Ukraine's State Border Guard Service reports that Belarus remains a significant security threat, with Russia actively working to draw Belarus into the ongoing war by establishing a southern operational command, developing logistical routes, and conducting joint military exercises. While no large-scale military buildup is currently observed near the border, intelligence services continuously monitor the situation using unmanned aerial vehicles and other surveillance technologies. Russia's limited offensive operations along the northern border, including attempts to create a 'gray zone' extending up to 20 km into Ukrainian territory, have been repelled by Ukrainian defense forces, who continue to inflict heavy losses on enemy personnel while maintaining border security.

SHOCK! What’s Happening on Belarus Border RIGHT NOW?Added:
In total, there were 137 combat engagements on the frontline on Tuesday.
The highest number of battles, 31, was recorded by the General Staff in the Pokrovsk direction. There were 18 attacks each in the Kostyantynivka sector in Donetsk region and the Huliaipole sector in Zaporizhzhia region. Ukrainian soldiers repelled seven assaults in the Sloviansk direction. The occupiers made five attempts to advance in the Lyman sector.
The Russians stormed our units' positions six times in the Southern Bug direction.
Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, is joining our broadcast. Mr. Demchenko, good morning.
Greetings.
Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been speaking about the increased threat from the territory of Belarus and in particular emphasizes that the world must not allow Belarus to be drawn into this war. Tell me, please, based on what Ukrainian border guards are currently observing from the Belarusian side, does it cause any concern?
Well, of course, this direction remains threatening and uh the president also emphasizes this because we see that uh Russia clearly wants to draw Belarus into the war it has unleashed against our country and on a much larger scale.
Apparently, Belarus is resisting this, but nevertheless, Belarus itself continues to support the terrorist country, including by providing its territory and also by playing a role in the information sphere.
Well, earlier we should recall that Belarus had announced the creation of a southern operational command in the direction of the border with Ukraine.
And now there is an increase in um well, the development of logistical routes for this uh command or the establishment of training grounds there. Therefore, the risk from the territory of Belarus is always present for us.
At this current moment in time, for example, Russia does not yet have a large enough or strategically sufficient concentration of its military units stationed on the territory of Belarus.
However, this situation could shift rapidly at any given moment, especially since Belarus is fully prepared to provide its own logistical support and specific geographic locations on its territory to deploy these forces effectively.
And that's why it's important, of course, to understand that at any moment, I'll emphasize again, Russia can transfer any additional forces to the territory of Belarus. At the same time, directly near our border, as of now, we are fortunately not observing any movement of equipment or personnel. But, of course, we must be prepared for any possible developments. The task of intelligence services is to monitor how the situation is developing deeper within the territory of Belarus.
And, of course, we continue to monitor our borderline using technical surveillance means, including unmanned aerial vehicles, in order to understand what is happening in the immediate vicinity of our border. If the Belarusian government, or more precisely, we understand that there is only one person in Belarus who can make a decision to somehow assist the Russian Federation, as already happened in 2022, or to involve the Belarusian army in the war against Ukraine, then what matters is not only the political will and the decision itself, but also the existence of infrastructure that would allow for a rapid deployment along the sections of the Ukrainian border from the Belarusian side, should it become necessary. Tell me, please, as of today, is there any reason to say that Belarus is developing exactly this kind of infrastructure near our border, which, if necessary, would allow for the rapid deployment of troops and the conduct of offensive operations?
Well, it's clear that Belarus won't be able to quickly and covertly deploy any forces because, again, the intelligence units of the Ministry of Defense and the State Border Guard Service are monitoring how the Belarusian army units are operating overall and whether Russia is transferring any additional forces to the territory of Belarus.
But, again, those exercises, that training, which Belarus constantly conducts on its territory with regard to its army, and often, as we see, joint exercises with the Russians, of course, this poses a risk for us.
Uh but, I'll say once again that a rapid well, such a covert deployment of forces on the territory of Belarus will not go unnoticed.
We see that the Russian Federation is conducting offensive operations along the northern Ukrainian border, which for now are rather limited in scope, but nevertheless, the gray zone on the Ukrainian side is expanding. Please tell us, as of today, how are the Russians organizing these offensive actions? And in your opinion, what is their objective at this stage? Is it a broader, perhaps, offensive or are these still such limited operations that stretch the Ukrainian defense and in particular exhaust the units of the State Border Guard Service, since they have to simultaneously defend the border, monitor the situation, search for saboteurs, and so on?
Well, at one time Russia mentioned the creation of a so-called gray zone, a buffer zone. They called it different things and said it would extend up to 20 km deep into the territory of our country.
But, during all this time, fortunately, the enemy has not been able to significantly expand its zone of control. Of course, such tasks are constantly assigned to the units of the Russian army, sorry, not Belarus, but Russia, that are operating in this direction and attacking our positions.
However, despite suffering heavy losses, the enemy cannot achieve any significant results in relation to these claims.
The enemy's actions are carried out mainly by infantry groups, which attack the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
But, being unable to advance, the enemy, of course, resorts to using more powerful weaponry. This includes artillery and aviation, which drops guided aerial bombs, KABs. There is also a large number of drones used to destroy the positions held by Ukrainian defenders.
A significant number of residential settlements situated right along the borderline are also being systematically targeted and bombarded by the enemy, who is persistently trying to seize full control of them and thereby expand its overall zone of control.
And well, yes, the enemy is probably most active within the Krasnopillia community, as well as the Khotyn and Yunakivka communities, where they began offensive actions earlier, but even within the Khotyn and Yunakivka communities, the enemy has not been able to significantly expand their zone of control. They are, of course, also trying to exert pressure in the direction of Myropillia.
They are making their presence felt within the Shostka district, which is in the north of the Sumy region.
At the same time, I want to emphasize once again that the enemy is unable to achieve the results they talked about regarding the creation of a buffer zone.
Meanwhile, dedicated units of the Ukrainian defense forces, including the brave border guards, are continuously inflicting heavy losses on the enemy's personnel.
And these losses are truly significant, both in terms of those killed and those who have been seriously wounded in action.
And in fact, we are also capturing uh servicemen of the Russian Federation who are on our territory.
Thank you for the information. Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, was with us live via video link.
