My humor. I don't come up with new stuff to say. I say the same stuff over and over again. So, anyways, we're popping the rest of this exhaust manifold off.
And I went to go ahead and put this thing. Oh, I dropped it. I went to put this thing in time. Well, needless to say, I found the u I found a big part of what he did wrong. the crankshaft was spinning, but the sprockets weren't. And so, for those that don't know what I mean, I'll show you here in just a sec.
So, he's definitely got a uh he's definitely got a problem.
If I said it like Rain Man, I'd say, yeah, def definitely has a problem.
Definitely a problem. Definitely in the problem zone.

It's called a keyway. Well, now when I spin this, I go spin this.
Let me go back. Oh, you guys notice the chain. None of this is spinning with it.
That's That's not good. Yeah, that's not good. So, we're gonna get it ready to pop it off.
Now, pop it off and then we'll uh uh see what we'll we'll see what else is happening with it. So, uh All right. So, I want to make sure I got the exhaust ready to pull away from this.
And thought I only had these four bolts holding this on, huh?
Oh. Oh, dang it. Took off. So, let me pop off a couple more here because I want to get ready to pop this right off.

Um, we got to pop this O2 sensor off first. So, let me see if maybe I'll put this on the uh the tripod so you guys can have a little better view.

All right. All right. So, like I said, guys, typically you would line up your your marks here and everything before taking this off. But, as I said a little bit ago, the key in the crankshaft is missing. Customer put it together without that. So, we're uh we're not going to do that. But here's what we are going to do.
See if we can.

Yeah, this this shouldn't be moving if I'm if it's not following me. I I gota I got to master that thing, guys.
And hopefully I can do that sometime soon.
So, I'm going to go and mark this so you guys can see that.

You guys see the yellow marks moving, but the the sprocket's not moving. Oh, I just hit a piston right there. Hit a valve right there. Can't go any further.
So, we got to find out. Hey, what's going on here? It's like, hey, what's going on?
If this was all moving, we could put it at top dead center. We could see what the problem is. Well, then we could, you know, take it off, do a timing job. But it's not moving.
So, let's go ahead.
We'll pop out our tensioner.

I put that back in just for a sec so I could show you that a lot of times you can Oh, so you know if if our sprockets and stuff were spinning, we could push this back and go ahead and put a little pin in there so it doesn't, you know, want to want to go You want to try keep your hands on it.

um that it that causes this to slide on. So, if any of you guys want to look up for me real quick the uh crankshaft sprocket for K24, see if this sprocket here, one, this is one piece.
Oh, wait. Is it? Yeah, it is. So, see if this rocket here has a little kind of tooth part that would line up with this here.
So, I I don't So, one of you guys could look it up. See if there's a little like notch that comes out that slides into this. That should be on this assembly.
So, we might work on the Griffago a little bit later. Uh, I got to go home and get the kids because we usually do crop and gone on Tuesday nights and having the extra day off kind of throw us for a loop. Um, so is that working?

So, uh, I got to go home and see what the kids want to do.
I really I really want to know if if this has a if that has a notch that's supposed to be on part of that that timing gear because it it's something's missing. It needs a notch in there to keep it to keep it in time. So, is there a little you is there supposed to be a little notch on the back side of that gear that slides into that or not?
Because something needs to keep it lined up.

What really sucks is I think this guy, it looks like this guy uh he's a cool he's a cool dude. He's a um he's a c you know c customer obviously, but uh you know he had went to replace the DVT actuator uh on the intake side. He did something wrong. So I want to see if I got to go. Uh, if the kids want to work on the Griffago, we'll be back later tonight. I got brand new set of tires for it. Um, I got the walnut shell to s like sand blast the wheels. We're going to paint them a satin black. It's going to look so sweet, dudes. Um, 201 13 Honda CRV crankshaft gear.

You're not supposed to go return that by yourself, dude. This I'm almost certain there should be a keyway. That's part of this crankshaft gear that slides into this slot here so we can keep it all together. That That's not right. Not right at all, dude. Uh, oh, Jay, that's an excellent question.
Um, fact, you know what? I'm gonna drive that home. Um, let me spin this around real quick so I can talk to you about that. Um, all right. So, Jay, yes, I did. Um, I did. Let me grab a uh let me grab a let me grab the old one real quick. Hold on.
So, I accidentally lost um what's going on here?

So, guys, u Friday night I was doing this.
Yeah, I'm really irritated about that whole thing. Um, yeah, Marcus said it was real difficult to go ahead and take the old one back out so we could plug into it, copy it, and write the file to the new one. Not hard at all. It took a couple minutes. And what I found out was the I called So, you have your This is your fuse block part right here. It should have a bunch of fuses in it. This one here, they don't sell this part anymore. You have to get this. We got this one off eBay, but they do sell what's also known as a gem or this is like your body control module. This here comes right off. We got ours from Worldpack. So, I took out the old unit, plugged it in, copied it, put in the new unit, and it said that the new BCM was or GEM GM was incompatible. So, it was a This here happens to be the new part. It's no good. U looks like the short was just in here. So, we reused the gem BCM and replaced this has hasn't had a parasity draw over the weekend or today or anything. So, looks like that's it and we will return this. What sucks is there's no reason this shouldn't have copied, you know, been able to be written except for it was wrong. So, uh look, I got to grab the kids and uh and then uh we may be back later tonight doing some uh hey Dave. Uh, we may be back there tonight doing some more with the RV or the Griffabago as I call it.
