Trump Officials Drop Charges Against Israeli Man Tied to Sketchy Bio Lab

[00:00:00]An Israeli born Trump appointed US attorney who's called for Gaza to be wiped off the map and has called kids in Gaza terrorists has dropped charges against an Israeli man linked to a suspicious bio lab in Nevada. So in January Ori Solomon was arrested on a felony charge of improperly disposing hazardous waste as part of a broader investigation into a bio lab found inside a home that he managed. Two people who entered the home which had fridges containing vials of unidentified liquids fell deathly ill after being exposed to whatever was inside.

[00:00:32]>> [music] >> Materials there were consistent to items found in a different California lab allegedly [music] used to make unauthorized test kits including for pregnancy and COVID. Around a thousand mice in poor condition were found in that lab along with vials labeled with diseases like HIV, malaria, and Ebola.

[00:00:51]Shortly after Ori Solomon's arrest he was charged with possession of a firearm because his non-immigrant visa prevented him from having a gun and he was found with multiple.

[00:01:01]But then this month the government dismissed the charges. Prosecutors said after a careful review of the evidence and additional information they concluded that the interests of justice require dismissal of the complaint at this time.

[00:01:18]The person whose office has overseen the case is Sigal Chattah acting US attorney for the District of Nevada. She's an Israeli born attorney who Trump appointed last year and at the time she was still serving as Nevada's national committee woman to the RNC.

[00:01:36]>> [music] >> Nevertheless she somehow held down both jobs for months. She attracted a lot of backlash from officials, watchdogs, and even 116 former judges and she responded ominously.

[00:02:01]>> Trump extended her term without Senate confirmation. Even while a federal court ruled she wasn't validly serving as acting US attorney, she's continued since. And she's been vicious towards Palestinians. She's called to wipe Gaza off the map. She said there are no innocent civilians in Gaza. She's even called the kids in Gaza terrorists. Now, her office dismissed gun charges against an Israeli who's connected to a broader investigation of biolabs on US soil.
