Civil unrest and protests often emerge when citizens perceive government corruption, discrimination, or failure to represent their interests, as demonstrated by the 2026 Bolivia protests where indigenous populations from rural areas mobilized in La Paz demanding government resignation, illustrating how widespread public dissatisfaction can escalate into significant political crises that challenge governmental authority.

Anyway, guys, once again, let's walk with God, you know.
>> [snorts] >> Definitely.
It's been 3 weeks. Bolivia is passing through a lot of manifestation. And well, to make it short, I believe that, you know, people want to take over the the government, [snorts] you know. People are not happy at all about the actual government. That is why there is a lot of uh manifestation. Look at that.
>> [snorts] >> This is insane, guys, eh. I am telling you. Here, you see a lot of indigenous people who came all the way from the countryside. Look at that.
>> [snorts] [snorts] >> I am going to lie. It's a bit scary for sure.

So, today once again, we are going to get different people on camera.
And I guess I So, to make it short, people want the government to resign. [cheering] So, this is going to be a very big war, eh?
Anyway, guys.
Once again, today those streets are super packed, eh?
They're super full of people.
>> [snorts] >> No way, [ __ ] I got Guys, you know, we are witnessing something very important today here in Bolivia, you know?
>> [snorts] >> The The government is pretty much collapsing.
Insane.
So, guys, if some of you are wondering why I am still here, I cannot leave the country because all the roads are blocked, you know? So, I am pretty much stuck here for now.
And uh yeah, until the situation gets better, I could leave, you know? But for now, all the roads are blocked.
>> [screaming] >> I believe today it is going to be a a big mess, eh? For sure.
>> [cheering] >> So, all those people came from the the countryside to manifest in La Paz, which is the the capital of the the country.
There is two capitals here in in Bolivia. Sucre, which is I believe the capital administrative, and La Paz, or maybe I got it wrong, you know.
But uh anyway guys, this is like I don't even know how to to describe, eh.
This is very uh unreal for me, you know, to be here in this uh exact moment in La Paz.
Yeah, I see a lot of people uh running, eh.
[ __ ] >> [snorts] >> No way.
I think look at this.
Those streets are pretty much uh packed, eh, of people.
Let me uh take you a little bit closer.
There is a lot of uh journalists as well.
To tell you the truth, today I am not as confident as I was, eh, a couple days ago.
Look at that.
>> [laughter] >> There is some tear gas, I >> [clears throat] >> So, what you hear are explosions.
I think it's better also to take some distance, you know.
>> [snorts] [clears throat] [gasps] [snorts] >> So, well, apparently, there is even more protesters who are coming from El Alto.
So, [snorts] I believe today it is going to be a big mess, say, for sure, unfortunately.
There is a lot of tear gas, as well.
>> [snorts] >> And yes.
>> [snorts] >> Okay, [sighs] guys.
>> [snorts] >> The government is a collapsing aid.
And this is what we are witnessing, guys, you know.
The collapse of the the government.
>> [snorts] >> This could definitely turn into a a civil war, eh?
For for sure.
I want to get closer but I think it's not so so safe, eh?
I think I will try to take you on a on that way.
>> [snorts] >> So, on that side, guys, we got all the local newspaper.
And yeah.
>> [snorts] >> Things that you know the situation of the government.
So, well, guys, to make it short, people are fighting for their uh for their right, eh? They are not happy about the the government here in uh Bolivia and apparently some of them feel some type of uh discrimination. So, you know, all of those people you are seeing are pretty much fighting for their right, eh?
More people are coming on uh on that way. So, well, we have to understand that, you know, those people are fighting for their rights.
They kind of feel some type of uh discrimination by this government and and uh yes, guys, we have to uh understand where they are all uh coming from, eh? Definitely. So, let's uh stick around and uh let's try to get some uh some people on camera.
On that side, we have the the cops, eh?
I believe ready to uh fire some uh some tear gas, you know.
>> [snorts] >> Let me go uh on on that way.
So, they are also saying that the government is uh robbing a lot, you know. There is a lot of corruption.
So, yes.
Let me take you a little bit on on that side, eh, to see what is going on. But, once again, all of those people came from the the countryside. So, I believe that today we are going to witness at least three what is it called?
At the same time, you know.
So, [snorts] yes.
>> [clears throat] >> I would love to ask some some question, eh, but I think those people don't speak any English.
Amigos?
the Plaza Murillo?
what is it called? Magisterio?
Here it seems that Comerciantes. Asociación Comerciantes, yes.
And you, sir, what do you think about that?
Well, if a if a town is in crying, it's because something hurts them.
>> Correct. You have to listen.
Yes.
>> [snorts] >> I just got a small interview.
I've just you say, so Today there is like even more people than last week, you know. So >> [clears throat] [snorts] >> This is uh intense, eh?
Look at that, guys. I believe [snorts] that, you know, the government is going to collapse, eh? [ __ ] Look at that, guys. There is like thousand of people.
Crazy.
>> [snorts] >> I believe that, you know, the government is going to collapse, eh? And rather persons, you know.
>> [snorts] >> So the entire population of Bolivia is around 12 million. So I am not sure how many people are here today, but uh definitely a lot, eh?
I'm not sure if I should take you on that way or down on on that way, you know.
[ __ ] Look at that.
This is intense, eh? First time I am witnessing this kind of uh protestation.
So you know, sometimes some people do think like wisely, but sometimes some people don't think like wisely, you know. So some people come here as well with a different mindset, you know.
Unfortunately.
But uh well >> Well, let's keep on documenting.
So, street are super packed, eh?
So.
This is going to turn into a civil war.
I have I have a feeling, eh?
I also think that, you know, there is like too much people for the cops to uh control the the situation, you know.
So, yes.
Guys, I think there is like more than 10,000 people, eh? Or even more, you know.
Look at that, uh guys, you know.
[ __ ] I'm not sure which way I should take you, but I think all the ministry will be on that side, eh? Definitely.
And those people are coming from El El Alto, which is on on that way, you know.
Wow.
I am now heading toward la la Iglesia Santiago.
So, yes.
Look at that, eh?
Amigo.
Amigo.
Amigo.
>> [cheering] >> Kindly show me some love.
Give this video a like. Subscribe to the channel. And uh yes.
This is very uh important, eh, what we are witnessing.
So.
I believe that you know the majority of the people here are indigenous.
I believe that you know we are going to witness a takeover array for sure.
Look at that guys. There is people everywhere. Right, left, center, you know.
Insane. [snorts] >> [snorts] [snorts] >> People are looking at me what the heck I am doing here you know.
I am just doing my job hey.
>> [cheering] >> [ __ ] I don't have anything for the tear gas so let's be ready to run you know.
So people are saying that you know they want the government to resign.
>> See?
So people are trying to go up the street, you know. Because once they make it up the street, they are going to reach La Plaza Presidencial.
They are going to shoot some material guys, you know.
Yeah, people are crazy.
See?
>> [cheering] >> This is a massacre.
>> Look at those guys, eh.
>> [clears throat] [snorts] [snorts] >> [ __ ] tear gas, eh.
Guys, look at that, eh.
[ __ ] There is a lot of people on that side, you know, on that side, eh.
I wish I could have a mask, eh.
>> [cheering] >> Now, guys, I think the people are I'm to win, eh, this time, you know. There is way too much people, you know. Crazy.
No way.
See you guys, guys.
Apparently, if you smoke a cigarette, it doesn't affect you.
This is what I got told, you know.
This is wild, eh?
>> [snorts] >> This is madness.
>> This is super wild, right?
And also super dangerous, you know.
>> [snorts] [snorts] >> So, once again, like I said, people are trying to reach La Plaza Murillo, which is the main the main artery.
I think this is where you find the most important office in La Plaza Murillo.
So, the cops are trying to de-escalate the situation, but it's super hard way because, you know, there is people in four corners way, so >> [clears throat] >> I am not sure which way is the center of the city. Like you can see, people running and all the stores are closed.
This is wild.
Let's uh take you to a different spot, you know.
>> [snorts] >> Like you can see, guys, there is a lot of people there.
Look at that. The government is going to uh collapse, hey, for sure.
Look at that, guys.
There is too many people outside.
>> Anyway, most important, let's be safe, eh, because some people, for some reason, are going to see you like an enemy, you know?
>> [snorts] >> Let me know in the comment section down below if this look like a civil war, eh, to you, you know?
But, [snorts] yo, I feel, you know, this is a civil war.
The the population is fighting with the government. Look at that. There is a lot of people, once again, they are all trying to get to La Plaza Mayor, which is where you find, I think so, the office of the the president, you know?
So, they are all trying to go up there.
But, like we have seen, the the cops are blocking the the road, eh.
>> [snorts] >> Not sure if I should take you on that way, though, eh.
Yo. [snorts] So, La Presidencia is in La Plaza Mayor.
And, well, people are trying to get to La Presidencia to try to take over the the government, you know?
[ __ ] look at that.
>> The gas, the tear gas, are too bad today, you know.
That make you feel that you want to collapse.
So, I don't take party for anything, you know. I am just uh documenting the the situation, guys, you know. So.
Yes.
It just happened for me to to be here.
And well, I just want to document what is going on, you know.
Look at that. There is a lot of people here.
Let me know what do you think, guys, hey.
Let me know what do you think.
Unfortunately, some people >> [cheering] >> don't like when you film, hey.
Which make it super difficult, you know.
Everybody's filming, but you know, for some reason, sometime, people don't like when you film, hey.
>> [clears throat] >> Bravo!
>> [cheering] >> Ali!
Ali!
Ali!
>> [music] >> Bravo!
I am not sure which way is the safest way.
[ __ ] >> [cheering] >> Well, guys, I have no idea what time it is, but the situation is uh still being the same.
There is a lot of people >> [snorts] >> on the main street who are trying to make their way to uh La Plaza Mayor.
This is where you find La Providencia.
So, >> [clears throat] [snorts] >> it's definitely a big mess, hey?
For sure, guys.
And well, like you can see, everything is uh shut down.
So, very intense, you know? I try to be as much careful as I can, but sometime people are uh tripping, you know? So, when they see you as a foreigner, sometime people are getting very uh violent, you know? For no for no reason.
So, [snorts] well, it's a big mess, eh? Yeah.
I am telling you and I think it is going to be like that all this week. So, >> [snorts] >> yes, guys.
I think sooner I will get back to my apartment to charge my GoPro.
So, guys, I am currently standing in the middle of the downtown of La Paz and well, this is the current situation.
There is thousand and thousand of people here on the street protesting. So, this is super complex, eh?
I am also seeing a lot of people passing out.
So, let's be once again super careful with the camera because you know people are getting mad for no reason, you know.
Anyway, guys, this is the state of La Paz in 2026.
People are protesting for their rights, you know.
And here today, you see a lot of indigenous people.
I couldn't tell you how many people are on the street today, but a lot.
I think, unfortunately, people don't realize how many there are, you know, because if all of them are going toward La Plaza Mayor, I think it's over, you know. I am seeing much more people than the cops, you know.
>> [snorts] [snorts] >> Guys, I made it back home, but uh look what is going on outside, you know?
This is [snorts] insane, eh?
[ __ ] Look at that, guys.
Just outside my apartment.
This is a big mess, eh? No way.
[ __ ] By the way, I am seeing a lot of people being arrested, you know? So, first of all, I want to charge my uh battery, and then I will keep on filming.
See you.
Guys, I am currently with uh Alejandro from uh Bolivia, and well, today he's going to uh explain to us about the current situation here in La Paz.
Well, it was a chaos because the demonstrators, they tried to take down the the main uh police office uh where all the um the guys who were demonstrating the court last Sunday they were arrested. They They're being kept in the place named Fuerza Especial de Lucha Contra el Crimen, right? That's FELCC.
And where was that, Alejandro? It's over there.
Yeah. Wow.
>> Well, since they So, this is like a type of a police station, yeah?
>> It's a police station. Like, it's one of the main ones because the acronym the acronym that says FELCC, that it stands for crime.
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, they wanted to take down them.
They they fight over the police officers and they got they even uh burned out You see, you may want to >> Police the police car, yeah? There's a van. Yeah. And the the demonstrators, they even burned that down. They wanted to take over the place, but they just couldn't because police officers, they just arrived.
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, they were fighting. Everybody got >> And many people as well are getting arrested, yeah? Oh, they're getting arrested. Everybody who's passing around this street, they're being You see, they're being asked if they are carrying explosives or, you know, stuff like that. So, >> Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Pretty intense, hey, Alejandro? Very intense. Here, everybody got a scare because we we used to live this before, but we got like gas in our eyes. Even the gas went into our houses.
>> Really, yeah? They did.
>> No. Yeah. And we're like with our parents and our little nieces.
>> Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So, what do you think about the whole situation, Alejandro?
I think that that the Or do you disagree?
I don't agree. I mean, um our state governors, I mean, the president, vice president, ministers, they should be not anonymous. They should be very strict because like thousands of people cannot stop a country. Sure, sure.
That's the problem.
Just thousands of people cannot stop a country.
>> Yeah.
Alejandro, thanks so much, hey. You're welcome.
I'll see you tonight, okay? I'll see you tomorrow. done. yes, yes. Cool. Thanks so much.
All right, guys. So, let's keep on documenting the current situation.
I am just staying on that building. And well, we are having such a situation in front of us, you know. Like I said early, many people are being arrested, unfortunately.
And uh Look at that, guys, eh? This is insane.
I am I am telling you.
Well, I just want to show you the current situation. Apparently, here we do have a police station.
And uh many people have been arrested, eh?
So, look at that, guys.
That was like a police a police car.
Crazy, you know.
[ __ ] >> [snorts] >> Guys, I am staying in this building.
This is insane, eh?
[ __ ] Anyway, I would love to take you once again into the the downtown, you know, to see what's up.
[ __ ] This is definitely wild, eh?
Chico.
See.
>> [snorts] >> Look at that, guys, eh?
All the cars have been checked, eh?
Look at that, guys.
[ __ ] And maybe tomorrow it is going to get worse, eh?
Guys, no way.
Look at the state of La Paz, eh?
>> [snorts] >> I think this is El Tribunal de de Justicia.
>> [snorts] >> We got once again El Tribunal de de Justicia in front of us.
So.
What a situation, eh? But I think now for today it's it's over.
So, this is the state of downtown La Paz after the manifestation.
Look at that.
It look like a ghost town, you know?
>> [snorts] [clears throat] [snorts] >> But I think now everything is back to to normal.
Uh I believe, you know.
