I'm sitting at the Nanaimo River, one of my favorite places that I share a lot of videos from.
And yeah, I guess come here to think and find stillness and time away from my phone, from noise, even though I'm on my phone right now.
Um yeah, it this gives me that space that I need. Um And the water, there's something about the water and how it can connect me back into my emotions and feelings in such a gentle way.
And the birds, the sound of the birds.
I can still hear the traffic and that doesn't bother me. This just really gets you into that present present moment space where, you know, you can meet yourself with less worry and less the thoughts of oh, I wish I would have done that. You know, that rumination, we can go back into the past.
Um yeah, so as I'm sitting here, I'm thinking about and something I've been um thinking about is forgiveness.
And you know, I practice this quite a bit with myself over the years. Every time I've messed up, every time that um you know, I blamed myself for something and it we really wasn't my fault, but I took the blame.
You know, just coming back to a place of forgiveness in my heart and you know, how that energy of that act with yourself is so supportive, so necessary in order to bring the heaviness out of your life.
And it's not just, you know, there's you know, you think about all the times that you've messed up in life or you've done something to someone else and they've forgiven you.
You know, and I think that's something that we need to also look at is like how can we forgive others?
And um you know, move past that cuz we don't need to hang on to it. It's like a bag and you just keep throwing stuff into the bag and that bag in your back just gets heavier and heavier. And I, you know, you know, I've had times in my life where I was hanging on to so much my body could I could actually feel it, right?
So, if you sit with forgiveness, you know, it can be confronting, but it can also, over time as we move through it, lighten you up.
