[00:00:07][music] Hello everyone. Welcome back to a new clean with me video. If you are new to my channel, hi. My name is Courtney. My channel consists of cleaning and decorating videos. So, if that is something you enjoy watching, then hit that subscribe button. Today, I will be tackling the primary bathroom, living room, kitchen, and the basement. I will be starting off in the bathroom for this video because I have been needing to clean the shower. I've been putting it off. Last time I deep cleaned my bathroom. I skipped it, but this day I wanted to go ahead deep clean it. And I needed to unclog the drain because it has been holding water instead of draining when we take showers. After I remove everything from the shower, I put on this scrub brush attachments made for drills and use that with some of the Pink Stuff cleaner to scrub the towel floor walls and in any of the crevices and cracks where grime can tend to build up. I did buy a pack of I think it came with nine or maybe even 10 of the scrub brush attachments. They came off of Amazon. You just attach it onto the drill and they are really affordable.

[00:02:18][music] >> When I was taking the dream cover off, I don't know what I was expecting, but I don't think I was expecting it to be this bad and this nasty. I definitely wish and should have just put on gloves beforehand because it was so gross. This completely explains why the drain was draining so slow. It's because all this hair and gunk buildup. After getting the drain all cleaned and everything put back, I will move on to cleaning the glass of the shower with Sprayway glass cleaner. Before, I think I was butchering this name and saying Spraya Away glass cleaner. I used to get the kind of glass cleaner that doesn't foam by the Windex brand, but I think I've tried this one time and I really liked how it foamed up. It doesn't run down the glass super fast, so you don't have to rush whenever you're cleaning the glass.

I just wanted to do a quick reset from the morning of when I was getting ready for the day, get it wiped down, put a few things away, and put out some fresh towels.

[00:07:05]The bathroom and shower is really clean now. And for the living room, it's never really messy. We tend to keep it pretty clean and free of clutter. We just had a few things that needed to be put away like the carpet cleaner, ice chest, a tripod, and I also wanted to fold and put away all of the throw blankets that we use in here. Within the next few days or week, I will be starting a decluttering series of videos. I wanted to go through the primary closet, bathroom, clothes, kitchen, pantry, storage closets just throughout the house, the garage, and almost every room in the whole house really. We have a lot of stuff that needs to be donated, throw away, be organized, or just find a place for it because some things are still packed away, some things we can't find.

[00:09:30]I feel I feel I feel I feel I feel I feel [music] I feel moving into the kitchen. I will say this is one of the main areas that can get the messiest between dishes piling up and the counters being a catch-all type of spot for random things or devices.

[00:10:09]Even in the cabinets, drawers, and in the pantry, it is just disorganized. So, the kitchen will be one of the first areas that I declutter and organize.

[00:10:20]And you probably seen, but removing that top to the cup made my nail pop off. But anyways, after I remove some of the clutter and trash from the counters, I will unload and load the dishes, hand wash whatever I can't get into the dishwasher, and then clean off the counters with some cleaner.

[00:11:48]>> [music] [singing] >> Most days I only have to do the dishes once a day. But on the weekends when my kids are at home, then that is when I have to do them maybe at least twice daily. Now that we are moving into summer, the sink will start to pile up a lot more. And speaking of summer, this coming week is my kids last week of school and it is a half week. So after Wednesday, they start summer break and won't go back until mid August, I believe. We hope to take a trip to the beach. We love to go to Florida beaches, so maybe we will plan a trip there. What are y'all's plans this summer? I would also love to make a family bucket list of activities that my family would love to do this summer and then check those off as we do them or get to them. That would be really fun as well. Few days ago, we were at Hobby Lobby getting a few things for the house. And I couldn't believe they were already stocking up on fall decor. I was thinking, "This is so early. We aren't even officially into summer yet." But it is great for people that like to plan months in advance. I typically like to rush through summer and can't wait for fall, but this year I want it to go as slow as possible. I want to do all the summer activities that we can and enjoy it to the fullest.

[00:17:06]this particular day. It is not the true Dawn power wash that you buy already in the bottle. When I use up all of the power wash solution, then I like to reuse the empty empty bottle by filling it up with Dawn soap and water to make my own. It doesn't spray the same as whatever they use in Dawn Power Wash, but it still is a good way to reuse the bottle. Some days I use this and some days I will use the Mrs. Myers multi-purpose cleaner. They both work pretty well.

[00:19:44]>> [music] >> This is our basement. It is where the kids keep some of their toys and their kip bar. We also have put together a small home gym. My husband goes to an actual public gym with the more professional heavyweight equipment, but I just don't do public gyms. So, we are slowly building up one in the basement for myself. These boxes were from the gym equipment and they were making hideouts or my kids were making cutouts for Nerf Wars. I will be moving the boxes into the garage and get everything else picked up before I vacuum. My kids used to have a lot more things in our previous house that had a basement as well. And the basement is over there is where they kept their toys. But when we moved out of that place and over the past year we have downsized quite a bit of the amount of toys they have. It is much more doable when they are cleaning up.

I was going to leave them out to go through, but just decided to go ahead and put them away until my decluttering video for that. I also needed to put the kit bar back and tidy up the gym.
