When political figures establish slush funds to pay convicted criminals for their services, it creates a dangerous incentive structure that rewards violent behavior and encourages future criminal activity, effectively functioning as a retainer fee for a private militia that may not peacefully transition power.

Trump's 'Slush Fund' is a Retainer for His Mob | Mike Fanone & Harry DunnAjouté :
Right, man. And if you think that there are deranged people out there that would do do that type of thing or think that way, then you're a [ __ ] idiot.
>> I'll tell you Jim, you know, specifically speaking, the the moment this slush fund was publicly announced, there were people that jumped in my DMs and my comments in my social media feed saying specifically, "Oh, this is great. Now I can kill Mike Flynn and Donald Trump's going to pay me to do it."
Mhm. "I can kill one of Mike Flynn's family members and Donald Trump is going to pay me to do it." But that's what this is. I mean, look at some of the people he's pardoned have been, you know, arrested and charged with, you know, uh molesting kids and all kinds of violent stuff. He, you know, and now he's going to give them money. They can go line up for like an ATM machine for cash.
>> fund is rewarding them, which is in turn incentivizing them to say, "Oh, well, I can do this and get paid for it. Sign me up."
And it doesn't It doesn't even It doesn't even matter if any of these guys ever receive one red cent from this fund.
It's the enticement and the the idea that maybe this could happen that will either fuel one of them to reoffend or fuel somebody in the future to say, "Hey, I could do this and I'll get pardoned and get cash." This is right, man. And if you think that there aren't deranged people out there that would do do that type of thing or think that way, then you're a [ __ ] idiot.
>> And we know that the the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers, they don't have real jobs by and large. They don't, you know, they don't have Nobody's paying them to do anything. And so this is like Donald Trump paying them to be kind of like his storm troopers to stand back and stand by. I mean, that's the thing Harry that that I think is actually pretty menacing about this. This is dangerous. This is a retainer fee for, you know, Donald Trump's private militia and private mob. Just like, you know, we have to pay lawyers retainer fees for, you know, stand back stand back and stand by to lawyers. He's He's actually saying it to the people who are will commit violence in his name because that Donald Trump damn sure ain't going to go away quietly or on in 2029. He's not going to go away quietly. And somebody asked why why how do you why do you say that? He doesn't have a good track record of going peacefully out of office anyway. He's the only person He's the only person that you know, did not have a peaceful transition of power from administration to administration.
So, this is a retainer for his mob.
