In democratic systems, when voters make a clear decision through the electoral process, courts should respect that collective will rather than overturning it, even when legal arguments are presented against the voters' choice.

Virginia voters had their say追加:
Well, the reason that in Virginia we wanted to give voters the opportunity to consider this temporary emergency redistricting is in response to what Donald Trump ordered Republican states like Texas and Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Missouri to do to rig their maps in advance of the midterm elections. Voters chose to do that by a margin larger than Glenn Yncan was elected governor. With respect to the court case, I think it would be shocking, absolutely shocking, for the Virginia Supreme Court to overturn the will of the voters. The voters had their voice. They heard the arguments, including the legal arguments. Governor Yncan was out there and my Republican colleague saying, "It's unconstitutional. It's illegal." Voters rejected those arguments. For the court to interject itself and replace the voter's judgment with its own would be shocking.
