunnies attacking all the cities in Arizona. And I keep thinking it's an Australian movie because of their problems with rabbits, but it's not.

[00:20:57]And the only way to describe it, it was in the uh Michael Medv review. All that movie proves is that rabbits, even when filmed in tight closeup, to look large and menacing, are incapable of frightening anyone.
