[00:00:00]One case in point that we might talk about is the uh essentially the disintegration under Gorbachoff and Perisroka and Glasnos and other things of the Soviet Union and the Soviet Empire and its resurgence in less than a generation.

[00:00:18]um if you want to call what today's Russia is a resurgence and I would but it's very very extraordinary for a country to maintain even rudiments of its previous self or an empire uh once it collapses or really begins to to diminish its own power either through its own mistakes normally the way it goes or through others ganging up lying against that sometimes both things happen simultaneously. I don't see the United I don't see the United States uh regaining the power that it had say in 1950 or 1960. I just don't see it. The world won't take it.
