Retail traders hear that, oil dumps, and the Strait of Hormuz reopening in trade absolutely pops. But, Trump doesn't control the strait, Iran does, and Tehran isn't reopening it for free. They are setting up a Hormuz safe toll, they're setting up an insurance scheme backed by Bitcoin, they are making long-term plans to keep the strait closed and to allow Chinese ships through. A social media post can pump sentiment, but it can't move a 100,000 ton tanker through a naval blockade. The market's buying vibes, and we are trading the fine print. Trump may chicken out, but Iran doesn't have to.
