In the 2020 US-China trade deal, while significant progress was made on trade agreements (including a Boeing deal for 200+ planes and soybean deals), the Taiwan issue remained a critical sticking point that was not resolved, with China's strategic need for oil from the Strait of Hormuz contributing to the stability of the relationship.

‘A big issue’: Future Trump-Xi relations likely to be defined by TaiwanAdded:
The president of course is back in America after his visit to China where he met with uh President Xi Jinping. Of course this was high stakes. I know that is said a lot in in the news but it really was the eyes of the world were were looking at this meeting. What did you make of it? What's your assessment?
Do you think that the president got the results that he would have been hoping for? I don't know Gabrielle if he got absolutely everything but it was really about the four T's. Trade, tariff, Taiwan and and Tyran. And what was important tradewise? as well. There was a huge Boeing deal, at least 200 Boeing planes and then more to come. And then of course the soybean deal. So I think you can check the box on trade good. Not maybe everything because there weren't any massive other trade deals. But those two data points were good. Of course the Boeing of CEO went with all of those global CEOs there. I do think Gabriella will see more on trade. Tariffs there was no really moving of the needle.
Taiwan is going to be the sticking point. 9,000 miles away from the US about I think it's nine or 10 miles away from uh China. So I think that's going to be a big issue for the future and I don't think the needle was really moved and Taiwan of course we saw the it being held off today. The Chinese really need the oil from the straight of Hammuz. So I do think it was I think it was stability. I think the world looked at it as nothing terrible happened and there was a degree of stability. So that's good. And last but not least, you know that when the the left sort of left leaning media and the Trump derangement syndrome crowd, if there had been anything terrible, they would have leapt all over that because we haven't heard from them shrieking from the ceiling.
There was nothing majorly negative.
>> Oh, that is a brilliant point, isn't isn't it? Because I think they were just waiting for something to go wrong, even something tiny that they could just, you know, be hysterical about it as they do.
Let's turn to the UK where over the weekend we saw tens of thousands of people turn out for the United the Kingdom rally. Now, Prime Minister Kharma claims that this rally was all about pedalling hate, labeling people there racist. Uh this is an insight into some of the people who are actually there.
>> Karma called the organizers of the Unite the Kingdom March thugs and racists, peddling hate and division.
>> Makes no sense. I've got I've got Asian friends. I've got black friends.
It's the immigration that's the problem.
>> We want the correct message being said on there, not the fake message that, you know, we hate everyone and we're racist cuz we're not. You know, >> I've not heard anyone say anything like that today.
>> No, not one bit. So, we want the correct message that we're just here for our country and everyone's united.
>> Yeah, I think those attacks just don't land anymore, do they?
>> Well, it's very sad that that's what he has to resort to. Gabriella, you're absolutely right. I don't think they land because he was talking to the people of his own country. I think this is really about who's going to really define what patriotism is. Is it going to be the globalists who say, "Oh, yes."
And and it's not about immigrants. It's about illegals just like it is in the US. I always say I'm an immigrant to the US. Um it's not about immigration. It's about illegal migrants. That's what the difference is. Huge distinction. And they're not coming to assimilate into what was always known as British culture. And I think that's the big issue. Assimilation and the those that are coming illegally. And that when that sign that we're looking at there, we want our country back. I think that's it. And then I think one of the issues has been the great decency of the British people by accepting so many people for so many years. And what you saw in Intrafala Square recently with the imams and all of the the Muslim prayers session there with that Sadi Khan attended and yet the British are not allowed to fly the Union flag which we're seeing waved there and the cross of St. George because that's considered racist. That's when you know there's issues in a a country. And last but not least, I saw interviewed a number of ex-military people, a black lady who had served in the military, and she said, "I'm not racist. I serve my country, but they're not assimilating." And she summed it up. They're simply not assimilating into British culture.
>> This is where it's just so embarrassing for Kia Star. I mean, he goes on social media delivering a video kind of slamming the organizers of this protest.
And then you actually hear from people who are out protesting and they're everyday ordinary Brits that care about their country, that care about the future of Britain. Um, as for Kama, it seems it's not a matter of when uh, sorry, not a matter of if, but when Stal will actually go, but he's holding on. I mean, he's insisting that he's not going anywhere. He's refusing to set a timetable for his departure amid growing pressure over Labour's collapsing poll numbers. Here he is.
>> I've said, I don't know how many times that I'm not going to walk away. I feel very strongly that um I must serve the people who voted me into office. Do I recognize that we've got to turn things around over the after those election results? Yes, of course I do. I do want to fight the next uh election.
>> Hillary, we've been speculating around this for for some time now, but how crucial is this week, do you think for Starama?
>> I think this week is absolutely crucial.
And one of the things he's also said, Gabriella, is that he said he doesn't want the country to be plunged into chaos. Well, the country is in chaos right now. It's in chaos. You can see those marches. And by the way, they said there was just a couple hundred thousand. They it stretched for miles. I think it was far higher than that. But he he's causing chaos just by this alone. And I believe at least as of Friday, I think it was 83 of his his MPs have said that they want him to step down. That's there are hundreds more.
They 83 is a large number. I think one of his greatest mistakes from the outset was that he felt that he had and they the Labour party thought they had a mandate. No, it was a protest vote against the Conservatives. They failed to deliver and now he's failing and he needs to go and he knows that he needs to go but he's holding on for I I believe for his own ego not for the good of the country.
>> I completely agree with you there uh his ego. It's unbelievable to watch. What about the concerns over digital ID? I mean how concerned are people over this in over digital ID in the UK? because we know that Stalmer's government is planning to roll out a digital ID scheme by the end of uh the current parliament.
That's uh surely raising some huge concerns around privacy and the big brother is watching.
It's yes, absolutely intrusive, Gabriella. And the thing is that people can actually say, well, I'm for this if it's their their leaning government.
What if it's your opposing whatever your politics are you're the opposing government who decides to shut you off because you have a certain view and the the control it goes very well and of course going back to 1984 but I don't think what we actually thought of we always thought government would control everything now social media does and all of the media platforms but when they're rolled up into also this government ID they will be able to see everything that everybody opts into from your own valition as well as what the government wants to control with absolutely no um freedom whatsoever. And I think if the country is the bastion of freedom, it's hypocrisy at the highest.
>> Yeah, absolutely. I want to speak to about the royals. If you could bring us up to speed on uh Andrew Mountbettton Windsor, the former prince, he's always believed he's entitled to taxpayer funded security. This is according to a royal commentator uh that has been reported on GB News. So, the current security predicament, I suppose, leaves the royal family in an uncomfortable position. Hillary, what's the latest with this?
>> Well, yes, actually, because there was a well actually not an attack on him because luckily they actually did get away, but there was a man in a balaclava hat and I believe a pipe and he was chasing him and that was up in where he's staying up by Sandringham in one of the the farms there. And what the prince ob former prince Andrew Andrew wants obviously he wants security, he wants protection. He has now um protection funded by King Charles. really he is under some degree of what we would consider house arrest. He really can do nothing. He's also been told not to ride his horses because of course remember when he was down at Windsor he was pictured gallivanting around the Windsor estate on his horses. So really he only has his own company his video games and from what I understand from people who know people who know people he spends most of every hour of every day just watching video games and watching he has this fascination with watching planes taking off and landing. That's what he's doing. Wow. Finally, before I let you go, I actually want to ask you about an Australian story because last Friday, a biological man who identifies as a woman successfully sued the women only app, A Giggle for Girls, for discrimination.
And he's had his uh compensation claim doubled to $20,000 after the full federal court ruled that the biological man was discriminated against on the basis of gender identity. Now, the giggle for girls CEO Sal Grover, she's been on Sky News quite a few times since this result. She's demanded that Australian politicians moved to pass laws that actually reflect reality after this outcome. She says that this is, you know, a terrifying decision and are really a reality for all Australians to be a terrifying, I suppose, reality for all Australians to be faced with. And I completely agree, Hillary. I'm really interested to get your thoughts on on this decision.
Well, with all that money, maybe that um transgender former man woman can use it for his birth control and maybe an abortion if he gets pregnant or something. Um it's absolutely ludicrous.
And I think what you saw at the Olympics when you saw the athletes there with a a broken nose, more of this is going to happen if judges can't see and understand different genders. And I was actually about this particularly as I'm a golfer when there was a a male golfer who transitioned and competed in a tournament. And what I said in that instance was okay well they can go through this transitioning with the muscles taken out of their back with the muscles taken out of their hands with their hands made smaller and their feet made smaller every single part of a male is bigger and stronger with more testosterone. And for the safety of women that's the biggest issue. What I'd like to know is since this is a left-leaning issue, Gabriella, where are the left standing up for actually women's right and girls? I find it very frightening and frightening for the Australian people.
>> Completely agree. Hillary Ford, president and founder of Stmmark. Thank you so much for your time. Brilliant to speak with you.
>> Pleasure. Absolutely, Gabriella. Thank you.
