Missile interceptions in northern Israel amid growing concern of a ‘Lebanese quagmire’

[00:00:00]Video footage has emerged from inside Israel showing what appears to be a missile interception. The video shows the moment it happened as school children were boarding a bus. Another video shows smoke rising from a location nearby and it began after an object fell from the sky. We're going to cross now to N Ode who is near Ramala in the occupied West Bank. [00:00:26]Well, Rob, the most significant of those incidents was in Shira in northwest uh Israel where an Israeli um military armored vehicle uh was struck. It had quite a large quantity of ammunition.

[00:00:41]The Israeli army says 12 soldiers were injured. And just in the past few minutes, we also heard saw a statement from the Israeli army saying that one soldier was killed and another moderately wounded in um combat.

[00:00:55]According to the statement in southern Lebanon, other incidents in inside Israel were limited. There was uh one reported interception in Miss Gavam also in northern border community. And this is really where the Israeli army is deployed. There are thousands of Israeli soldiers. If they're not deployed directly in the occupied part of southern Lebanon, then they are in the border towns and that's why where they're being attacked. Uh tell us about the current appetite, the current opinions in Israel with regard to what the Lebanese president Joseph Hon is asking for, which is to stop the fighting to make way for further talks.
