Madam, Mr. President Putin, it is a genuine honor to be addressing you today, my very old and cherished friend.
I would like to extend a warm welcome to you upon your arrival in China for this state visit. For many years, we have maintained very close and highly productive ties between our nations.
Uh together, we are defining the vectors for the in-depth and fruitful development of Sino-Russian relations, our comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation in this new era.
Our centuries-old friendship and good neighborly ties have taken even deeper root in the hearts of our peoples.
The ongoing endeavor of constructing an entirely new paradigm of interstate relations, which is firmly rooted in the core principles of mutual respect, absolute justice, and deeply mutually beneficial cooperation, is consistently providing a much-needed sense of stability and long-term predictability to our increasingly chaotic and uncertain world today. Uh this year, we are truly proud to be observing the significant milestone of the 30th anniversary since the formal establishment of our comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation, while we are also simultaneously celebrating the 25th anniversary commemorating the official signing of the historic treaty on good neighborliness, friendship, and cooperation.
The diplomatic relationship between China and Russia has reached its current high level through a very gradual and deliberate process.
Um all of this has been successfully achieved thanks to our deeply ingrained and unwavering collective will. As we deepen our political mutual trust and strategic interaction, proactively expand our multifaceted cooperation across sectors, and show immense courage in upholding the core principles we share um share share and defend.
The noble cause of international justice and equity, aiming to build a global community that embraces a shared future for all, despite the persistent, complex instability defining today's world.
Amidst today's duplicate global landscape, we see rising fragmentation, unilateralism, and blatant hegemony.
Yet, the pursuit of lasting peace, development, and cooperation remains the shared aspiration of all and the undeniable trend of our times.
As permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and major global powers, both China and Russia are obligated to, while maintaining a clear focus on their long-term strategic interests, achieve national rejuvenation by promoting a higher quality of comprehensive strategic that first cooperate is to show strong turn and working together to build a global governance system that is more just and reasonable for all nations.
Thank you so very much indeed.
Mr. President, it is a pleasure to welcome you here today, Mr. Xi Jinping, my very dear and esteemed friend.
It would be um would be appropriate to use a Chinese proverb. As far as we know, in China they say, "A day apart feels like three autumns." We are truly very glad to see you. We are constantly synchronizing our watches.
Both personally and through our aids, through the government, I warmly recall how last year we had the opportunity to participate together in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Second World War.
25 years ago, a treaty of good neighborliness, friendship, and cooperation was signed between our countries, a fundamental interstate document that serves as the foundation for developing cooperation in all areas and remains fully relevant today.
At this present moment, our relations have reached an unprecedented and historic level, serving as a shining model of a truly comprehensive partnership and a solid framework of strategic cooperation.
It is certainly no mere coincidence that our delegation includes a significant portion of the Russian government, prominent business leaders, as well as representatives from various public and educational organizations. Now, as we have previously agreed with the chairman, we shall begin our work by discussing the key issues of our bilateral cooperation, primarily focusing on the economic sphere and related matters.
We will then proceed to continue the negotiations with the delegations, exactly as the chairman has just proposed. Even against the backdrop of these unfavorable external factors, our interaction and economic cooperation continue to show strong positive momentum.
Trade turnover has grown has grown more than 30-fold over the past quarter century. For several years now, it has consistently exceeded the $200 billion mark. The driving force behind this economic cooperation is the Russia-China partnership in the energy sector.
Amid the growing and deeply complex crisis currently unfolding in the Middle East, Russia continues to maintain its vital role as a reliable supplier of resources, while China remains a responsible and steady consumer of them.
Among our shared strategic priorities, our major joint initiatives in industry, agriculture, transport, and of course, the rapidly evolving field of high technology.
Our humanitarian ties are also developing in a just as active, robust, and dynamic manner as our other relations. Following the highly successful years we have dedicated to culture, we are now moving forward to the years of cooperation in education.
This marks the 10th cross-state thematic project that we are very proud to be launching together here today.
An additional incentive for expanding humanitarian ties has been the introduction, at your initiative, my dear friend, of a reciprocal visa-free regime for the citizens of our countries, and we will certainly continue this practice.
Uh Our cooperation in foreign policy is one of the key stabilizing factors on the international stage. A complex process of forming a polycentric world is underway based on a balance of interest for all its participants. Together with our Chinese friends, we uphold cultural and civilizational diversity and respect for the sovereign development of nations.
We remain deeply committed to the ongoing task of building a more just and truly democratic world order. Given the current highly tense situation unfolding on the international stage, our close and sustained cooperation is now more particularly vital than ever before.
We are actively strengthening our coordination within the United Nations, BRICS, the G20, and various other international platforms. We will continue our highly active and constructive engagement with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. I am fully confident that we will fittingly celebrate the the SEO's SEO's 40th 25th anniversary this year. A prime example of fair issue resolution and deep integration across our vast shared region.
We fully support the work of the Chinese chairmanship of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum this year.
For my part, I would like to confirm my readiness to attend the summit of this format in Shenzhen this November. And of course, we invite you, my dear friend, to visit the Russian Russian Feder- Federally Federation next year.
I would like to thank you.
Here we are.
