[00:00:01]Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by for this and film I just watched. Um first one in this Colombian Noir number two, um and it's called Framed as it says there, so it's Framed starring the legend Glenn Ford with Janis Carter and Barry Sullivan among others.

[00:00:30]Very great, okay. Um so I'll give you some more details about what this film's all about.

[00:00:36]There's all the limited edition.

[00:00:38]As for limited edition stuff. And it also stars it starts stars Edgar Buchanan and quite a big role in this as well.

[00:00:49]Okay. And so this is from 1947 and it runs for 81 minutes.

[00:00:55]Um aspect ratio 1.37 to 1, so you get the black bars at either side like 4 by 3.

[00:01:02]Um that's about it really. Um Okay, so So Glenn Ford and and Barry Sullivan and star in this atmospheric film noir tale of uh deceit and treachery in a mining town.

[00:01:19]Down on his luck sugar Mike Lambert um falls for small town femme fatale Paula played by Janis Carter and soon finds himself in the middle of a criminal underworld that involves fix-ups, double-crosses and murder. Ooh.

[00:01:34]Okay, um so this film was written by Ben Maddow. He also did Murder by Contract and photographed by the great Burnett Guffey. Decision at Sundown and Framed is a highly stylish and effective noir.

[00:01:50]You can't really tell which way this is going to go, I have to say yeah.

[00:01:54]I didn't know what was going to happen, but uh really brilliant. Um so you got some special features on this.

[00:02:00]And you can watch it with all the old commentary with author and critic Imogen Sara Smith.

[00:02:07]I didn't do that. Um then you there's a little feature you can watch called Steps of Age which runs for 25 minutes.

[00:02:14]A dramatized documentary written and directed by Ben Maddow.

[00:02:18]Um demonstrating the challenge of growing old as seen through the eyes of a retired window.

[00:02:23]Window, a retired window. Um I watched that but it was ooh I didn't like it that much. Then there was like um Three Stooges short called Open Daisy's Penthouse. I don't know why it was on this, but uh that was from 1958. I didn't really like it. So I don't I'm not a big fan of the Three Stooges to be honest. Other what you've got image gallery and there's new and improved English subtitles, but I didn't watch it with subtitles cuz I was taking lots of photographs.

[00:02:53]Okay, that's this. Um I think that's all I can say about it, but I did really enjoy it though.

[00:02:58]Anything with Glenn Ford you've got to watch it really. Um so I've taken lots of pictures and they're going to follow on now.
