The British monarchy faces a significant generational crisis, with only 30% of 18-24 year olds believing the monarchy is good for Britain, compared to 77% approval among those over 65, indicating a concerning trend as the younger generation will become the majority of the electorate within a decade.

Another emotional support poll. Only 30% of young people believe the monarchy is good for the UKAjouté :
So, they've brought out another emotional support poll and they do this when maybe they've done an engagement that they think, "Oh my god, the whole of the UK should be dazzled by or maybe when they think, okay, Harry and Megan are getting too much attention. We need to put them down a peg or two and show everyone how unpopular they are." So, we know that the emotional support poll is never far away. at least once or twice a week, sometimes once or twice a month, but we know it always coincides with when something has been done either by the family or by Harry and Megan. So anyway, these particular polling numbers um I'm going to talk about about them today because I think they need to be placed against the week that preceded their publication. So 62% of British people support the monarchy. I think that's a fudged figure. I do not believe that. I think it's near a 45% if I am Yeah, because again and I'll show you why.
Again, the same figures will show you why by the way. Um so um so uh 62% of according to them 62% of Britain's um support the monarchy and that is the headline number and it sounds reassuring and if you then look at the generational breakdown the story is not as reassuring as the headlines would have you believe and this is an institution that depends on continuity. So amongst 18 to 24 year olds only 30% say that the monarchy is good for Britain and 42% want a republic. I think it's higher than that. I my instinct tell me about 55% of 18 to 24 year olds want a republic and that includes the right-wingers by the way and only 34% of 18 to 24 year olds think that the royal family is good value for money while 47% say it is bad value.
Well that says a lot doesn't it? So yeah, I feel that these are the young people that are going to be the majority of the British electorate within a decade and the 77% approval among over 65s represents a demographic whose numbers will decline. I even feel that amongst the over 65s, I don't think the approval is around 77%. I think it's nearer the 57 to 60%.
And I think that even the over 65s are looking at their pensions being taxed, are looking at not being able to afford anything on the rubbish pension that they're getting.
Again, I should know. And they are thinking, why on earth are we paying those freeloaders?
And remember the over 65s also represent the people that remember the Diana Charles Camila triangle debacle and they also remember the Randy Andy Fergie divorce debacle. So I think these numbers um among the over 50 65s may not even be a true representative cuz I want to know the polling size. I want to know who they pled and I want to know their political affiliations. But anyway, let's carry on. So I think that at the end of the day, the 30% approval among the youngest adults that represents the direction of travel because the over 65s, yeah, I mean something's going to take, you know, all of us at some point.
You know, there's no point in hiding it.
But my point is amongst the young people that they have been trying and failing to get on side, this is still the poll, the numbers that the polls show. And we know that the other brother um he announced that he'll be selling 20% of the duche to fund affordable housing and environmental projects. and he described um the whole process of what he's doing right now as learning as we go. And at the same time, like I said, he did his best to try and show competence. And unfortunately, his own team did him dirty by posting the Wreck-It Ralph um photos of him gripping the air above a nail and not even being able to grip a hammer properly. And to me, that is as unre as unrelatable as you can get. We also know that he appeared on heart radio talking about jam fingerprints and Taylor Swift wedding invitations and all that malarkey. But at the end of the day, the one thing that young people are is not stupid because they see his track record of not working. They know that he missed the opening of state um the state opening of parliament and he's attended three football events in 7 days including a private jet to Istanbul while his wife quoted Bob the Builder got her photo op and won an award for literally just turning up. So this is the very week in which imagine they've done all that activity which is unusual for them and despite all that activity this is what the polls are showing particularly amongst young people. There is an authenticity gap. I've spoken about it in other videos I've done.
People know when you are performing.
People know when it's all about the optics. People know people who truly care and also all this activity is costing them nothing personally. There is no heart. There is no personal involvement. There is no passion. It's more like well you know this is what we're doing. You know aren't we amazing for doing this for you guys. Whereas people like Megan and Harry, we know that they have paid a heavy price with their families, with the press, with the establishment, with members of the public, and yet they are sticking to their principles. In fact, I even believe that King Charles for all his numerous faults, he has also paid the price for his beliefs, for his beliefs um organic farming, sustainability, the environment, things even commercializing um the duche and also he was brave and bold enough to reveal that he pays t you know what his taxes are. He actually revealed it as in tax on the duche, not the money on suitcases and that sort of thing. We know he's got dodgginess there. But my point is at least he's attempted to be open and do something and he's paid some sort of price because even the papers, they've called him barmy. They've called him mad. He talks to plants. He wants us to be organic.
He's a hippie. They've said all that about him. But when you have a couple whose um whose mission in life is for the optics and also to appear squeaky clean, what you've done is you've literally washed away any sense of authenticity. You're so busy trying to present them as perfect, as never and never putting a foot wrong, as being this and being that. Whereas the reality is that they are lazy. They hardly do enough engagements to qualify as part-time royals. And we know they were behind all the press um uh what's the word? I don't want to say well abuse of Harry and Megan. We know that you know the institution signal to the press that you can go after Harry and Megan. You can say whatever you like about Megan in particular, but you know, you need to be nice and say lovely things about the other brother and the other girl.
And we've had reporters come out and say all the negativity going towards the Sussexes has come from the palace. And there's a journalist that said when she was working in newsrooms, all the negativity towards Harry and Mega came Harry and Megan. Oh, she's Mega anyway.
All the negativity going towards Harry and Megan came from Kensington Palace.
So at the end of the day um people think and again this is not me. People think that maybe the monarchy and the royals are just con artists because ever since the late Queen Elizabeth died um a significant proportion of the population under 35 appears to feel um that it's all a con that why we paying them what value do they bring? Um we know the other girl with her early years nearly 10 years of saying the same thing of factf finding being keen to learn um and yet nothing.
What is the tangible benefit that has brought to the children of the United Kingdom? How have the outcomes for the children of the United Kingdom? How have those outcomes been improved? Have they changed? Those are things we should be looking at. And at the end of the day, the right-wing base that traditionally provided the most vocal institutional support has watched the other brother announce green energy and affordable housing programs and develop the language of social impact and purpose-driven business. And in doing so they have found him insufficiently conservative for their tastes because they were so busy appealing to the right-wing that the right wing has now rejected them. And then on the other hand, you have the left wing. And the left wing, you know, they tend to find things like purpose-driven philanthropy appealing. But they have noted that the duche was actually charging lifeboat stations and the NHS and that the affordable housing announcement came after public scrutiny. So even the left wing are put off. The right-wing are put off. So the monarchy happens to be in no man's land. So this is why those numbers are shockingly low. Those approval numbers are shockingly low amongst the 18 to 24 year olds. So at the end of the day, what the other brother has managed to do is generate skepticism in both directions. So the leftwing do not like him and the rightwing do not like him.
And at the end of the day, if all you can give us via one of your most trusted sources in the times is, oh, we are learning as we go, you are 43 43.
When are you going to learn?
