Rabbits go through three distinct developmental stages: from birth to 12 weeks (like children 0-8 years old), they are highly impressionable and moldable, making this the ideal time for handling, socialization, and building trust; from 13 weeks to 9-10 months (teenage years), they become opinionated and emotional, requiring patience and relationship building rather than forced training; and from 9-10 months onward (adulthood), they become calmer and more regulated, making them excellent students but requiring earned trust for cooperation. Early groundwork during the impressionable stage makes later relationship building easier, while adult rabbits can still develop strong bonds with patience and consistency.

Rabbit DevelopmentAñadido:
Here's how I view rabbits developmentally from birth to about 12 weeks. Think of them like a child that's 0 to 8 years old. You want to pick them up. You want to insert whatever culture that you want them to have. They're very flexible. They're very moldable. They're very spongy.
Introduce them to things. Throughout the teenage months, it won't be the whole time. 13 weeks to 9 months, 10 months, those are your teenage months. That's where you're just trying to get along.
They have a lot going on. They have a lot of opinions. They have a lot of feelings. Try not to create resentment.
And then once they become adults, about that 9 10 month mark, think of them 18 to 25 to 30. They're just becoming adults. They're just becoming calm and regulated. They make excellent students, but they'll also not trust everything.
You really have to earn their trust in order to get cooperation.
