[00:00:06]First, find out what zone you're in, including what grows well and what doesn't. Second, plan out what you think you'll actually eat, and then plant them with good companion plants. For instance, if you want to grow tomatoes, you might want to plant basil because it repels pests while also improving flavor and growth. Third, inspect the soil you plan to grow food in. Not all your land will be suitable for good growing. Prep the spaces according to the plants you intend to grow there. You may need to add amendments to improve drainage or add compost to revive dying soil.
