The Supreme Court has ruled that racial gerrymandering—redistricting electoral districts based on race to benefit a political party—is unconstitutional under the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution, and federal judges who attempt to block such maps are defying clear Supreme Court precedent.

BREAKING: Supreme Court DEFIED — Rogue Judges’ Ruling Triggers Constitutional CrisisAdded:
Welcome back to Explain America. This is your host Kyle Becker. Now, the Supreme Court had already given its decision in Louisiana versus Cala. And you would think that judges across the country would take a hint that the Voting Rights Act does not authorize you to racially gerrymander your state to benefit the Democratic Party and to have little racial thiefs across the country. that is unamerican and it doesn't comport with the equal protection clause of the constitution. And so we have seen the bastardization of this voting rights act for decades. And the Democratic party is not happy at all that it is being unraveled before their very eyes. That all of their scheming that they have taken uh to an extreme length uh in this country to get false representation and not just gerrymandering but also rigging the census and a lot of other dastardly deeds when it comes to our elections.
Well, they don't like it when the Republicans fight fire with fire. And so now we have rogue judges who are pushing back against the Supreme Court. This is utterly absurd. But before we get into this story, please like, share, and comment at Explained America. We appreciate your support for Common Sense Journalism. Now, when I first saw this story that Alabama judges in a federal court had essentially decided that the map in Alabama uh that would remove a few of those black majority districts was uh unconstitutional and that they were going to block it from taking place uh in the 2026 midterms. I thought I was in a time machine. I had to do a double take because the Supreme Court has already ruled on this. So, it's not clear to me what these federal judges think that they're doing, except they're just throwing a little hissy fit. It's very unbecoming of a judge. And uh I believe if I had my brothers, they would be stripped of their robes and uh disbarred and removed from the bench uh for deprivation of rights under color of law because it violates the equal protection clause to racially gerrymander this country. We are not in the Balkans. uh we are not carving our country up into little racial uh thief dums and uh this is not what we're supposed to be. We're supposed to be a melting pot and we're supposed to have equal protection of US citizens regardless of their skin color and we need to stop having all of these little uh identity groups and special protection classes. We need to start enforcing rights equally. I know it's a novel concept for some uh woke judges out there, but now Alabama's map uh it's uh is in limbo because of these federal judges, uh three of them, and they are uh going to have to take this case to the Supreme Court where they've already ruled. I have a gut feeling about all of this that Clarence Thomas is not going to like seeing this case in his docket.
Uh he's going to tell them exactly what I'm telling you. uh much more eloquently of course and astutely when it comes to the law and that they've already ruled on this and so why are you sending this back to the court for clarification when it's already been clarified. This is uh not and actually I was very surprised when the ruling came out because it went further than I expected. It was very clear that this racial gerrymandering that mostly Democrats have been doing for decades is unconstitutional. So in other words, it's uh not just a matter of law where these uh districts could be argued in court that they are uh racially gerrymandered or not. They are saying this racial gerrymandering is unconstitutional period. So, that was a very stark ruling and it's not very hard to interpret if you're a skilled judge and uh that's why I don't understand why they have to send this case back to the Supreme Court. But we expect that uh you know Alo and Thomas and Gorsuch uh they're going to make it very clear to these judges exactly what they think about this ruling. So, we end with your thoughts about this story. We always appreciate hearing from you at Explain America.
