Can the Iran Ceasefire Hold?

[00:00:00]The ceasefire has really been fairly leaky so far and that includes the ceasefire between the United States and Iran. If you look at add into the mix what's happening in Lebanon between Hezbollah and the Israelis it's it's very leaky but as long as both sides continue to agree that the ceasefire is generally in effect which is the case then then we're able to move forward in the in the negotiations. I think the issue we have here is that even a small tactical action like taking out a couple of mine laying craft in inside the Strait of Hormuz can lead to strategic consequence where one side or the other decides the ceasefire is no longer in effect.

[00:00:46]We're going to conduct some general strikes whether they're quote on quote retaliatory strikes on the part of the Iranians or retaliatory strikes on the part of the United States doesn't really matter.

[00:00:58]So there's a lot of tension here and the sooner we can move past the ceasefire to a a more permanent negotiation the better the opportunity to reduce the tension to get the straight opened up and to get things back to normal in the region.
