O'Reilly delivers a sharp synthesis of fiscal realism and historical precedent, exposing the deep disconnect between elite military strategy and the economic welfare of the public. It is a sobering reminder that the true cost of war is measured as much in national debt as it is in strategic influence.

The Hefty Price Tag of the Iran War, Pope Leo vs Former Popes' Political Stances | No Spin NewsAdded:
Hey, Bill O'Reilly here. Welcome to the No Spin News tonight from South Florida.
It's Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
Stand up for your country. got a lot to tell you about, but it's Iran centric.
I've been looking around for another story or two that rises to the level of uh of this one and they don't exist. The closest is the economy which is uh obviously uh being influenced by Iran and what happens over there because people are paying more for essentials of life and it's impossible to predict whether that anger and people are not happy about paying more will translate into a victory for the Democrats who are blaming President Trump for the Iran thing on and on. You all know what the situation is. And that'll be a very interesting analysis of the vote that's coming up in in November. The American people understand, those who pay attention, 50%.
Why we're doing what we're doing in Iran, but they don't like it.
Now if there's victory that could change. Talking points is on all of this. Uh tonight let's begin with the direct effect on we the people. You know about the gas and food. Uh you know about insurance. You know about all uh the burdens of life. What you don't know is that the attack on Iran may cost we the people, the American taxpayer, $1 trillion.
It's a lot of jack. And that would elevate our debt to 40 trillion and blow out inflation and and you know all uh consequences that have to deal with the economy. one trillion dollars.
This analysis comes from Harvard, the Kennedy School. Um I don't think it's outlandish.
Uh in the first six days about 12 billion was spent trying to neutralize the mullus. I mean these things are very expensive. All right. The missiles and all the deployment of the troops and and all that. Um, meanwhile, we're picking up the whole tab.
Israel does what it can, but Israel don't have any money. They're broke.
Okay? They got enough to do protecting their borders from Hamas and Hezbollah.
So, we for the whole world, the United States taxpayer is funding our protection against the mad mullers of Tran.
Something really wrong with that. But we can't force these people and that's a situation that we're in that the United States is likely to win this and then the Europeans will benefit and the South Asians will benefit and then we're left with the uh with the tab.
Okay. Um, so when we're analyzing this, should money be a factor?
I don't I don't know what the alternative is. So if you let the Mullers have a nuclear weapon, and again, there are people who don't believe that they are going to develop a nuclear weapon, but that's based on nothing.
That belief is not based on any fact at all. People want to believe it, they believe it. There's no proof. They don't see Sencom reports or CIA reports or Assad reports.
I believe what I want to believe. Okay.
So, we are in a situation where we're getting hosed.
And I think I'm trying to analyze this in a historical way. I've never seen it this bad where the whole world says we're not going to help. Even though we know the danger involved, we're helping.
We're not going to give you anything.
Now, can Trump get some of that money back down the road? Maybe, but a smidgen.
Okay. Ipsos poll uh just conduct just conducted 1,9 adults. Uh, this is not a good poll, but I'll throw it out there.
It's the latest we have. First question, overall, do you approve or disapprove of US military strikes against Iran?
Approved 35%, disapprove 60%.
Okay, so why do you disapprove? That's the question. Why?
You know they're bad. You got to know that Iran's bad, right?
The overwhelming evidence is they have uranium and they could enrich it into a nuclear weapon. So why are you opposed?
I guess the answer would be well we we shouldn't do it alone or we need consensus. I guess that would be the answer but not going to get done unless we do it. Second question, the long run.
You think the US military action in Iran will improve security of the USA 26%.
Make the security of the USA worse, 41%.
And not have much of an impact either way, 29.
It's another question where you're basing your opinion on what?
Um, worse. How could it be worse if they're developing a nuclear weapon? I guess they could develop three of them. That might be worse.
Next question. Has the US military in Iran had an impact on your own personal financial situation? Yes. U mostly positive 1%. I guess those are the defense contractors.
Uh mostly negative 54% as you would expect. Not at an impact 29%.
And the last question, considering both the costs and benefits to the USA, do you think it has been worth the USA taking military action? Iran, 24% say yes. That's very low.
Very low. Um, not worth it. 51% don't know.
22%.
Okay. Um, there's a bit of an isolationist movie happening in the USA, but it's not anything major. It's not like World War II where we had a parties that say, "No, no, we're not going to go and get involved with Hitler or Tojo in Japan and we're staying here and that's it." We don't have that. We have gad flies on social media, but it's not a big movement. So, you can't blame that.
Now, I'm going to give you a brief history lesson. So, we all know Adolf Hitler, right? So, I'm going to cover my book, Confronting Evil. And Hitler was not a man of subtlety.
All right? He wrote a book called Mcomf where he said, you know, if I get power, I'm wiping out the Jews, the gypsies, and anybody else I don't like. So, they're going. And every German knew it, and everybody in Europe knew it. And then Hitler started to violate Treaty of Versailles, ended World War I, march his soldiers all over the place and uh imposed the Third Reich from as I said the Arctic Circle into North Africa and nobody did anything about it. We didn't.
President Roosevelt didn't want to get involved. Winston Churchill's pounding, I got help. You got to help us. It was just Britain.
That was it. They were alone.
France, forget it. They surrendered like, you know, in record time.
Scandinavia, we surrender. No, Italy joined forces with Hitler.
Mussolini.
Spain joined forces. Franco, not formerly, but Franco was a fascist. And on and on and on and on. And everybody knew this guy wanted to take over the world.
He wanted to execute, exterminate people.
and he was going to take your country.
He wasn't letting you. The only country that he didn't take Hitler was Switzerland because it was so logistically hard to occupy that country with the Alps and Hitler needed uh a financial outpost which Switzerland provided.
Okay, so that is a perfect analogy of what we have here. Everybody knows that Iran sponsors terrorism at a mass level and the authorities say that they are close to a nuclear weapon.
Not complicated.
No, we don't want to deal with it.
Don't. No, no, no, no. Let them do what they want because that's the alternative except for the pope. The Pope's al alternative is well, we need more mediation, negotiation. I don't know how many times, your holiness, that you're going to have chats.
I don't know. I don't I'm not opposed to that. But is that a solution?
doesn't seem to me.
Let's face it, the US economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war shaking the markets, and meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. Now, I'm not a wararmonger. I had a very interesting discussion with Hannity on his radio program. You should listen to this on Bill O'Reilly.com because Hannity, you know, is in Trump's camp and he's very critical of the Pope.
And Hannity and I grew up in the same neighborhood on Long Island, you know, not that close together, but in Nassau County. And we both went to Catholic schools and we know what the religion is. and he and I were very much different on this issue with the Pope and Trump.
And here is the uh here is the key to this whole discussion.
Both men are right.
See, in in America, we have a national sport. Something has to be wrong.
Somebody has to be bad. We don't accept, well, we could have two points of view. who both are worthy. We don't accept that it's Republicans are good, Democrats are bad, or vice versa, liberals, conservatives, that's it. Both men, Leo and President Trump are doing what they're supposed to do.
Leo's a pacifist.
So is Jesus.
Okay?
didn't uh want his followers to protect him when he was arrested. He told him to stand down. Those who live by the sword.
Okay. Yeah. He got a little upset when they were uh selling stuff in the uh in the temple. Jesus wasn't a milk toast, but it was we're pacifists here. We turn the other cheek.
That's what Christianity is.
The Pope's doing his job.
Trump's job is confrontational.
Is to protect us from evil.
and he's doing his job because as we pointed out last night, not a president in the last 50 years who would have taken on Iran. Jimmy Carter got waxed by them. That was the end of that.
Reagan didn't do it. Bush the elder, Bush the younger. No. No. Not doing it.
Not doing it. no matter how bad they are because it's such a mess over there.
Trump said, "Look, I got a responsibility.
These people have to go. They're too dangerous. He's doing his job.
So, if I could mediate between Leo and President, I could get them both to agree.
They just go at it in different ways.
Now, Hannity's point was that the Pope injects himself into public policy.
Well, he's got to explain that.
And it's it's a valid point.
If Pope Leo is going to say, "No, no, no, no. Don't go after Iran," then he's got to answer questions about Catholic Church okay with the Mullis having nukes.
Are they okay with 30,000 dead in Iran?
Because the Pope decided to inject himself into a political situation. very rare.
Very rare.
The last one was John Paul II who actually went to Poland because he was Polish as you remember and demanded the Soviet Union start treating the Polish workers with dignity. That was a political move and it worked.
Solidarity.
Uh Soviet Union fell. John Paul be a saint.
He was the only one in our lifetime.
Okay. He injected himself in that political situation, but he explained it. Human dignity.
And then I brought up and this uh is is pretty interesting analysis. I think you'll agree that the Catholic Church in America is different than the Catholic Church in Italy.
So, we're like a non-judgmental church here.
And a lot of Catholics don't like that.
They want the church to be more judgmental.
And Hannity is one of those people.
So I pointed out that hey, President Biden violated every tenant of the Catholic religion. Not only did he enable abortion, he promoted it.
A great evil according to Catholic Church, abortion.
President of the United States promoted it.
Well, you didn't hear much about that.
There were a few movements, one in Virginia, to ban President Biden from receiving communion. Same thing with Nancy Pelosi in San Francisco.
But they never really got traction.
And the Pope, as they say, were that was Francis.
They didn't he didn't get involved with that.
So, there's a lot here.
And I'm saying to myself, I that always bothered me. So Biden's going to go to church every Sunday and make a show out of it, which he did. Okay. And then he is a massive violator of Christian doctrine, Catholic doctrine, and you don't say anything.
And mil literally millions of babies never get to live.
That's worse than Iran when you add up the numbers. Iran could be worse down the road, but you know what I'm talking about here. So, the Catholic Church is uh is not confrontational in that way.
It isn't.
And it departs a little bit from the Nazarene. And remember I wrote Killing Jesus because he was confrontational.
When he saw something that was obviously wrong, Jesus spoke out about it.
And the Catholic leaders today aren't by and large.
Now, I'm going to try to get next week the smartest Catholic that I can get um to debate the issue.
Uh this is not an easy booking because people know where I'm coming from. I know what I'm talking about.
But again, I'm going to send uh missives to both. I might see the president next week. I hope so. And I'll say, "Look, send me to Rome.
I'll solve it because we all good people should be united against these mullets.
There shouldn't be this division. This helps them.

Quick question. How do you normally get your medication? Because there is a better way. When you need something, it's always a hassle. You call a doctor next appointment in days away. You sit in a waiting room full of sick people.
Then you stand in line at the pharmacy.
Sometimes they don't even have what you need. That system is slow, frustrating, outdated. But there's one pharmacy doing it a smarter way. All Family Pharmacy.
You go online, choose what you need, fill out a quick medical form, and a licensed doctor reviews your request and provides a prescription if it's appropriate. Then they ship it right to your door. Stock up on essentials like antibiotics, Ivormekin, and 300 other prescription medications. Please go to allfamilyfarm pharmacy.com/bill.
Use code bill10 in order to get 10% off your order.
Okay, final thought. I'm down here uh doing some charity work in South Florida and on Friday I'm giving a uh speech Q&A to a Catholic church, a big one.
That should be interesting. And it just hap it just broke that way. I had this on my calendar for six months. It just broke that way. And I'm not going to tell you what it is because I don't want it was already sold out. Um and I don't want any u you know chaos.
But I'll report back on Monday um and tell you uh what the reaction was uh at the Catholic Church. Um, and the Q&A is going to be pretty lively, that's for sure. I'm happy I'm here. Um, nice day today in South Florida and I'm very happy you took the time to watch and listen to the No Spin News new column on Sunday and we'll see you again on Monday.
