[00:00:17]What's going on guys? Welcome to another edition of True Crime Strategic. Thank you so much for joining me today. I got a really interesting show for you guys today. I got a special request from a viewer to cover this case. This case happened, I believe, in 2025 and it involves two young people who assassinated a young man in a McDonald's in California. Now, not that many news organizations has been covering it, but recently in 2026, May, April, May, there's been some updates has kind of thrown this case for a loop. Ladies and gentlemen, I want to bring you guys up to speed on this tragedy. And then I want to bring you guys the update as to what's happening to the perpetrators and what might have been their motivation for doing this unthinkable crime against a young man who looked like his future was pretty bright, but we're going to talk more about this. Let's jump into it. The >> public got their first look today at a deadly Clovis shooting that played out in front of dozens of teens one year ago. Thanks for joining us tonight for Action News Live at 5. I'm Moran Armstrong >> and I'm Gracia Moreno. Prosecutors today played several never-before-seen video clips in a high stakes hearing that could determine a young girl's fate.

[00:01:29]Action News reporter Gabe Ferris was there in the courtroom.

[00:01:32]>> He watched those videos and joined us now with what he saw. Gabe.

[00:01:36]>> Well, Grayson Warren, the videos I saw today show how this alleged crime came together in real time. You see a suspect wearing all black, a girl driving a white Tesla, and then the shooting of Caleb Quick just feet in front of his two friends.

[00:01:51]>> In a hearing closed to cameras, we saw the moment of Caleb Quick's death for the first time. Surveillance video from a Clovis Shop and Go shows Quick exit the adjacent McDonald's. Quick walks out with his two friends. He's in front. One holds the door for a person dressed in all black. And just feet from that exit, the suspect catches up with Quick, approaching from the back. There was a flash, quick falls. His friends rushed to his side, one dropping to the ground to perform aid, the other calling 911.

[00:02:19]It was pretty chaotic. Clovis police detective Marcus Burke said, "Caleb was not responsive. There was not a whole lot I could do." During the havoc, the video shows the suspect running toward Willow Avenue. And just moments later, it shows a female. Detective Love Deep Molly testifying that she ran to her vehicle, a white Tesla Model 3. That detective then identifying the girl in court. the teen sitting with her attorneys wearing a white top, black jeans, and Nike sneakers. Prosecutors say she was the getaway driver in that white Tesla. In this hearing, the judge also watching another video. Cameras outside a restaurant show a white Tesla circling the area quickly changing direction. It's later seen along Jordan Avenue. A camera there showing the car pull up. There is a honk and then a person wearing all black enters the Tesla as it speeds off. The videos are first look at what happened nearly one year to the day since Quick's death. The teen girl now in a highstakes transfer hearing as a judge decides if her case will go to adult criminal court. Her boyfriend set for a similar hearing later this year. And as some of those videos played during this current proceeding, his brother and his mother sitting right there in the front row watching.

[00:03:30]And investigators briefly testified about that male suspect today. They said they found shell casings in his closet and two revolvers in the master bedroom of his parents' home. At the live desk tonight, I'm Gabe.

[00:03:40]>> All right, so this is a very, very sad one, right? So, we're up to speed.

[00:03:44]Nobody really understood why is it that this kid because these are two 16-year-olds um assassinated this 18year-old Quick. Um let's get into it.

[00:03:56]So this is the video one of >> he pointed to literally stalking testified the crime did not appear to >> so just want to bring this he's stalking KB this whole time watching his movements check this out >> he testified the crime did not appear to be impulsive which is more typical in juvenile cases instead he pointed to signs of planning like asking about the victim's whereabouts hours before the shooting having DNA on the weapon and misleading friends about her actions that day Dr. Carmichael also noted actions after the shooting, saying Cassandra helped the shooter avoid being caught and drove him home. He believes her motive may have been to stop what she believed was harmful behavior by the victim, including alleged sexual assaults.

[00:04:41]>> So, here we go. So, this is where things start twisting, right? So now finally in this year these things start coming out that the motive was because there is a video that the prosecution has actually saw where KB is assaulting a young woman a girl while she's unconscious and apparently she that victim was friends either directly or via a third party with the people who took KB's life. So, this is KB's family page where they memorialize him. Um, KB took his name, his life, his story. KBB was 18 years old, a church kid, a cook, a goofball, a cowboy, accepted into the Air Force, just about to graduate high school. He lit up rooms. He loved his brother. He deserves his future. This site exists to make sure he's seen not just as a statistic or a headline, but as a person he truly was. Now, I went through some forums and I saw that there were quite a few people who didn't have nice things to say about KBB. They said he was a bully, etc. And then we have these added information. This is speculation stuff.

[00:05:54]There's two sides of every story. And let's keep in mind that KB was a young man and young people make mistakes all the time. All right? That does not mean that you deserve to die, but I do want you to get the updates on this case regardless of where those up updates may fall. So, uh, never got to say goodbye.

[00:06:14]KB Quick's father recalls son's death ahead of transfer hearing. A downtown Fresno, a hearing is set to begin to decide whether the case of a teenage girl charged with the 2025 murder of 18-year-old KB Quick will be moved to adult court. Fresno County District Attorney's Office has scheduled a transfer hearing to last 5 days and it's one that will present never before seen evidence from the case. All right. So, I just want you guys to know we're going to skip over this because that hearing happened and they determined that this would stay in juvenile court at least for the girl.

[00:06:50]I don't believe that the actual shooter has had his transfer hearing yet. It's I think it's set to happen sometime this month or next month. But at this point where it stands, the girl now faces no more than 7 years in juvenile detention because she will be charged as a juvenile and not as an adult. And so it's important to know that that this is the determination that the judge has made. Um I think it's because of this new information. Oop, sorry.

[00:07:26]It looks like things kind of changed when this new information came up where KB was accused of sexual assault. um that victim um gave a statement on it and there's a video of it and apparently the vid the victim did not even know that it happened that the assault happened until KBB sent her the video of what he did to her allegedly while she was unconscious.

[00:07:57]Diabolical. All right, I thought we had something to see here, but it looks like it's going to play. Continue watching today's video. headlines. Let's see.

[00:08:12]All right. So, whatever. Explosive motive for execution style killing of high schooler emerges. His father erupts. A teenage couple allegedly killed the high school senior. Execution style over unproven rumor he graded someone cops have suggested. Cassandra Michael and Byron Randall wrangle chatted about the allegation against KB Quick before they allegedly gunned him down outside of McDonald's in Fresno of April 2025. And I should add that KB was Quick was never charged or criminally accused of taking advantage of anyone.

[00:08:48]Okay, he was never charged. The girl never went to the police. She never filed a police report. None of that.

[00:08:54]Let's keep going. The sex attack was said to have occurred a few weeks earlier after a house party in Clovis on April 13th. Testimony in a transfer hearing revealed multiple teenagers told investigators they had heard claims quick assaulted an intoxicated girl connected to a friend of the accused.

[00:09:10]The Fresno B reports the 18-year-old was shot in the back of the head in a parking lot outside the McDonald's allegedly by the two 16year-olds. The pair who were a couple have been charged with murder and prosecutors are weighing whether they can be tried as adults. Now listen, I personally believe that that is too premeditated what these kids did.

[00:09:30]And at the very least, the shooter should be charged as an adult. If you want to have mercy on the girl because she was the getaway driver, she was nowhere near the actual smurdering.

[00:09:38]Okay. But the shooter should be charged as an adult regardless of what is alleged that KBQ did at that party because once again, they weren't even directly connected to the victim. they were friends of a friend who's friends with the victim and they're hearing this information third party. The victim wasn't their relative, then I would definitely be like, we got to be lenient a little bit. The victim wasn't their best friend. The victim was a friend of a friend. So, let's keep going. We can't have these young folks thinking that they could be vigil vigilantes like this. But, let's keep going. During the testimony, detective Emily Eid said, "The alleged rape victim girl described Quick as someone who was like a brother to me." But this gets really bad because there's a lot of females who said that he is a sexual predator. But we can hopefully they'll get into it in this article. If not, I think I have another article that talks about it. Her counter investigates was inconsistent at times describing incident as an assault and at other times expressing uncertainty about whether she had consented and that's a problem, too. But let's keep going.

[00:10:42]Authorities said the girl had been drinking heavily and lost memory of what happened after falling asleep. Other teens believed she would be safe with Quick, who drove her home, according to detective Love Deep Mai. So, I guess he said he was going to drive her home when she was drunk. He ended up having sex with her. Police later recovered videos of alleged assault from Quick's phone.

[00:11:02]Mahi testified. I don't know how many he sent her, but they were extracted from his phone. Investigators also said Quick sent at least one video to the girl the following morning. Prosecutors are continuing to present evidence as they examine whether the allegations played a role in the killing. Quick's father strongly rejected any suggestion that the allegations could justify the killing. It's not a justification for this behavior. I agree with the father when he says that premeditated first-degree murder, Stephan Quick told the bee outside court on Friday. All right. So, you know, what he did definitely was not um did not in any way make him deserve death, but I definitely would have loved for that young lady to come forward and um and hold him accountable. I have no idea.

[00:11:49]Somebody said, "Why send the videos?"

[00:11:51]I'm not sure. I don't know if he sent the videos to taunt her or if or if she was like, "What happened last And he's like, "Look, we had consensual sex." And he sent her a video to show her that they were having sex. I'm not sure. I I have no idea what was the purpose of sending you having sex with somebody who's unconscious. But anyway, let's keep going. They acted on it like vengeance. They had 20 files to make this decision and whatever allegations they had against him, it was not within their authority to act on. That's why we have laws. He described his son who set to graduate high school as a good kid.

[00:12:23]The senior student who was shot in an alleyway near McDonald's and Clovis just weeks before graduation. Security video shown in court from a nearby shop and go captured quick leaving a restaurant with his friends. According to ABC30, one of friends held the door open for the alleged suspect as they exited.

[00:12:38]Authorities say the 16-year-old sister has been waiting in the area for at least 13 minutes before approaching Quick. The video then shows a slash a flash as the suspect opened fire. One of Quick's friends immediately rushed to help him while another called 911. The footage provides one of the clearest looks so far as to um what happened near one year after Quick's death. Now, there's another article I read where a female friend of Quick said Quick was her best friend and that he did threaten and and pressure her to have intercourse with him and she didn't want to.

[00:13:22]Let's see here. Teen getaway driving KBquick's death to remain in juvenile justice system. The teenage girl who is the accused getaway driver in the KBquick case. Let me see. Does it have an article here video here?

[00:13:36]>> Many other families that are in this whole state of California that we can get this stuff changed cuz it's not fair for the victims at all. There is no justice in this uh process. is just a huge amount of sympathy for kids that create these crimes.

[00:13:52]>> It's the answer to the question many Valley residents have been speculating for months. And now in a breaking news update, we've learned a teen girl accused as the getaway driver in the death of 18-year-old Caleb Quick will not be tried as an adult.

[00:14:04]>> Thank you for joining us.

[00:14:05]>> I'm just saying as a father of girls, man, don't be having don't be teaching your sons to go out there taking advantage of of drunk girls. You know, it's not cool either. And allegedly allegedly from what his female friend said, you know, pressuring her, you know, to have intercourse with him, it's not cool. It's really not cool behavior.

[00:14:27]Doesn't mean you deserve to die, but it definitely sullies one's name post-mortem. But let's keep going.

[00:14:37]>> And I'm Gracia Moreno. Today in a Fresno County courtroom, a judge ruled that teen girl will remain in the juvenile justice center without bail. Action News has been following this case every step of the way. It all began in April 23rd, 2025 when Caleb Quick was gunned down in a busy McDonald's parking lot at Willow and Knees in Clovis. 9 days later, police released surveillance video from inside the restaurant and identified a white Tesla as a suspected getaway car.

[00:15:05]Action News was there when investigators had that vehicle towed from a Clovis home and took the girl away in handcuffs. The shooter, however, remained on the loose for more than two weeks until May 9th, 2025, when the teen girl and a teenage boy were both arrested and charged with killing Caleb Quick. And last month on April 14th, a critical transfer hearing began to deter >> what you just already showed a good girl should be tried as an adult.

[00:15:36]>> Action News reporter Gabe Ferris was in the courtroom nearly every day of the hearing and he has been right there again today as the judge issued that same ruling.

[00:15:44]>> Gabe joins us now from the live desk with how it all played out. Gabe, >> Grace, and Christina. The ruling came just before 10:00 a.m. Attorneys had filed their written arguments with the court two weeks ago, but today was their final chance to sway the judge. The courtroom absolutely silent.

[00:16:02]In an extraordinary hearing, a Fresno County judge ruling on Friday that the teen girl accused in the death of Caleb Quick will not stand trial as an adult.

[00:16:12]Judge Kimberly Gabe issuing her decision after closing arguments. Defense attorneys saying the girl never intended for Quick to be killed. The boy alone fired the fatal shot, they said. But prosecutors say the girl too lied and wait, aided and abetted. She's accused of being the getaway driver in that white Tesla.

[00:16:29]>> So you guys understand that she's going to get whatever sentence they give her for the murder until she's 21 years old.

[00:16:37]And then after that, understand that her her record is going to be sealed. So she's not going to walk around as a murderer. Period. So, let's say your sons, whatever, who are teenagers now, when she gets out, let's say they walk down the street, they see this pretty girl. They're like, "What's up? Hey, how are you? How are you?" They start dating them and they marry this girl. Your son may never know that she was convicted of murder and did time in juvenile hall for murder. Because when she goes to file for a job, she puts no for criminal records. So when they say, "Have you ever been arrested and have you ever been convicted of a crime?" she's going to be advised by the state and by her attorneys, by both entities. Do not say yes.

[00:17:26]If she puts yes and they do a background check on it, they'll find nothing.

[00:17:29]They'll be like, "Why did you put yes?

[00:17:30]You you erroneously answered this.

[00:17:32]Change this to no." Cuz they'll find nothing. The only way they could figure out who she is if they Google her name.

[00:17:38]And since she's being charged as a juvenile, you can't really print her name. So, just know you know what the significance of that is. Now, if I'm the judge, I most likely would not have condemned her to life in prison for her role in this case, but I am more likely to to transfer the shooter to adult court. I'm more I am in the camp of I believe the shooter should probably go to adult court because his degrees of separation from the alleged victim of sexual assault which was his motive was too far away to justify what he did. Not that there's ever a justification for what he did but like when people when their relatives and their loved ones and the people that they care about them are victims of these horrible crimes sometimes they don't think clearly. So, if this was his sister or his best friend, then I would be much more lenient or open to possibly being lenient with the shooter and keeping it in juvenile court. But the fact that this was a friend of his friend that he didn't really know like that, no, that's a bridge too far. Let's keep going. after her boyfriend allegedly shot and killed Quick. "There is no question the facts of this offense are serious and the facts are extreme," the judge said. Judge Gabe keenly aware of the public's interest for 30 minutes going point by point, saying she knew it was emotional and wanted to explain herself.

[00:19:10]>> So, hold on here. Um, somebody asked in the chat, "Will she be able to buy a gun?" Yes, she is not a felon. She has no criminal record once she's once she's let out at 21. They have to seal and destroy the records.

[00:19:27]All records pertaining to this case is literally destroyed, shredded, burned, deleted in the computer. That's how that works. That's literally how it works. So yeah, she'll be able to get a gun.

[00:19:41]She'll be able to do whatever she wants.

[00:19:44]There are some jobs that will require you to sign a waiver that you disclose what you did as a juvenile.

[00:19:54]That's policing, which they can't hold it against you, but they still want to know. And that's if you want like top secret clearance and stuff like that for the the government, the US government, if you want to be in national security and stuff like that. Other than that, and there are some municipalities that they won't even let you sign that waiver. In New York, you got to sign a waiver and they can see what you did as a juvenile, but they can't hold it against you, but they can see.

[00:20:22]In some states, you can't even do that.

[00:20:24]It's like it doesn't exist anymore. Um, somebody also in the chat says that we need to do something about that just take it culture.

[00:20:33]We are doing something about it. I know I can't speak for all 50 states, but I know in New York, we'll send you to jail. I lock people up all the time for that. If I could prove it, you're going to jail.

[00:20:47]The thing is with these blackout rapes, a lot of times people will be cognizant, but they just don't remember it. And they'll be like, "Well, I did not consent to this person having intercourse with me." And then you watch the video and you see them attacking the person, which is crazy, right? you see them kissing and grabbing on the person's members and all that and dragging them to the cab and they don't remember any of that. In those cases, most of the time, unless there are other factors going on, that's not a case. But if you're incapacitated and somebody has intercourse with you in the state of New York, that is rape in the first degree, not the second or the third, the first.

[00:21:26]You doing 20 years, buddy. Let's keep going. She sided with prosecutors on the degree of sophistication and the gravity of the alleged crime, but said they failed to prove the girl could not be rehabilitated in the juvenile system. As a result, she said, "I am mandated to deny the motion.

[00:21:43]>> It's the decision we expected under California law."

[00:21:46]>> Defense attorney Jeff Hammershmid on Friday telling me the ruling is a major win. the biggest hearing in the case um and um really the most important decision in the case.

[00:21:58]>> With the transfer denied, potential punishment in juvenile hall must end by the time the girl turns 25. There will be no life prison sentence. She will walk free. Action.

[00:22:09]>> Oh, they they actually give them more time than in New York. Cuz in New York is 21, but over there is 25. So at least she could stay in prison for a little while, you know, in a secure juvenile facility for a little while. So they could technically she's like what, 16 now? Keep her in jail till she's 25.

[00:22:26]That's a nice chunk out of her 20s. So something, you know, we grabbing for straws, but it's something, right? In New York, she'd be out at 21 years old.

[00:22:35]But let's keep going.

[00:22:36]>> Legal analyst Tony Caposi saying the judge had to follow the law.

[00:22:40]>> What happens in Sacramento is far away.

[00:22:42]We're not in tune with it. But what happens and what final result comes out affects us in our everyday life.

[00:22:49]>> Through it all, the teen girl sitting in her white Nikes, her ankles shackled, looking straight ahead. There was no emotion, no reaction. Her parents just feet away. And on the other side of the courtroom, Quick's two parents and his family friends packing the gallery. Many of them wearing buttons.

[00:23:05]>> Who knows if she's going to do it again?

[00:23:07]There's no, you know, typical markers.

[00:23:08]You know, she grew up in a very fine home. um did well in school.

[00:23:13]>> More than a year now after Quick's death, his father Steve telling me the fight for justice continues.

[00:23:19]>> The judge went into great detail about Prop 57, all the different requirements.

[00:23:24]Um we got to get that law changed.

[00:23:28]>> Steve Quick there says he is now working on that reform. Meanwhile, the teen girl is due back in court in early June as her juvenile case now proceeds. It will likely be months, if not years, until the process for her case concludes.

[00:23:40]Grace, Christina, >> right?

[00:23:42]>> Gabe, thank you. And while we have you, you also learned today that prosecutors have a short >> So, what she needs to do is she needs to start participating in all the programs that they have to offer there in the juvenile facility. So, that when the case is concluded, they'll give her time served and she'll be like, "Yo, I'm a model citizen in the juvenile facility."

[00:24:01]And you know what? She probably get let out before she's 25.

[00:24:05]>> Window to appeal here. What is that timeline, >> Christina? Prosecutors have 20 days to appeal the judge's ruling today. And late this afternoon, just moments ago, we heard from the prosecutor on this case. Chief Deputy District Attorney Kendall Reynolds telling me he is still weighing whether to appeal.

[00:24:22]>> There's a lot of factors that go into that.

[00:24:23]>> Yeah, it's no, it doesn't make any sense for him to appeal because like they said, this is this is California and this is how their laws are. So, it's really a waste of time for him to appeal. He should just focus on the actual shooter.

[00:24:34]>> Um, you know, first and foremost, I respect this judge. Um, you know, that doesn't mean I can't be disappointed in the outcome, but I respect her. I respect her uh uh her ruling, but we'll take time to go through it and determine whether or not there is a viable claim to be made. And if there is, then we'll certainly discuss it as an office.

[00:24:50]>> An appeal possible, but not yet decided.

[00:24:52]>> That's right. And I also press the prosecutor there on what he could have done differently. Is there anything that he regrets? Plus, what today's ruling could mean for the teen boy and his transfer hearing. We have much more from our interview in just an hour from now.

Um, Action News has learned new details on fatal shooter 180 KB Quick outside of Clovis McDonald's with the attorney for the teenage suspect, suggesting the killing may have been motivated by allegations of sexual misconduct involving Quick. Attorney Mark Coleman, who represents a 16-year-old boy, charged in the April Shooting Center exclusive sitdown interview that the incident may have been provoked by what he described as an egregious harm allegedly committed by Quick. Um, it wasn't for money. It wasn't for personal benefit. K said it was avenging and egregious harm that occurred to someone else. Let's listen to this.

[00:25:48]>> Details in a Clovis killing. Action News is now learning more about what happened before the shooting at a Clovis McDonald's that left a young man dead and shocked the region. The attorney for the accused killer says he doesn't condone the alleged behavior, but believes the new information offers important context in this case.

[00:26:07]>> This event, if the if he is the one that committed it, was precipitated by some extreme provocation.

[00:26:27]>> It has been more than a month since Caleb Quick died in what prosecutors say was a public execution. And now the chief suspect's attorney is revealing key details that he says could make all the difference. The attorney stated some of that information in a juvenile court hearing for his client today and revealed much more during an exclusive interview with Action News reporter Gabe Ferris.

[00:26:47]>> Now, Gabe has been tracking this case for weeks and he joins us now from the live desk with what the attorney told him today in a story that you'll only see on Action News. Gabe >> Warren Gracielloa. The new details are serious and they came just hours before the accused killer was in court. The boy's attorney characterized what happened as an isolated incident, and he tried to use that today to get his client released. Despite the new details, though, a judge rejected it.

[00:27:14]After weeks of rumors in the case of Caleb Quick's murder, new details about the possible motive released for the first time to Action News.

[00:27:22]>> It wasn't for money. It wasn't um for personal benefit. It was avenging and egregious harm that occurred to someone else.

[00:27:34]>> Attorney Mark Coleman represents the 16-year-old boy who detectives say pulled the trigger, killing Quick at a Clovis McDonald's in April. He says police documents and firsthand accounts show the victim may have violated multiple girls. A key piece of evidence came from Caleb's phone dated April 14th. It shows a firsterson view of sex with a girl. That girl later told investigators she had blacked out and didn't remember consenting to sex or even having it until Caleb sent her that video.

[00:28:03]>> The motive for this crime, according to the police, um, is that someone knew of the rape and the videotape and they believed that Caleb had done this on a number of occasion and that he needed to be stopped >> and that someone is your client. That's what they're alleging. That remains to be seen.

[00:28:26]>> Coleman says it wasn't the first or only incident of that nature.

[00:28:29]>> It is believed that there was a pattern of behavior. Um, all I can say is that we know of at least two other incidents that are similar.

[00:28:39]>> Another girl told investigators of four sexual acts and police also spoke with several of Caleb's closest friends. One female friend told investigators he frequently slapped her and once pressured her into having sex. Another friend told police Caleb's behavior was wellknown and that there were several incidents.

[00:28:57]>> Bro, I told y'all guys, I told y'all.

[00:28:59]>> Oh my god.

[00:29:00]>> That's why I ain't want to cover this.

[00:29:02]People sent me the emails like, "Please cover the strategic." And I looked at the daddy on his website and on the news. And I'm like, man, I feel sorry for that dad, man. But there's more to this story. There's more to his story.

[00:29:13]Caleb was a bad boy. All his friends is saying that he was a rapist. Allegedly.

[00:29:21]That's what his friends say. I didn't say that. His friends said that. Hold on. Let's go back here so that so that the parents and and the relatives don't come in my inbox cursing me out because I'm disparaging their the legacy of their child. You I get these messages.

[00:29:36]People hit me up. They get mad at me cuz I'm the only one that's speaking the truth to power. I don't hold my tongue here on this platform. It's probably why we don't get a lot of views.

Let's lie and say." This is his friends, male and female. The males are reporting that they knew that he was this type of guy had this issue with exalt. The male suspect and his girlfriend were both at the McDonald's before the attack. They left so the boy could change into all black.

[00:32:14]Moments later, surveillance video shows him back at the restaurant. Police say he tracked Quick for 13 minutes before following him into the parking lot. We now know the suspect's girlfriend was inside the McDonald's at the time.

[00:32:27]Investigators believe she eventually slipped out into that white Tesla to drive away. I have a lot of questions, but I'll never get answers.

[00:32:56]On Wednesday, the shooting suspect denied the murder charge against him and a judge ordered him to stay in juvenile hall.

[00:33:19]We're told Caleb Quick's parents would have no comment on the new allegations laid out today. And we should note that none of this has been proven in a court of law. Prosecutors will not present their evidence for months.

[00:33:33]Um, I think we're going to leave it here cuz I think that pretty much tells the story of everything that we need to tell. Uh, this is a complicated story. I don't believe that Caleb Quick deserved to die. Not at all. Um, and I certainly think that there's a good case that his shooter should be charged as an adult and possibly spend the rest of his life in prison. But at the same time, I think I agree with the judge that the female getaway driver should be charged as a juvenile and face no more than 20 to then being incarcerated until she's 25 years old. Um, I think this is complicated and there seems to be a lot of mounting evidence that even though Caleb was never convicted of sexual assault, there were certainly rumors and allegations and victims who have been outcrying to authorities that Caleb had sexually assaulted them and even his friends allegedly his friends were reporting that this is something that he was known to do.
