The global marine ecosystem is experiencing a catastrophic collapse, with plankton populations declining by over 54% worldwide, threatening the 70% of oxygen humans breathe and causing widespread fishery failures, shell rot in marine organisms, and potential human extinction within 3-5 years if immediate action is not taken to restore plankton populations through nutrient upwelling and reducing pollution sources like agricultural runoff and tire wear.

The collapse of our Marine ecosystem and what it means for humanity.Añadido:
why you're unable to join there. If you look through your notifications, you actually should have it.
And I do not know why you're not seeing that.
It is.
I don't know. Again, I'll wait for Herman. he's still having problems.
But uh over the over the last 8 to 10 years, we've been constantly speaking about the collapse of plankton in erosion and what that actually means. And the numbers plankton numbers at this stage in different areas around the world are absolutely collapsing.
uh you know the what that actually means for humanity is absolutely terrifying. Uh you know and the problem with it of course the boy that cried wolf there for years and you know if you look at the Al Gores and everyone else that constantly said you know about rising sea levels and all this nonsense and of course the way that has affected uh the way that has affected people. One second. Now, let me try Herman again.
I'm not sure what Herman is doing that he's unable to join here. Um, you should be able to look back through your notifications, Herman, and you should be able to find it.
But I'm going to continue just in case Herman is unable to join, which I I don't know why he'd be having issues.
But today, plankton numbers globally are down over 54%.
Over 70% of the oxygen we actually breathe comes from these small plants and animals inside the ocean.
There is an area in the central Pacific now that is half the size of the Atlantic Ocean that's absolutely dead.
There's no life in it. There's a similar area in the center of the Atlantic Ocean that is nearly as big as the Mediterranean that's also dead as well.
Something similar in the Indian Ocean.
Massive areas that there's actually no life in.
What's happening globally because of that of course like the acidization inside the ocean everything is changing is changing sh changing quickly really really really quickly it's estimated this year it could be announcing as high as 5% of the pl of the uh of the plant cell die this year the European Union is planning in finally after they pushing that we were spreading misinformation for years are finally going to come out over the next week to 10 days and actually agree with what we're saying. The plankton numbers now are probably the single biggest threat like you know there to our planet. Meanwhile, you have the Irish government, these other governments, they're talking about talking about carbon footprint and so on and so forth which is in some cases ridiculous, in some cases not. They the problem in our ocean as of course on land right you have as as CO2 enters our ocean what we had there for years with healthy planting numbers over five gigatons of these small plants and animals that's this five gigatons of these small plants and animals were able to were able to uh absorb the CO2 levels that was going to the ocean to absorb that no different than a tree or a plantto or whatever on land. And of course as they were absorbing that of course that became the largest carbon sink of course there in the world. But what has changed as plankton numbers increased and of course the CO2 levels increases inside the ocean. Acidization in the ocean also was increasing. I put up a post earlier today. You can see lobsters and you can see the outer shell of the lobster. It's called shell rot where the outer shell of the lobster is starting to break down. We see shrimps in the Gulf of Maine. This cold water shrimp, the Latin name for the shrimp is called Pandalus Borealis. Again, this shrimp is a really red blood red shrimp. Very, very sweet, delicious to eat. And of course, that area in the Gulf of Maine, the fishery was shut down for was shut down for over 25 years. And with that, of course, we didn't uh with the fishery being shut down for that for that period of time, you'd imagine like be lots of these shrimps actually come back. Uh last last autumn, they agreed in the US actually going to open up the fisheries again. I spoke to people in the fisheries and I spoke to people within the National Marine Fishery Service in the US. I said, "When you open up this fishery, you're not going to find any shrimp."
They said, "What are you talking about?
this fishery has been shut down over 25 years. Um, and of course they said that there would be plenty of shrimp there. I said, "You're making a mistake. You don't understand what's happening." I said, "Plank numbers have gone too low in the Gulf of May." Now, plankton numbers are down over 65%. According to all the universities that have measured, what that means for humanity, I'll get to that in a minute. It's absolutely terrifying what that actually means. Um, when they opened up the fishery, that's what they found. There was no shrimp.
There was very little shrimp to be seen.
And of course they they also have noticed there in the Gulf of Maine lots of the fish they're reducing in size.
You'd see a lot of these fish there.
These red fish, ocean perch used to be a large ocean perch, you know, could be 3 to four pounds. They're red fish. And these fish now are they're about a quarter the size they should be. Down in the in the Gulf region of the United States from Texas all the way over to Florida, we saw the very same thing happening there. There was a fish down there called a yellow croker. This yellow croker was a very very sweet fish to eat. Good white flaky meat. These fish used to be up on 2 kilos in weight.
Even a little bit higher, 2 and a half kilos in weight. These these uh these yellow croers are down to about 30 or 40 grams now. Tiny little fish fully.
They're fully grown at that. Of course, the problem. We see the same thing happening in the North Sea. There's reports. Research everything I'm saying.
You'll find this. And of course in the North Sea we've seen it where the the Scottish vessels had to change some of the fillet machines they actually for handling hadock and stuff. The large hadock they actually used to see they're seeing less and less of them. They've seen plenty of fish but they're very very small off the south coast of Ireland off the waterford car coast.
speak to fishermen um like Brendan Leonard and all these people from Dar East and all around the coast lots of small whiting and headach off the Irish coast the problem is they've stopped growing they grew again like you know to about a quarter the size what they should be and they actually stopped what is causing this what they call in the scientific uh community they call it stunting what's causing the stunting of course is the collapse of of plant numbers inside the oceans it's happening all over the world the what they're proposing for the likes of the offshore wind industry that will even kill even more plankton. It'll even reduce plankton and the problem will actually intensify. It'll increase become a lot lot worse. They four or five years ago I posted an article on one of my old Facebook pages. I had colossal following on it. I posted the very same article uh again I posted there on LinkedIn. uh Dr. Howard Dryden, a scientist that was based with the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. He posted a similar article up again. The guy was a scientist with a bunch of scientists that actually agreed with what I was saying and what my organization was saying were saying that there is a complete collapse in a marine ecosystem. Everything is collapsing and collapsing fast. The journal.ie turned around and they flagged my post as misinformation. Meta shut down my page at the time. God, I didn't get any warning, no nothing. They said I was spreading misinformation regarding the environmentalist space. I'm an environmentalist. I was actually posting something that was factual. The European Union now is after coming out and saying that they agree with what they're saying. They're going to release a report over the next week to 10 days.
What we've been saying for years, they're starting to agree with it now.
where they were going for years. They said they were going to go pulling CO2 levels out the atmosphere to fix the environmental problems we have, which is ludicrous. Absolutely ludicrous. Now they're going along and they're saying that again I just want to look to see where where Hermy is. Still no sign of him. Uh so they now they're starting to agree with they're going to release a report again downward saying we need to increase biodiversity in the ocean. We have to if we don't increase plankton numbers in the ocean and they continue to fall what happens of course like what I said earlier on about the shell rot the likes of the lobsters what that happens is all type of crustations will again the outer shell of them will rot away because of the acidization of the ocean Google this you will see what I'm talking about there's not enough of people actually talking about what is happening in our ocean as that happens as the acidization as that increases in our ocean. The rest of the plant numbers will actually collapse fairly quickly.
That is happening right now. We don't have to wait for a long period of time for this to happen. This is actually happening. Meanwhile, our governments are doing nothing to actually counter this. You know, one thing we need to do, we need to increase plankton numbers. If we don't increase plankton numbers, it's estimated on the low side within three years. within three years. And as people might think it's crazy, people might laugh at this or whatever, but research it first before you dismiss it. Within three to five years, humanity itself could be wiped out. Right now, we see we see the plant numbers is increasing or or again the the because of the acidization, the amount of plankton itself is actually dying at a rate we've never seen before. from outer space right now. From outer space, they can actually see the color of the ocean is actually changing. The color of the ocean they can see from outer space from going from blue to green. It's actually changing that fast. If you ever see the movie The Day After Tomorrow, we're facing something like this. And again, not being a not trying to fear monger or do anything of sort. This can actually be reversed if if our politicians will do something about it. We need to upwell water. Again, lots of co- nutrients in the water to feed plankton numbers.
Plankton numbers can increase and they can quadruple in a short period of time.
But of course, our politicians are looking at mindless projects or whatever which will do nothing for this. Up to 70% of of the oxygen we breathe actually comes from these small plants and animals. 70%. Just think about that. And again, don't take what I'm saying without researching it yourself and look at this. I speak about this on a daily basis. This is what I work. This is what my company does. Again, like is on about to reduce pollution and so on and so forth. There's multiple things causing this. One of the main causes for of course like is the is the runoff with nitrates, fertilizers again for the agricultural sector. Massive cause of this. Also sewage, raw sewage and everything into the water that's actually poisoning and killing the plankton as well. Another massive cause of this is if you look at it for the rubber from tires on cars. As the rubber and tires as they as it wears down, the heavier the car, of course, the tires are wearing down faster. All that rubber and that shaving of the tires makes us went to a a drain, a drain onto the stream, a stream into the ocean. It's killing everything in this path. And again, like you know, this is intensifying. Some of the reason why it's intensifying is because of the Green New Deal, which is the absolute crazy uh Herman is asking me a question there. He said he sent through something. Maybe if you log out, Herman, and log back in again, just just turn off your phone and log back in again. You can maybe to join. I can send resend a request to you. I I I I don't know what's what's uh what else to say to you at the moment, Herman. I see your message. just log out and log back in again. Um but the the biggest problem like you know as this increases as this increases it is we see it on a on a global level there was 26 whales uh washed up to on beaches along the Pacific coast of the Americas uh this this year so far this year this year the whales themselves are all you know the larger whales the the the filter feeders again on krill and so on and so forth The whales are washed up, they're starving. Uh they're absolutely every every last one of them. They've no food in them. We see plankton numbers dropping from the from the bearing sea all the way down to as far as Panama in the Gulf of Panama this last year. Um there was the first year on record that we know that there was no natural upwelling of water. And of course that greatly affected the Panama Canal. There was no there was no rain. And because of that, the Panama Canal itself, they limited the amount of ships were actually going through because of it.
Again, research this, you'll actually see it. This is not a scenario where people are saying this is something that's going to happen in five or 10 years. I'm very fast to call out the Irish government because again, everything they do is is unhelpful. We have people in the likes of the Irish government that have no idea what they're talking about when it comes to the marine ecosystem and the importance of the marine ecosystem. They're very fast to pull push initiatives that would raise massive amounts of of taxes, but at the same time they will do nothing to actually improve our our marine ecosystem. They still like you know pushing at at different technologies and allowing things to happen that's actually destroying our inshore waters. And of course because of that you'll see you'll see oxygen level and the levels and the quality of oxygen is actually dropping again at a at an alarming rate. I mean this this is actually happening. Um at this stage it's pure frustration. I I don't know how you know to get the message out. I know the European Union is going to come out within the next week to 10 days. They're going to double down on what we're saying. At last they're going to double down. But listening to the scientists speaking last night on the conference call I actually had with them, it is absolutely terrifying. People have asked me today, they said, "Karen, you seem very stressed out." I said, "I didn't sleep last night." And they said, "Why?" I said, "If you listen to what has been said and what's actually happening, humanity itself, like is going to be absolutely obliterated because of what's what's happening. our marine ecosystem.
We cannot survive without it. Without a healthy marine ecosystem, all life as we know it will cease to exist. And this is happening at a fast rate. You speak to any fisherman inshore fisherman around the Irish coast and they'll tell you there's no fish in shore. You see no mackerel for years on the south coast of Ireland, the mackerel are gone. These big shores of mackerel we see since we were little children and small little sprat coming in and mackerel to feed them, they've gone. The reason they're gone is there are no plankton there. The plankton numbers have collapsed. It has completely collapsed. And of course, we've record low numbers at this stage, but they're still pushing initiatives that's actually going to make this problem a lot lot worse. And again, at this stage, I like I said, I don't know what to say or even how to to wake people up. A lot of people, they seem to be to be asleep. And again, you need to read. I will put up some links again to read this. If you go on the GO Foundation, GO Foundation, goes Foundation. Again, they're good friends of ours. We work on projects together there for years. Read what those guys are saying as well. The collapse is well underway. It's even a lot worse than what they thought. Spoke to some of their scientists last night on the call as well, and they said it's it's dire.
You know, if we if we lose 5% to the plankton this year, which there's a really good chance we will. If we lose 5% this year, we lose about 10% the year after. And if you look at that, the entire marine ecosystem at that stage, the acidization will get so bad the rest of the plankton that's alive will actually dissolve.
And then you're looking at it that the plankum itself like we know up to 70% of the oxygen we breathe is coming from these small plants and animals. If the rest of them disappears the air becomes so toxic and that's it you won't be able to breathe and of course it'll kill us all. What has the solution been to for the for global nations all over the globe with the last with the last 15 to 20 years they've been building bunkers.
This might sound crazy to you, but again, [clears throat] please research it. I've been at multiple environmental conferences, listening to people speaking about this for years now. I've been I've been posting about this for years now. And when I was posting, you people say, you know, the guy is crazy.
This can't this doesn't make any sense.
Till they research it. When they research it, they come back and they say to you, "Oh my god, what can we do?" And what we have to do, we need to increase planktons. We need to stop the use of fertilizers and everything else on our land. It needs to be stopped. The likes of nitrogens and everything else that's been used in the agricultural sector globally. We have to stop using it. We have to these chemicals are going from the land washing into the rivers and every last bit of it is actually killing everything that's there, everything in front of it. Again, like I keep saying, we cannot survive without planting. And there is lots and lots and lots of research, you know, regarding this. I was hoping Herman would come on because I've spoke to Herman about this for years and I spoke to his he's his former boss there the an MEP uh with the Danish government he actually came over last year and he met me and we sat down we spoke about this and we spoke about the problems of pollution in the ocean in some great detail and of course he understands it you know it's they a lot of our politicians understand it too in Ireland I don't know about that but the answer has been on a glo global level was build larger bunkers and they've spoke about this openly about this where 10 to 15 20,000 people can actually survive with hydroponics and everything else that they can sit out maybe for two three four five generations underground and maybe at some point that the air quality will actually improve or humans will be to breathe again outside of outside of a bunker which is crazy and again if you if you think That sounds really crazy.
What I'm saying, please don't dismiss it. Research it. Research it and you'll see what I'm saying is actually true.
Like I said, it's I was on a call there last night with some scientists, some of the top scientists in the world regarding this space and I haven't slept since. It is what is coming is absolutely terrifying. If we don't do something, if you don't change this around, you know, it's we're in serious trouble. And of course, it's, you know, something we don't think about, right?
We look at the ocean as something that we can take advantage of. We can build offshore structures. We can run electrical cables through through the ocean floor. We can put these wind turbines that shed lots of small little fabrics or or fibers uh from them. Um up to 2.65 quadrillion particles per kilo that they lose into the ocean every year. Each structure loses about 60 kilos. They get about 150 uh quad trillion particles a year per structure.
Each one of those little particles, of course, plankton eats it. Of course, it kills it. It even reduces plankton number even more. You know, it's the what is happening is terrifying. I mean, is absolutely terrifying. And we need we definitely need to wake people up.
Again, like I said, please don't dismiss this, please. Because what is coming is absolutely terrified. It's coming and it's coming quickly. I know people in the environmental space for years had cried wolf above many things about sea levels and all this all this nonsense only the ozone there then it's not the whole there it's and they pushed all these narratives for years and of course because of that people are not willing to listen to what is actually what is actually coming what is in the pipeline now that's that's coming really really quickly you know like I said don't listen to what they Google it and start researching it yourself. We need to we need to wake our politicians up.
Again, I I I don't hold back. I I don't like politicians. I see politicians as as a lot of the problems for what we face today, especially in our marine ecosystem. They allowed industrial fishing around the Irish coast for years which actually helped create some of this problem too. And of course they're continuing to do it. They're continued to do it and of course that creates a problem in itself.
It's and is asking where do you look it up? Look it up about acidization in the ocean. Just put in on a Google search acidization in the ocean. What is causing it? And you you'll read read plenty about it. Look it up on go into Google Scholar. Put in Google Scholar. A lot he don't understand. There's another Google that academia uses. Just put in the Google search. Put in Google Scholar and just put in assization. You'll get you'll get a thousand white papers on this. You know, again, this is this is coming and it's coming quickly. And you know, it's people just need to wake up. People need to wake up. We have to protect our marine ecosystem. We have to. That is the biggest reason why I fight with the Irish government for years because of this. I completely disagree with what they're doing regarding offshore wind because of this very issue because of plankton and what it's actually going to do to plankton numbers. I one of the biggest reasons I've seen on other areas around the world where the medieval system is actually collapsing because of this because of the likes of the offshore wind. But this is not just about that you know it's other sides of it. Even if you have an electrical car here's how crazy this is. If you have electrical car the weight of the car is a lot heavier. The tires on the car they wear down they wear down a lot quicker.
And as the tires wear down, all those tiny little fibers, those little pieces of fiber ends up inside the ocean. They float around the upper water column all over the world. And as the plankton in the nighttime migrates up to five gigatons of plankton migrates every night back up and down at migrates in the night time up to the upper water column to feed.
And of course, as it sees these small microfers inside the ocean, it goes to eat it as a food source. Sees it as a food source. Of course, it kills it. The poisons the plank plank are dying in record numbers because of this, you know, but everything we do, it's like one step forward, two steps back, you know. It's the the problem of of nitrates is is the biggest one. You know, raw sewage again, absolutely enormous, you know, where we use the ocean just as something to dump everything and it's and we've been doing that for years.
I've been speaking about this like I said for the longest time and for years as I spoke about it you'd like to journal.ie and other entities s around they they flagged posts they said I was spreading misinformation which they no longer say that now they know unfortunately I was right didn't want to be right but I am right you know I've I've seen it all over the world's oceans seen the marine ecosystem collapse you see less and less fish in really remote areas where there's really even no fish there's no fish either you know the plankton numbers as it falls Of course that tiny little plants and animals you know is the the entire re ecosystem depends on them. Those small little plants and animals tiny little fish eats then bigger little fish eat each and so on and so forth. Everything is collapsing. Right before our very eyes and our government is doing nothing to stop it besides taxing you. They continue to tax you. They use that money for other things. they could actually instead of spending the money idly spending it they should be doing something to actually stop the nitrates and everything else but they're not you know unfortunately our politicians have an extremely low IQ they're not intelligent at all I've spoke about this in universities all over the world and of course the universities agree you know when they when they research what you're saying and they come back and they say holy Where are we? How long have we got? Like we're we're running out of time.
But the scientists say last night is absolutely terrifying.
Terrifying. And of course, some people will dismiss this. They laugh in the videos.
But that's okay. You're laughing at yourself.
You know, it's Take your kids, your grandkids.
Take your kids that will some of them they'll never date. never have kids.
They're not going to live long enough because of this. And of course, it's up to ourselves. I don't know how we can get our politicians to actually wake up. I have absolutely no idea. I have no idea. Like I said, no matter what, I'm an environmentalist. I know I'm very harsh on the Irish government because I don't agree with what they're doing. I despise crime, drugs, all form of crime. I despise it. Despise drug dealers, pedophiles, rapists, anybody that's doing something to hurt people. I don't like them. And I speak out about that all the time. And I continue to do it because you know what? I hate seeing people being hurt by these mindless people. Remember, the people that's going to hurt you the most is the government. We need small government, you know, but we need a government that actually cares about it people. We need We need change. We need massive, massive change. Again, I'll ask you to do one thing. Please share this video. And maybe we can get it across the line that they will actually wake up. Share. Ask your friends to reshare it. Highlight it when you share it and try and get people to share it and share it and share it.
This is coming. It's coming so quick. It is unreal.
But yet our politicians are doing nothing to actually actually stop it. I work around the clock regarding this one particular issue. I work on it. I work 20 hours a day, seven days a week. Anybody that knows me can tell you that. People in my company are all aware of that. You know, I I don't sleep. I know what's coming.
You know, I want to believe that my that our kids and our grandkids can have a planet where they can actually be happy, that they they're going to survive, not just a couple of couple of elites, couple hundred people, couple of thousand people inside a bunker someplace.
Again, like I said, I've said it about 10 times, please don't dismiss this.
Don't Shame on you if you do think about your kids. I might sound might sound crazy what I'm saying, but just please just research this. Just research it. Look up what I'm saying. I will share links under this video in a minute that you can get a better idea what is actually coming. People need to wake up. What is coming is brutal, but none of us going to survive it.
The best chance they have, some of the scientists are saying, where there would might be small pockets, different areas close to the equator maybe.
But the Icelandic government came out with a statement there and research this too. Also research this Icelandic government comes out with a claim the Gulf Stream is actually slowing down.
It's actually starting to slow down.
This is all connected. Every bit of it is connected.
I've been speaking about that with also with about 10 years now that you will see the Gulf Stream starting to slow down and it is as it's slowing down you can see temperatures west of Ireland west of the parkine basin temperatures are actually decreasing temperatures also if you go all the way due west to the Gulf of Maine temperatures has fallen on a steady pace with the last four to five years temperatures are falling there also the Gulfream the Gulf Stream is is is slowing down at at a at a pace like again that we've never seen. The difference compared to things that have happened historically over millions of years, this is something very different.
This is something very very different.
We had ice ages. We had all that in the past. And of course one thing we didn't have in the past like you know when we had our ice ages when we had all these changes you know in climate we had all that the difference we had then we still had a healthy marine ecosystem there was still a lot of life in the ocean it was able to get this to reverse it at some point in time that's no longer the case this time something very very different now our marine ecosystem has collapsed it's not something that's going to happen in the future if anybody is there from the Wexford water for C coast.
Again, Kosa, you know exactly what I'm saying. You saw no m lots and lots of macro that like used to be there with 30, 40, 50 years, 100 years. They're gone.
There's there's no plankton there for them to eat. Of course, this is happening everywhere.
You know, it's brutal problem. Brutal problem. We hear people in even in the fishing industry people are saying like you know we need you know that people have no friends in there I mean they can say there's there's no fish there's there's no fish everything is collapsing everything is collapsing at a very very fast rate industrial fishing had a big part to play in it massive part to play in it that's regarding the collapse of fish not to do with plankton but the collapse of the fish yes the Irish fishing industry is so is so messed up at the moment that they actually went looking for a license to see could they actually go harvesting plankton and turn that plankton into fish meal to go feeding farm salmon. That's what they that was they they looked at fish is all gone to say what next? We can scrape the ass of the barrel and we can actually go targeting plankton. They actually tried to do that. There's vessels in Norway doing it right now.
Not down the Arctic. They're actually doing it in the in the North Atlantic right now. There are some Norwegian vessels been out in a few years which is also crazy. But the Irish vessels Kilibbe sport boats wanted to do the same thing. They wanted to do the very very same thing. The same destructive methods they wanted to go doing too.
Again everything I'm saying you can Google it. Everything it is I I don't tell lies. I'll say it how I see it and I'll follow up whatever information I actually have. But I promise you, like I will put links up to what's actually going on for you to read. And please share it. We have to get this out. We really, really have to get this out.
Humanity depends on us waking our politicians up. Showing the severity at actually what's happening. I spoke on local radio stations in Ireland in the past about this about how plankton numbers are actually falling, collapsing, but this is happening much quicker than any of us expected. Much much much quicker. The recent reports that actually came out are terrifying.
Absolutely terrifying.
And you know, again, it's like I said, don't dismiss it.
Please look it up. Please share it.
Please get every last person that you know to reshare it again. Try and get our politicians to wake up.
This is this is something that will finish life as we know it unless we change it. The thing about this can be reversed. This actually can be reversed. We can reverse. Plankton numbers can quadruple in a short period of time. We just need to get enough nutrients in the water for it. we can actually push those nutrients from deep under the surface that the plankton itself will actually come back.
We can actually fix this if the governments are serious about it.
But let's see. Let's see what they think. Remember, we all depend on this.
Thank you.
