[00:00:00]Uh, we will start with overview of Inland Vessel Act.

[00:00:03]Why this act was required?

[00:00:05]Actually, the earlier act 1917 Act uh, was a act in which states were empowered to frame their rules. And that's led to lot of complications in flying of Inland Vessels because every state were forming framing their own rules. And when a vessel uh, suppose a vessel is moving on National Waterway One, it is moving through three four states. So, there was lot of compliance differences and uh, uh, the vessels uh, uh, was not able to comply with those requirements of different states. So, we need one act in which all the compliances were standardized. And so, this Inland Vessel Act has uh, been envisaged. And after lot of stakeholders consultation uh, including state governments uh, industry and all uh, this act was implemented uh, in uh, August 2021.

[00:01:05]Means this act was passed in August 2021. And then it was later on implemented in 2022.
