BREAKING: Trump Gets WORST NEWS EVER!!

[00:00:00]All right, folks. So, Donald Trump just got some of the worst possible news that he could have gotten tonight, and it's the result on your screen. Now, this is actually something that Donald Trump wanted to happen for some reason, but in the end, it very well may backfire on him and his Republican colleagues. We're talking about Texas, a historically red state that could flip blue in November.

[00:00:21]Republican Ken Paxton has won the Republican primary runoff. He was running against John Cornin, who is the current Republican senator in that seat.

[00:00:29]Donald Trump decided to endorse Paxton who is a crook, a criminal and yet he has won the race because MAGA is a cult.

[00:00:36]They will just vote for whoever Donald Trump wants them to. And the race wasn't even close at all. I mean Paxton at this time only 78% of the votes have been counted, but they New York Times and many other outlets were able to call it because of how overwhelming it was.

[00:00:49]710,000 votes for Paxton, 400,000 for John Cornin. It wasn't close. It wasn't close. The entire state of Texas is covered in yellow which indicates votes for Cornin. Not a good result or excuse me results for Paxton I should say. Not a good result for John Cornin tonight but a good result overall for Democrats.

[00:01:07]Donald Trump is celebrating the win on social media right now saying Republican nominee for US senator from Texas. Ken Paxton wins. Endorsed by Trump. He is touting his endorsement and Cornin being a coward as always. Despite the loss, despite knowing that Ken Paxton is a crook, despite saying this on social media and saying it publicly before, John Cornin says he will still be supporting the Republican ticket in November.

[00:01:31]>> Tonight, we come we've come up short in this primary runoff.

[00:01:37]You know, a few years ago, I had a friend of mine say, "You know what makes God laugh?"

[00:01:45]He said, ' When we make plans, I've spent most of my time in the Senate building the Republican party in Texas and in the in the US Senate, and I've always supported the Republican ticket, and I intend to do so again in this general election.

[00:02:06]so cowardly, no spine whatsoever within the Republican party, despite everything we know about Ken Paxton, which we will be talking about in just a moment. And Ken Paxton likewise is celebrating the Trump endorsement, saying that it is the most powerful force in politics. So, he is 100 1,000% standing by Donald Trump.

[00:02:24]Ken Paxton is. John Cornin says he's going to vote for the Republican. So, pretty just cowardly stuff all over tonight. But, you know who's not a coward? the Democrat in the race, James Talerico, who had a statement immediately come out as soon as Ken Paxton was announced as the winner. And I think you should see it before we talk about why this is so disastrous for Donald Trump and the Republicans.

[00:02:45]>> Something just happened in Texas. The most corrupt politician in America just became the Republican nominee for the United States Senate. Three years ago, Ken Paxton was impeached by his own party for using his public office to enrich himself and his donors at the expense of the people. That kind of corruption is the rot at the core of this broken system. It's why we can't afford anything. It's why we can't get ahead no matter how hard we work. For 50 years, mega donors and their puppet politicians like Ken Paxton have stolen from us with their bribes, their bailouts, and their billionaire tax breaks. Ken Paxton has gotten away with it. They've all gotten away with it. But that ends this year in this state, in this race. If we the people can come together to defeat the most corrupt politician in America, we can defeat this entire corrupt system, we can start unrigging this economy. We can start raising our pay, cutting our taxes, lowering our costs. We can finally get ahead. It's time to come together. The people versus Ken Paxton.

[00:04:04]>> Oh, I love that. I love that. We got to put that logo everywhere. You're seeing why this was such a disaster for Donald Trump and the Republicans. Cornin has won time and time again in the state of Texas. He's the reliable candidate. He actually polls better against James Telerico, who we just heard from, than Ken Paxton does. And yet, Donald Trump decided, uh, not going to do that. Let's go with Paxton anyway. And so, not only does, you know, Paxton not pull very well, not only is James Tarico a fantastic candidate, but Paxton is scandalridden. You heard just a couple of things there from Ter Rico that Paxton has done in the past, but it really does give the Democrats the best chance in years to flip Texas and that seat blue. Let's talk about a few things. Number one, Cornin has been in the Senate for 24 years and has raised 400 million plus for Senate Republicans.

[00:04:55]He was GOP whipped during his first two years of the Trump admin. He came just a few votes short of becoming Senate Majority Leader 18 months ago. His loss to Paxton tonight and by such a wide margin is another reflection of the widening gulf between Trump's grip on the Republican base and his waning influence with Senate Republicans in Washington. So, not only is Pence is Ken Paxton a crook, but Cornin has actually done a lot to build the Republican party, raising money for them, building the infrastructure in Texas and across the nation. Donald Trump and the Republicans just lost that tonight. That is a huge win for Democrats in and of itself.

[00:05:30]John Cornin also acknowledging in an interview earlier today that uh Democrats are going to be successful in fighting back again against against P Ken Paxton. This is a Republican through and through has been a Republican for his entire career and even he is saying Ken Paxton's a weak candidate.

[00:05:46]>> Ken Paxton's flaws and the baggage she brings to the general election is going to be exploited to the fullest by James Terico and by Democrats. Uh James Telerico raised $27 million in just the first quarter of this year.

[00:06:02]>> Even John Corin seems a little bit nervous. And here is just some of the scandals. Corin Paxton was impeached by his own party for corruption, paid $300,000 to settle his felony fraud charges, had multiple extrammarital affairs, contested the 2020 election, was sued for firing whistleblowers, is under investigation for mortgage fraud, currently stole a $1,000 pen from another lawyer. Among the many other scandals, including this, this is from team Terico. This is Ken Paxton's mugsh shot. He was indicted on three three felony counts for investment fraud. He was reported to the FBI by his own staff for bribery. He was impeached by his own party for corruption. Now he's the Republican nominee for the US Senate in Texas. Together, we will stop him. And there is Mr. Ken Paxton himself. A crook, a corrupt politician, the worst kind of politician you can imagine. He's not just a Republican. He's not just somebody we disagree with fundamentally.

[00:06:55]He is a crook. He is a criminal. He is a thief. He's a He's a bad guy who also happens to support Donald Trump and every single word he says, of course.

[00:07:04]Um, also this one, as attorney general, Ken Paxton got a businessman under FBI investigation to make him a fake Uber account named David P or Dave P so that Paxton could regularly sneak to his mistress's apartment. Proudly standing behind him won't look good in the history books. And that's in response to Greg Abbott. And finally, there was a man in Texas who assaulted his son's best friend for three years.

[00:07:28]First-degree felony, life without parole. Ken Paxton's office gutted it to 60 days. He walked free after 30. No uh offender registration. His record scrubbed clean. Texas protects predators with power. That's what Ken Paxton has done. That's who he is. So, when we're thinking about November, when we are thinking about this matchup between James Terico and Ken Paxton, this is the best result that Democrats could have gotten in this race. Now, I will say this is high risk, high reward. The reward being a Democrat in the seat. The risk being that Ken Paxton is crazier than John Cornin. He is much crazier. He is much more loyal to Donald Trump and willing to do the bidding of Donald Trump no matter what. And Texas is a red state. So, it is a high risk in a red state to run somebody as dangerous as this. But I believe in James Terico. I think he would be an amazing US senator.

[00:08:19]He has displayed himself as an amazing man. And I just hope and wish that come November, he is Texas's next senator.
