[00:02:01]Siddharth, you've been tracking the updates as they are unfolding in the BRICS foreign ministers meeting. We just heard from Abbas Araqchi say that Iran is ready to supply India with its energy requirements. What are the big takeaways that you're looking at in the press conference that's just concluded?

[00:02:22]Again, press conference that Iranian foreign minister gave here in Delhi. And uh essentially several topics talked about whether it's the talks with Americans. The clear message is that the Iranians cannot trust the Americans.

[00:02:33]When it comes to energy, and the fact that India the Iranian side is willing to offer energy sources to uh the Indian side, but it depends on the Indian side primarily because there are sanctions.

[00:02:43]And the big question is that will India be open to buy? And also on Chabahar, terming it as a golden gate for uh uh the connectivity aspect. So, these are the uh the key plus areas, but essentially the fact that the Iranian foreign minister came to Delhi shows a long-standing close relationship between India and Iran. And this is especially emphasized on uh several aspects during the press conference talking about how the relationship has been uh very historic uh a relationship that is civilizational.

[00:03:16]And uh the focus from the Iranian side is to continue on uh engagement. In fact, in response to a question that do he does the Iranian side see India playing an important role in the peace in West Asia? He clearly said that uh the the fact that India enjoys a good reputation means that uh they do see India playing an important role. And India has friends both in north and south of Hormuz. So, essentially all in all an important press conference uh talking about every aspect possible.

[00:03:45]Absolutely, indeed. So, India and Iran share not just historical but also civilizational ties. And an important statement there by the Iranian foreign minister who is currently in India for the BRICS foreign ministers meeting.
