Coalition governments are inherently fragile because they are built on alliances between different political factions with varying priorities, making them vulnerable to internal dissent; even a small number of dissenting members (such as 14 MPs in this case) can threaten the government's stability and credibility, as demonstrated by the Liberal MPs' letter warning about environmental policy rollbacks compromising the government's majority.

‘Why hide the names?’ CBC refuses to reveal Liberal MPs who called for return to Trudeau policiesAdded:
And this is a uh CBC again. 14 Liberal MPs sign a letter saying they're deeply concerned about Carney's environmental policies. And uh of course CBC, you know, like hid those names, right? Of course the CBC, right?
A total of 14 signed that letter to Carne warning. They were deeply concerned that the government's credibility will be seriously compromised.
The letter insisted that climate change remains the greatest threat of our time.
Did they not see the newest IPCC report?
Do they care? Do they not look at the rest of the world and what the rest of the world is doing? Canada must be must sacrifice its economy, must sacrifice its people. How many people need to suffer at the hands of this idealist ideology that uh nobody seems to believe in or or they no other country wants to put their people through. Yet Canada, the elites seem to want to still punish Canadians.
>> Yeah. I mean 14 that isn't a particularly large number, but obviously it's enough to kill his majority, isn't it? So that's enough to get his attention. And that just goes to show how flimsy this um you know coalition that he's built, this Frankenstein's coalition that he's put together. It just shows how fragile it is. It's not really that it's not really like this strong, powerful, stable government that we've been uh led to believe it is or certain people would like us to believe it is. It's exceedingly fragile. And these are just these are just um these are sort of like the Trudeau environmentalist types. So these are the old liberals. You've got to remember people like the the conservatives who who've crossed the floor as well. Like they they have a lot of strange people altogether in this basket and naturally they have very different um expectations.
I don't know how I don't like I said it ages ago. Don't know how this government survives a full term, but Connie keeps surprising me, so maybe he'll do it.
>> Why hide the names? Why hide the names?
Where's the courage? Karina Gold, I'm sure your name's on there somewhere. Why hide yourself?
>> Well, one of them would be Jonathan Wilkinson for like un undoubtedly.
He's um he's a mud hutter as John Hogan would say. But this is a major crack in the dam for companies for NB bridges, Senovus, TC Energy when they look at this and they say, "Okay, we're going to go we're going to put a billion dollar investment into Canada." We know that these like I mean there's there's the Liberal C the Liberal majority could fall apart just because of this. If they give another go-ahad and they remove something and that's the end of the project. This is all still there. This this regulator the regulators are still there pushing back against prosperity for Canadians. This is I mean if you were a betting m man on on poly markets would you put money on this pipeline going to the west coast here in the next five years? Would you say there'd be a completed pipeline in five years?
>> Exactly.
>> That's that's about all I can give you on that one.
Beer Pauly have come up with a statement too. He says, "I'm a strong Canadian federist, proud Albertan, proud Canadian." Of course, that's his message there, saying, "Believe Alberta deserves a fair deal." I mean, that that's what it comes down to. That's the push back, right? That's the push back. Albertans want prosperity, but it's not just for Alberta. A lot of that money flows into the other provinces through transfer payments, through all kinds of things and royalties. It is prosperity for Canada. And we have so many Canadians suffering. It just seems odd that the people of Canada are not put first.
>> By the way, talking about that, I just when you were um when you got that tweet out there from Chris Walkon and and he's saying CBC's covering up the identity for some I read this story this morning.
For some reason, that didn't register in my mind. But if you read if you go on the CBC's website, this is the what fourth paragraph. They say, "Despite signing their names at the bottom of the letter, which CBC has in their possession, the MPs do not want to be publicly identified.
Therefore, CBC has not identified them."
Sorry, but like is every day a new law?
What? It's it's almost like we thought the Mariana Trench was the lowest you could go and we just keep discovering new laws that journalists in Canada I mean should we can we call them journalists that these these people can go to >> propaganda >> uh when it comes to writing stories.
What is wrong with you? They didn't want to be identified. So we haven't identified them.
Who are you? Who do you back for? Is it the Canadian people or is it the Liberal Party? I mean, every single day they show that it's the Liberal Party.
I can't believe that. I can't believe that they would do that just because they don't want to be ID. Who cares what they want? Who cares what these MPs want?
Daniel Smith pitching though on uh you know, Alberta's future. And listen to her here. She's speaking in Calgary.
>> So, here's what's next for Alberta. I'll make a predict prediction. It's an even bigger energy industry. Our goal is to double oil and gas production in Alberta. When I became premier, we were close to 3.8 million barrels of oil per day. Today, we're close to 5 million barrels per day. We have a clear path to produce 8 million barrels per day by about 2035. Our goal is more from production to pipelines to exports along with more jobs and revenue and the growth that they create.
I mean, Alberta is Canada's golden goose and it continues to perform even though it's being choked and uh stepped on and and treated poorly. I mean, there's no denying that Alberta's been treated poorly for the past decade. I mean, Netzero Alliance, Gance, all of those things choked off the money supply for oil and gas. I mean, that's that's that those are obvious thing. Karina Gold with her tweet, lock landlock them. Stephen Gabau, you know, when it's it's it the evidence is there. It's I mean, there's a mountain of evidence showing that Albertans have have been suffering at the hands of this the Liberal government and their policies over the last decade. And what's really changed, I guess, is the question. What's really changed?
>> Well, the world the world has changed, but in Canada, what's changed for >> what's changed for Alberta?
>> They've been forced to acknowledge that there is indeed a world out there.
They've completely changed um the direction of travel there in the world, what they prioritize. So, we have to kind of look like we are too. But in terms Look, we're going to I assume we're going to talk about the Americans getting on at uh the Liberals and saying, "Show me the money." Like, "Show me the military equipment. You said you're spending money. Where's where is it? Where's the actual um spending on military equipment?" We can say the same thing for energy. We keep hearing, you know, we were told that we were going to become an energy superower. Carney now tells us we are one. That happened at some point in the last couple of weeks, I guess, or couple of months. But where is the evidence? We need the evidence rather than just words.
