Protests against Ebola facility spread to Nairobi

[00:00:00]Street protests against the proposed Ebola quarantine facility in Laikipia airbase extended to Nairobi where members of the Amka Changamka Youth Initiative took to the streets to voice their opposition. The protesters gathered outside Afya House before marching to the Milimani Law Courts where they called for the immediate suspension of all activities related to the proposed facility. They stressed the need for public participation and transparency in the implementation of public health projects.

[00:01:05]After all, State House is a is a fortified facility. It's a protected area that has round-the-clock medical doctors under his beck and call. And we are also saying if William Ruto does not have options, then he should receive the money and go build this facility in Congo. After all, why would you outsource a disease from the point of origin to countries that do not have that disease?
