[00:00:10]At first glance, it looks chaotic, twisted shapes, sharp edges, shadowy forms rising behind Jesus like something [music] out of a nightmare.

[00:00:19]But this sculpture was actually designed to represent Christ rising from the dead after a nuclear apocalypse.

[00:00:25]The massive bronze artwork sits inside the Vatican's Paul the sixth audience hall and was created by Italian sculptor Pericle Fazzini in the 1970s.

[00:00:38]Others think it looks more like the gates of hell than resurrection.

[00:00:42]And that's not the only creepy detail.
