Siddaramaiah Meets Mallikarjun Kharge Amid High-Stakes Talks Over Karnataka's New Power Structure

So earlier we saw that meeting with Rahul Gandhi and Narendra meeting with Kharge [music] minister K.J. George, minister Priyanka Kharge and legislative council [music] member Dr. Narendra present during this meeting. So it's been a busy [music] morning for Narendra first meeting with Rahul Gandhi. Sonia Gandhi didn't attend that meeting and now a meeting with Mallikarjun Kharge. Let's go across to Ritu for more on this and so Ritu a series [music] of meetings for Narendra and these are key as you know we're still waiting to find out the contours of this next government and Narendra will definitely want [music] a big say in you know his loyalists getting some positions in that government as well as deputy chief minister position as well.

You see of of course with Narendra now stepping down as the chief minister you know the next option offered the kind of deal that the high command will be sealing with him. Now in terms of opportunity you see since now the Narendra has completely categorically refused to take up on the national political role there in you see the option that is left is that what kind of a bigger role that he can be given here in the state because he wants to remain in the state politics. He wants to be active here in the state politics. He says that his there's still a lot that he really owes to his supporters as well as to the people as well as specifically from the Mysore region that he comes from. You see that's where the deal is yet to be sealed for him at a personal note and how that the high command is really going to offer his son [music] Narendra a bigger position as well. That needs to be seen because this is for the first time that we are seeing Yatindra Siddaramaiah also being in Delhi. So yes, all that talks regarding a deal for Siddaramaiah and his family [music] person basically Yatindra Siddaramaiah has to be done there in the Delhi as well. But of course DK Shivakumar also remains to be in Delhi.

[00:02:16]Now how is that his cabinet structure is really going to look like? How is that the high command is going to ensure to give that balanced uh you know, leaders combination when we talk about the cabinet ensuring that Siddaramaiah somewhere is not seen upset as well even as that they really want him to exit happily, you know, from the position that he's been asked to step down. So yes, all that permutation and the combination [music] will have to be placed before Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar as well. So that the party remains to be [music] united even as the party plans to head into assembly elections for from 2 years now. So yes, this is going to be a very important in a topic with the high command as well.

[00:02:54]And post that you see even as that I mean in fact learning that the CLP meeting is going to take place tomorrow since all the MLAs have been called to [music] Bangalore now to be assembled here in the morning. We have to be It has to be seen, you see, now what my sources are in front confirming is that the KPCC leaders have called all the MLAs to assemble in Bengaluru in the morning. Needs to be seen whether the CLP meeting is going to be taken place in [music] you know, Vidhana Soudha or somewhere else as well. Now the kind of talks that are going to be held there too. So all this is really going to play an important role to see to it whether the high command continues to retain you know, Siddaramaiah's cabinet leaders as well.
