THE FUTURE OF RESEARCH AND TESTING IS ON CAPITOL HILL
Added:Hi, I'm Emily Anderson with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. We're here on the Hill today talking to legislators about human-relevant technologies that can replace the use of animals in research and testing.
>> And I'm Dr. Katherine Krabs, also with the Physicians Committee. This week in Washington, D.C. is the Microphysiological Systems World Summit.
This is a conference bringing researchers from all over the world to convene to talk about the latest advances in these exciting technologies that are based in human biology and can help replace the use of animals in research and testing. So, we decided to bring some of these great scientists in the field up to Capitol Hill to talk about what researchers need to help implement these technologies more broadly so that we can reduce the use of animals in research and testing and improve patient outcomes.
>> We're excited to continue working with members of Congress and with the International MPS Society to continue building support for these exciting technologies.
