[00:00:08]Larger than the Empire State Building and over 340 m wide, it will come within just 31,000 km of our [music] planet, closer than many satellites and GPS systems.

[00:00:19]Billions of people may be able to see it with the naked eye as it moves across the [music] sky. When scientists first discovered Apophis, they feared it could collide with Earth with the force of thousands of nuclear bombs.

[00:00:31]New calculations show it will safely miss [music] us, but its close approach could slightly change its orbit and affect its future path when it returns in the 2060s.
