Dimensions represent different levels of spatial complexity: a dot exists in zero dimensions, a line in one dimension, a flat square in two dimensions, and a cube in three dimensions (the dimension we live in). Scientists believe time could be the fourth dimension, meaning beings with access to it could move through time like we walk through space. In higher dimensions, all moments in time may exist simultaneously, which could explain phenomena like ghosts, aliens, or other entities that exist in dimensions our brains cannot perceive, similar to how a 2D character cannot fully understand a 3D human.

What are the different dimensions?追加:
What are those different dimensions in Interstellar and could different dimensions finally explain the existence of ghosts, aliens, and jinn? Now, to understand this, we first need to understand dimensions. Imagine a dot. A dot exists in zero dimensions. Now, stretch that dot into a line, that becomes the first dimension. Add another direction and you get a flat square.
That's the second dimension. Now, pull it upwards and suddenly you have a cube.
That's the third dimension. That's where we live. Humans exist in 3D. We can move forward, backward, left, right, up, and down. But, time. Time changes everything. Scientists believe time could actually be fourth dimension.
Meaning, if a being could fully access the fourth dimension, they might move through time the same way we walk through a hallway. And this, this is exactly what Interstellar tried to show.
Near the end of the movie, Cooper falls into a strange space filled with infinite versions of his daughter's bedroom. He wasn't using magic. He was experiencing higher dimensions where every moment in time existed all at once. To us, the past is gone and the future hasn't happened yet. But, in higher dimensions, both may already exist simultaneously. And here's the creepy part. What if some things around us exist in dimensions we cannot perceive? Ghosts, aliens, or jinn? Or even life forms sharing the same space as us right now, but invisible because they move through dimensions our brain cannot understand. This is like a 2D character trapped on paper trying to imagine a 3D human. Maybe, just maybe, the universe is far more crowded than we think. Follow Space Oda for more facts like this.
