White, MAGA Racists are Laughing While Taking Your Vote Away

[00:00:00]Like I'm angry about the state of this country right now and and I'm angry for the people who are in their 70s and 80s who thought that we wouldn't have to be here again.

[00:00:10]And I'm angry that there's tears being shed by our elders who feel just so heartbroken and disappointed and just frustrated that we're here again. Ready.

[00:00:28]This is not the time to be afraid. This is the time to stand up and fight back and to resist any temptation for them to divide us. We're in this together. The rule OF LAW IS ON OUR SIDE. WE WILL NOT GIVE IN, not give up. We will NOT CAPITULATE. WE WILL NOT BOW. WE WILL NOT BEND. We will survive.

I've been studying. I've been out in nature a lot, Rod. And so the squirrels, I have a one squirrel who's confused by where he put his acorns >> and like I feel but I feel like squirrels they they go everywhere with their with their seeds. They just Yes.

Like, so it's going to always be good wherever it go cuz it's always going to be something to eat cuz it's just put planting seeds everywhere.

I'm watching what's going on in Tennessee. I was listening to Urban View Mornings this morning. Dr. the gray car broke that thing down like no other.

[00:02:43]I mean, he even broke down Stacy Abrams and why, you know, what she was saying was quite Yeah. I was like, the man teaches law at Howard in addition to Africana studies. So, I was like, oo, this is incredible. And I want to be super super like I'm angry about the state of this country right now. And and I'm angry for the people who are in their 70s and 80s who thought that we wouldn't have to be here again.

[00:03:08]And I'm angry that there's tears being shed by our elders who feel just so heartbroken and disappointed and just frustrated that we're here again. And I feel all of that for them. And I want to just oo, you know, I want to get my invincible on, Rodri. I want to get my invincible on. But it's it's um ooh I I at the same time I also see the the possibilities in this because when you have um open races laughing about taking away voting rights I mean they were laughing giggling you know basically fist bumping and chest bumping in in Tennessee and uh you know as brother man's burning a paper confederate flag and the other ones cussing out the people and they're out there you know marching and protesting. and they already did the thing and then they're laughing at us, you know, and so there's a level of like, you know, we we've talked often about the the schoolyard >> and that bully, you know, and you like, oh, one day I'm going to give you an atomic wedgie >> and I hope you ain't wiped good. I hope you ain't wiped good. It's going to be it's going to be amazing, but it's coming. So, I'm looking forward to the atomic wedgie, but in the meantime, you know, we got to manage our emotions at this point.

[00:04:25]>> Yeah, it's definitely a anger inducing seeing all this stuff. And, you know, part of it is because you did know it would come to pass because we did say like the people that's listening to this, they all people that knew. So, there's a there's like a like you would in some ways it's sobering because it's like I expected this, but in other ways it's more it makes you more upset because it didn't have to be like this.

[00:04:48]And the path back isn't necessarily going to be clear, but the the resistance and the will to fight is there, but and it's propping up. It's cropping up in many new people every day. Like the oh, now I'm ready to fight. It's just some of us have stayed ready. Like we didn't had to get ready, we stayed ready. So, it's just there's there's resentment um even amongst the the allied type of crew cuz it's like, man, like we should never drop our guard and black people are always on the front lines um until we're behind enemy lines when it comes to these type of environments is, you know, we're we're the canary in the coal mine. We're the first the first one they going to target cuz that's the easy vote to target. Oh, black people, let's disempower them. We know where they want to vote. They don't want to support us. But then you start but we'll never be the last. We'll be the first, but we'll never be the last group that they come after. And I I just think it it's I'm just tired of being right about it, you know.

[00:05:50]>> Yeah. Yeah. All all of that, you know, and and that's the other thing. You don't know who to shake first because because to your point, we we did not have to be here at all. We did not have to be here at all. Um, and I like the framing because I'm I'm moving away from black white, even though I'm gonna continue to talk about race because it's a madeup construct. And if y'all want to continue to hold on to your whiteness, I'm going to continue to talk about it and tell you what what you look like.

[00:06:17]But it's going to be good and evil. You know, at this point, we we move beyond >> we move beyond race. Race is a is an avatar. Right now, if you are holding on to whiteness, you're an evil person. It is it is at your core.

[00:06:29]>> And we the thing is we we already have we have already been there. We've always been there. It's good and evil has always been what it is. It's it's just take on different forms and different, you know, people try to manipulate it different ways so you forget what side is what. But there's just some things right and wrong.

[00:06:47]>> And there's a lot of wrong going on right now.

[00:06:50]>> And anybody that wants to fight back on the side of right, come come through.

[00:06:54]Like that's it should always be that way. I hope people just I think what bothers me is it feel like at least in my lifetime people forget the lessons like they'll do this at times you know pat everybody pat themselves on the back like we did it and then it's like you know the next day some folks go back to wanting to be whatever comfortable or unbothered and it's like that part is is the part that pains me cuz it's like if you just always keep pushing you don't have to go back period.
