Epcot's Living with the Land attraction showcases innovative sustainable agriculture techniques developed by scientists from Epcot and the US Department of Agriculture, including nutrient film systems that produce over 27,000 heads of lettuce annually in small spaces, aquaponic systems combining fish farming with plant cultivation, and integrated pest management using natural predators like ladybugs and wasps to reduce chemical pesticide use, demonstrating how modern agricultural practices can increase food production while minimizing environmental impact.

The American prairie once appeared as desolate as the desert. But over time, rain water and nutrients gradually penetrated the hard surface of this land. Even the hooves of the mighty buffalo helped create the rich soil. One day they come home to the American farm.
Of all the forces at work on the land, humans have had one of the most profound effects. The need to produce food for a growing world led to the enormous use and sometimes overuse of the land. In our search for more efficient ways to control pests across Canada.

In Japan, we're learning that by mixing leaves and other living materials into our soil, we can make farmland more fertile without the need for chemicals.
Here at Epcot, we're learning to reduce the need for chemical pesticides by breeding and using natural predators like ladybugs and wasps to control pest.

The tropics are home to the greatest diversity of plants on the planet. Many of these like papaya, bananas, cacao, coffee, and rice are well known around the world.
These are just a few of the edible plants that have been an important source of nutrition for people living in the tropics. Many are rich in vitamins and minerals, while others are well adapted to growing in less than ideal conditions.
Some like the water thrive in wet sloppy areas and water. All parts of this plant, even the flower petals are edible. The starchy root of the plant has long been to make for one day lesserk known as the bananas growing on both sides of the boat.

While there are more than 50,000 edible plant species in the world, most of us are only familiar with the handful that make up our everyday diet. The common grains growing here, wheat, mazize, sorghum, and millet, plus rice, account for nearly 2/3 of our global food consumption. Learning how to increase yields of these staples is an important goal of research around the world.
These plants are definitely on their way up. Innovative growing techniques like these increase yields while more efficiently using resources like water, fertilizer, and pesticides. Another innovation at work here is our integrated pest management program by populating our green houses with beneficial insects that prey on harmful pests like fully seated at all times.
Please remain fully seated inside the boat at all times.

I don't The future of agriculture may include innovative ideas like this vertical growing system. Plants grown in this way use a fraction of the space required by traditional growing methods. That saves water and increases production. The aquaponic system on your left combines hydroponics with aquaculture. The fish provide a natural source of fertilizer for the plants and the plants help keep the water clean for the fish. It's another great way to produce more while using less.
In our lab, Epcot scientists are working with the US Department of Agriculture on a number of innovative projects. The goal of these efforts is to produce higher yielding and better quality plants.

No, no, cap. We're about 3 hours out from that. Three and a half.
>> I'll be there by 11.
at the latest and then probably leave out 12:30.
But uh now that you're all here, we'll do a quick uh update on what's going on for the week cuz this is going to throw everybody off. At least not Thursday.
But tomorrow we're at Magic Kingdom from Festival Fantasy through Double Starlight tomorrow. That's why we're here today at Epcot. Actually, we're going to go to Universal tonight, but um there's no show tonight. So, um, yeah, we haven't seen Cinnabon Station in a while. I know it's not called Cinnabon.
I just call it that. I always think of like Universal and Cinnabon. I don't know why there's a lot of them there.
Uh, so today, Epcot, tomorrow, Magic.
It's like 8 n hours tomorrow. Uh Thursday, we're going to do Thursday as usual. Uh over at Hollywood Studios, which should start somewhere, I think around 4:00 I think was the suggested time. We were me and Tyler trying to figure these things out so we can link them better. Uh see, Friday, we got 12 hours of magic. Saturday, no stream at all. There will be no streaming on Saturday. There'll be a vlog out. It'll be a home vlog, but no, no stream. And then Sunday back at Magic until 5. And then the rest of the evening we'll be at EP uh Hollywood Studios for Fantasmic. There's only one Fantasmic on Sunday. It's at 9:00. And uh we are going. There's no staying at Magic on Sunday. I have to be over at Hollywood. So uh so we'll be at Magic from pretty much 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
5:30. Maybe we'll watch the ho down and then Yeah. So, there you go. I want to do all that before we go inside here cuz sometimes we lose signal in this building.
There you go.
>> Uh there's also going to be a vlog dropping tomorrow.
>> No, it's not.
>> Come here. Come here. Doesn't matter actually.
>> You can just go this way. It's a lot easier and safer.
>> A lot of people had questions about the St. Louis, Kansas City, Disneyland vlog. It's coming out tomorrow morning, 9:00 a.m.
I told you guys it would drop Wednesday.
Still dropping Wednesday. No change of plans on that.
I actually just finished editing that before I got here.
>> What is a Tyler Ch exactly?
>> What is a Tyler?

>> Bye, guys.
>> Awesome. Thank you.
Uh, this ride will have a sunglass so no connection interruptions throughout the ride, especially once we get to the smell room.
>> The stink lab smell tastes like chicken.

>> Hello. On your tour, you'll see how the five human senses can help capture your imagination.
>> Oh. Oh, come on. Go too.
>> Absolutely not. Uh, this is one of our discoveries, the figment of imagination.
>> Yeah, I know all about the senses.
There's sight, sound, smell, touch, coochie, coochie go, and taste.
Yeah. Taste my chicken. Can I go?
Please, please, please.
>> No, I don't want you out of my sight.
>> Out of sight. Okay, come on everybody.
Here we go.
>> Pigment, you are not to interfere with the tour.
>> Our first stop is the sound lab. We'll begin by testing your hearing with a series of tones.
Left ear, right ear, left, right?
What? This is odd. Um, hello.
>> Hello.
>> Who is this?
>> It's Figment.
>> Figment? I thought I told you not to interfere.
>> But you've got it wrong, Doc. It's not about listening with your ears. It's about listening with your imagination.
>> Now I've completely lost my train of thought.
>> No, you haven't. It's over here.
All aboard.
Next stop, imagination.
For every sound, your ears are hearing a thousand thoughts can start appearing.
And each of us imagine different things from just the sound. Your mind has wings.
by using the eye chart to test your vision. Now all together if you would please >> your eyes but imagine what you could see if you used your imagination.
Follow the bouncy pigment.
What spark of light can your fancy see?
Your mind sees more than what your eyes see. Your sense of sight can make your fancy.
Just turn your imagination loose and anything can happen.
>> Imagination, especially when pleasant, familiar smells come to play.
>> Come to play. I love you.
>> This is not a good time.
>> It's always a good time to use your imagination. So, let the good times roll.

that kind of hurt.
>> You know, I'm sorry, but after that big stink in the smell lab, I hesitate to send you into the touch and taste labs.
Perhaps I should end my open house right here.
>> Great idea. We'll go to my open house instead. It's much more fun. Right this way, everybody.
>> What is going on? You're turning this entire open house upside down.
>> Upside down? Now you're talking. That's the best idea you've had all day.
was just a spark of inspiration.
I made my house and innovation imagination around and upside down.
Imagination is a brain.
Imagine it's time to get back to the institute.
>> Well, if you can't beat them, join them.
We all have sparks.
>> Imaginations.
That's how our minds create creation.
>> We set them free and know what they can do.
>> Those magic sparks from me and you.
>> You see, I knew you'd get it cuz you've got a wonderful imagination.
>> I do. Oh, yes.
Thank you, Figment.
And so, as you can plainly see, imagination works the best when it's set free.
>> You said it, Doc. Imagination is a blast.
>> Imagination.
Imagination.
A dream. A dream. A dream come true.
One little spark of inspiration in the heart of creation.

>> That was that was a whole experience. I was like, man, I need a sweater out here.
>> I didn't wear one because, you know, I was enjoying it, but that she just smashed it in there and gets perfect shape.

You enjoy it. Don't forget to subscribe to the channel. It's free to do.
Hey, basic builder.
Hey Paul, good to see you again.
on.
>> Yeah.
No, no, they're at Hollywood this morning.
For those who haven't checked my Instagram, Ronald Go on Instagram, I was at Hollywood Studios this morning uh for uh Rock and Roller Coaster, the overall ride, the overall ride, not the actual ride itself, but just like the overall like the building, the line, the queue, do the pre-show.
It's great. I I like the little hints towards Muppet Vision 3D. You got a minute and a half, all the balder and all that. Yeah, loved all that.
>> Definitely enjoyed it.
>> Okay.
Oh man. Yeah, Timothy Young, good to see you. And uh it's that heat that heat burning everybody. Um but the ride feels pretty much the same. I don't know. You know, you go into your loop and you get your your rolls and stuff like that.
>> Um I mean, the ride's the same ride. It didn't change the actual ride. Uh just did the overall theme, but there's still like the Hollywood sign, some stuff, but like the actual like merchandise. Oh man, I can get a Swedish chef now.
There's like a whole Muppets, you know, merchandise line. I like Swedish chef. I think he's pretty cool. Uh he speaks my language, which is a bunch of no noises and tones.
I I got uh I think it was born to be wild or something like that on my ride. Born >> or No, it wasn't that one. It was the other one. Song two. Whatever. Song two was this is China.
My son wants to go to China.
>> So I offered to take him to Epcot.
>> And he said, "No, Dad. I want to go to real China."
I said, "You need to learn how to walk.
>> We go to China."
>> He'd be tired in Japan after the walking just what we did.
It's like h fine.
>> I tricked my dog.
>> It went fast and not upside down.
I mean, most Disney coasters don't go upside down. I think what they got, but Incredic Coaster and we have uh Rock and Roller Coaster, the only two in the US.
Then they have the 360 one over in uh Tokyo.
No basic builder, but it was cool. I like uh I like the pre-show, you know, where you used to get your backstage passes. Uh they still, you know, put We should give them as Hey, Spicy as one of the daughters.
It was evil.
That's funny.
It's good. Disney 50, good to see you.
But I like the like the the minute and out. Of course. That's like one of my favorite parts of the Muppet Vision 3D was like, "You got a minute and a half."
That was hilarious. Yeah. So, it's a nice night. It looks great out here. I mean, look at those clouds over there.
Mark Luca, I'm sure you have stories of things of your like, >> oh yeah, story time with Mark Luca would be definitely interesting.
Also want to thank everybody for all the the wonderful orders. Shel was just so surprised and everybody we're hoping everybody likes the new website layout.
Time to grab some water.
Wrong time.
Ow.
Oh, look.
What?
Got it.
The birds are here.
You look down at you like you said.
So in about 3 minutes the flame is going to kick on.
LG Jeep, good to see you.
>> And when the flame kicks on, all the birds didn't start flying around in a frenzy.
>> I mean, they're already flying around like crazy, but Come on.
One time in a life.
Wake up.
Okay, they're back though.
>> I'm sorry. I didn't know you were trying to take >> Yeah, I have.
>> Okay, we're good. We're good. We're good.
It's nice out. You know, that's what I was thinking. Goof the eyes of Sauron are everywhere.
Tower man.
>> I don't know. It's just this area. The rest of the Epcot doesn't have birds.
But this spot right here All right, the flame's going to light in less than a minute.
30 minutes coming up for Luminous.
Good night and welcome to World Showcase.
>> They're a little calmer tonight than the other.
We invite you to experience the simp.
>> So that tree just empties all the birds out and the safety of those around you.
Please refrain from sitting, standing or climbing on any railings around the water.
Thank you. And get ready because tonight's performance of Luminous, the Symphony of Us, begins in just 30 minutes.
>> What?
>> Store time.
What are we buying?
Some rock ice.
I never >> I still have barges parked in the lagoon.
The Stargate non-S Stargate still barges parked out there.
It's uh >> n that just bad planning on their part to put something out there so massive and yet not have it do anything else but the nighttime show.
I try to see if they got new ones in here.
So instead of it just sitting out there, they could have done like >> every other hour or something do like a water show or with the screens or something, keep people's interest in the world showcase. Instead, they just let them sit out there all day and just say 50th anniversary. It was it was just bad bad planning.
By the way, these are really good. And I was told not to bring these home again because how good they are and how quickly they disappeared.
I had two.
>> Yeah, I had two of them.
>> Yeah.
Chocolate covered caramel >> according to this James. It's not. It says there's four servings in a bag, which is five. So, there's only 20 pieces in here if that's the math on it. Yeah, I can do four servings per bag.
One serving is five pieces. So therefore, there's 20 in a bag. I got two.
Also, this has changed. This wasn't all popcorn before. This is also more of these candies, and they've changed that.
>> But you could win a Disney World.
Kawaii.
>> Ah, it's the pickled dice tree.

My bad. Just a second. Joy. Peace and joy. Look at the detail on this ornament. It's got like all kinds of ridges. Either way, I'm sorry. I'm easily distracted. Uh, thank you so much for the $10 super chat for snack time.
And you know what we did today? Uh we as the family, we as the royal we like all four of us went to the grocery store, which is never a smart idea when it's the entire family cuz we agree on buying things we probably shouldn't buy. Um either way, did anybody else know that public chicken is 99 cents a pound for chicken breast? I'm just saying like we bought a lot of chicken today.
We bought 8 lbs of chicken breast today.
It cost us $8.70.
Either way, uh, that was weird. We were like, uh, and the lady behind us is like, why are you getting so much chicken? I'm like, did you see this? And she goes, no, I'm going to give me some, too. And I was like, yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Um, but we got uh the the family wanted a bunch of uh what are those? What would you do for a clown? Yeah, Klondike bars.
There we go. Have to sing the song. You got to sing the You got to sing the song for a Klondike bar. Either way, they wanted uh Tanner wanted Oreo Klondike bars and I think we got Crunch for I unfortunately do not eat ice cream very often. Soft serve. Yes. Actual like other ice cream. Not really. Like Disney crew soft serve. What's up? I'm I'm about to ruin my day.
>> I try not to talk about it too much.
We'll probably talk about it during story time. I'll explain more about the ice cream and stuff later.
>> Oh, did you? That's funny.
>> They were on sale. They're like, "Buy one, get one." We were like, "Done.
>> Let's get 12 Klondike bars."
>> Uh, today we did burgers on the Blackstone.
>> It's Mark. the same schedule next week.

>> Japan has a more like a zen garden style setup.
But is, you know, that's a good point.
You know, the way Japan is set up with the trains literally being everywhere in the in the cities and everywhere. So, I mean, I guess they could use some trains in there.
Is that a duck? Oh, I thought I heard a duck. I was like, what is that noise?
Maybe it is a duck.
Either way, Almost time for the hot tub remix.

>> Welcome.
Welcome.
Everyone on this earth is part of the great symphony of us. Each of us a unique instrument playing harmony to one another.
Parts. It's our unified heartbeat that connects us, reminding us that we are more alike than we are different. A rap city of rhythms that unites us and connects us through commonalities of the heart.
Come find your place in the great symphony of us.
Can you hear the sound of world in motion?
Move through the trees, the signs of the ocean.
Can you feel the beat of a million hearts all the time?
And the sun and the moment in the picture I remember you are a part of me and I am a part of you just like a symphony different meies within heart of me.
So go ahead and sing your song. I'll be there to sing along together.
Oh, heat, heat.
Yeah.
Heat.
Heat. Heat. Heat.
When we are born, we come into this world a raw noise cradled in tenderness. We tune ourselves to the world around us.
Come stop your crying. It'll be all right.
Just take my hand, hold it tight.
will be my heart.
Yes, he'll be my sh so you holding. And you see this one between I will be here just in my heart.
We begin to understand what our instrument can do.
We find our voice.
and added to the ensemble of our ancestors, our family.
I will cover forever of my crown.
We begin to recognize for music in others. Trading notes and improvising.
Music becomes play.
Heat.
Heat.
Can you feel the love Sometimes we find another and our melodies blend and suddenly with the hum of our heart strings our world becomes a duet.
>> You're in my arms and all the world is calm.
The music playing on the for only two.
So close together and everything.
So close to feeling alive.
Oh this world know we know we so Close.
So close and still so far.
Inevitably in life the accompaniment drops out and we experience great loss.
We find that the melodies we cherish are gone.
And for a moment we are playing alone.
When somebody loved me, everything was beautiful.
And when she was happy, so was I.
When she loved Quer than me. When somebody loved me, we made everything was beautiful.
>> Every hour together with my heart.
We had each other.
She and I was like when she loved me, but we are never truly alone.
Sing out so others can hear you.
The music we make echoes back at us in chorus, in concert, in symphony.
Together, our voices can illuminate the world.
If we only listen closely for the sounds of each other.
Heat. Heat. Heat.
feel all at once. Everything is different now that I found you.
>> How miraculous that we exist on this planet at the same time.
now that I love you.
>> And yet it's the human connection that unifies us.
A pulse of being like gravity.
The real is all around a pledge. A common friend connects us in the unifying sound like the coming of a steady spinning of the sun. The beating of our hearts and go straight up to the stars for all the world to hear. They never fail.
Steady already. Can you feel it? Here it come.
Come together as one.
Like a wave across the ocean.
wide open.
One single time you Heat. Heat.
Yeah.
Heat.
Heat.
Heat.
of our in the great symphony of us.
We hope you enjoyed Luminous, the symphony of us. From all of us here at Epcot, we wish you a wonderful evening and a safe journey home.
>> Good night.
>> Thank you and good night.
>> Thanks, big voice in the sky. Well, that was luminous. the symphony of us. If you guys enjoyed that, don't forget to subscribe to the channel. It's free to do. We are now just seven away from hitting that 92800 >> 92,800. That's crazy.
>> All right, let me get mine back on first.
Turn the brightness back up. There we go.
>> And good evening everybody. Thanks for joining us here at Epcot. The only thing we can do now is walk to the front of the park and leave. So, we would dub this time a story time.
>> Ah, goofy. Maybe you've seen that EDC Vegas grand finale. You might be uh Yeah, even the Fourth of July fireworks here at Magic Kingdom uh the perimeter that that EDC Vegas stuff is crazy. It's a half mile with like insane fireworks.
>> Night Bob.
>> It's the entire backstretch of the Las Vegas Speedway going off at the same time.
It's Yeah, this is one of the craziest >> fireworks.
Take a breath. It's everybody else.
Are you ready? Can you feel it? Here it comes.
>> Go ahead. Yep.
And balloon in my face. Oh my gosh.
>> I I don't know, Sean. The amount of fireworks they shoot off in one weekend and it's now it's over 3 days.
We got three flower shows at UDC every year.
This is very mellow.
Like a river of love in your wide open sound.
It's all that we are >> fireworks because drones are just lights.
What is going on?
>> Craziness out here.
>> Somehow >> some part of a beach. I forgot what we were going to talk about. We were talking about something earlier and then I forgot what it was. We're going to talk about it later. Does anybody remember what it was?
We were like getting water and then I forgot. You ever forget?
I swear goes on and on.
One heartbeat all day.
>> Oh, you can't forget the kid that ran into me in the parking lot, too.
>> That was That was so random.
>> Also, don't run out of the parking lot.
General parking. 5:30. Craziness.
>> Well, good evening everybody. And um >> we're making our way to the front of the park now. Grocery store. What we doing at the grocery store?
>> Oh yeah, now I remember. Thank you.
>> Hey, see >> ice cream.
>> What?
Now I remember I forgot. You never forget. I forgot.
>> Woo. Rhythm. You guys ever listen to rhythm?
>> Either way.
>> Wrong kind of rhythm.
MK 4th of July one and done. I mean, I'm going the third and the fifth, but on the fourth I won't. That is there are very few holidays that you have to you have to celebrate them on the day this year.
So, me and my son, we do fireworks. We like to do those at home. You know, it's small stuff, but like it's just fun.
And uh we we don't stream on the 4th of July. Take the whole day off, hang out with my kids like the last 24 hours.
Like we watched fireworks last night. We watched Enchantment and Happily Ever After from the parking lot last night.
It was great. We had pizza. We grabbed some snacks from the gas station.
Snakes and sparklers. Exactly.
I already have my park reservations.
Like, yeah, that's my plan.
>> Cap.
Don't let it cry.
>> Oh, yeah. That was just uh One of the things about Fourth of July, like >> you can celebrate Christmas the day before, the day after, right? Christmas can be whatever day you want it to be.
That's what we do in our family, right?
Easter doesn't have to be on Easter, >> right? And we don't celebrate holidays on holidays unless we have to, which the 4th of July is a holiday you have to kind of celebrate on the 4th of July cuz otherwise your neighbors get kind of mad at you when you light fireworks off for like 4 hours next door on July 2nd.
And then hi Beth. And then um New Year's, you obviously can only celebrate New Year's on New Year's, but my daughter took a nap last night in the car and then woke up for the second round of fireworks last night.
She still can't handle the fireworks outside as like without being in the car right now, which is fine. So, we're still working.
I can't do Yeah, but I can't do that in my neighborhood. Otherwise, I'd be shooting fireworks off all week, too. My neighborhood's not that. My neighbors like us. I don't want to ruin that.
If you love the music, love will never fade away.
Remember me for gone. Remember me and let the love we have and all the love with you the only way that I can.
remember me.
Imagine Imagination.
A dream can be a dream come true with just one little of inspiration at the heart of our creation right at the start of everything that's one little spark for your imagination.
>> I was watching lightning. I don't know the lightning strike. Oh, that was cool.
>> So, I'm watching lightning strikes over here. You know what I mean?
>> Yeah, some of them are crazy.
Joseph.
>> Okay. Well, >> as we are now making our round here, >> good evening and uh the song will end in about a minute and a half. Um, >> everything little spark lights for you.
Imagination.
that kind of vibe I got.
>> Oh my gosh. Hang on. There's a huge crowd behind me.
>> Hey, run from what?
>> Good evening.
>> On behalf of >> Who are we running from?
>> We thank you for joining us today.
>> I got I got to run until October.
>> Innovation and the magic of human connection.
opening day. The goal of that cup has been to entertain, inform, and inspire.
All right.
>> But above all, to celebrate a world in which you celebrate each other.
>> Until we see you then.
>> Good night.
>> Talk about the lightning in the area.
That's nothing.
Well, good evening.
>> I said that probably like 30 times now.
Um, yeah. Oh, grocery store. So, we go to the store.
uh go to the grocery store today and we we get like the ice cream and stuff and I can't eat that stuff anymore. It's such a like it makes me so sad.
Chicken and rice is like a real thing and it's just like I have you guys seen the the the seaweed with rice then you bake it and you turn it into like a a sushi taco or something like you put sushi in it. It looks I don't know. I really want that.
Either way, for those who don't know, in uh January, I am running the dopey challenge for experience uh we're raising money for experience camps. Experience Camps is a week-long program at no cost for kids to go out and uh get away after, you know, at a camp for um losing a family member as a parent, primary caregiver or a sibling. And uh I just remember doing the half marathon in January, you know, and I was just like I just remember how bad my knee hurt for like 3 weeks. And uh and so it was a a weight thing or I don't know.
I I have torn tendon in my knee and stuff from the military. So, like it's they try to say it's weight and I'm like, I know my knee's busted. I got I got it. Whatever. So, I've been doing this go to the gym thing every night. I try not to talk about it cuz you know people obsess over it or whatever. And like I eat different now. I I used to eat Del Taco every day. We all know like it was like we eating Chick-fil-A or Del Taco. I still eat Chick-fil-A. I had Chick-fil-A before I got here. But um but I'm not like I have to worry about what I eat. Obviously I had like a pizza last night, but that wouldn't go well for me either cuz I stopped eating pizza all the time.
And so um now it's all like chicken and rice and steak and rice and I don't know.
Either way, not trying to get into the whole dieting or whatever because I'm not really dieting. I still drink Monster and I still eat like stuff, but I can't eat certain things anymore cuz my body's not used to eating them. So, it just like ruins my whole day.
We've had Yes, me and Angela have gym meetings now because I'm at the gym after I stream. Like tonight, I'm going to go to my car. I'm going to drive up to the gym. I'm going to be there till probably about 12:30 tonight cuz by the time I get out of here and I get there, it's going to be like almost 11:00.
Run dizzy so I can eat tacos.
Kitty brown rice.
So, um I'm down 12 pounds already in like the like two and well technically it's three months. We're about 3 months now.
But in 3 months, I'm down 12 lbs. But also, I'm not like dieting. You know what I'm saying? Like, like I had half a clown bar today. Like, a T Pro was good meeting you as well.
Laughed at me being star. No, I have I've experienced that quite a bit actually. This You're not a problem at all. Yeah. Feel free to come by and say hi to me, everybody. I'm a normal person.
But >> I don't know. I go to the like we go to the grocery store and it's just like, okay, we need this, this, and this.
Like, we bought strawberries, blueberries, you know, pineapple for tomorrow. And it's just all the things I don't want to do.
But like, I don't know. I took it really serious.
I don't want to not be able to move after doing the dopey challenge.
I went on a 14-day diet. I lost two weeks.
Normal Yeah, USMC.
It pretty much is. And then like me and Shel are at the store today. This grocery store stuff. And we're we're walking through and we're like, you know, I picked out some steaks cuz you know Tanner likes cooking steak. He likes the whole cooking on the Blackstone thing. So, it's kind of a weird time in our life where like I in my like 21 years of being married to Shelly or together 16 years 16 years married 17 some kind of math and um yeah 17 years okay 17 years married she's like nowhere in that time have you ever gone to the gym I was like the military made me and she's like I know it's different now I go to the gym every day they're asleep anyways They're asleep right now. I I kept them out late last night and so they're very tired today. So Shel messaged me right as Luminous started. She's like, "We're going to bed." So they're all asleep already. So then I go after work so I can spend I do it during not their time so I can spend my time with them when they're awake.
>> Same.
Check it with me. All right. Yeah. So whatever 2009 May 1st, 2009. There we go. Math. Um, let me show.
>> So, I don't know. I just remember January watching everybody walk around and I had my like my Donald Daisy 13.1 mile medal and I was like, you know, I was pretty proud of it cuz I've never ran a half marathon before that.
Well, not the one the army didn't schedule.
>> And then I was seeing everybody carry that dopey band like you know it's all you know all four races plus the challenge medals you get the goofy and the dopey and I just like if there's ever a time to do it now is the time. Don't ever just wait and be like oh I think in two years now you just got to you just got to go for it.
So, here I am from Lily eating Del Taco and pizza every day and drinking. Now I Yeah.
Yeah. Those were forced. Not fun to now to now I have uh my own chef, which is my son, which is great cuz he loves doing it. He thinks it's so cool.
Yeah, we're going to watch some lightning from right here because it looks really cool from right here. I got my own like little chef and his name is Tanner and Shelly loves the way we're eating now. So, we're at the store and we've seen chicken breasts are like 99 cents a pound and here we are buying like 8 pounds of chicken.
I don't do zero sugar. See, that's that's the part of the diet things that I don't do. Like I don't do the zero like I still want to enjoy everything.
I'm not like this isn't like a like a a weight loss journey or anything. I'm not trying to do all that. Woo. That's cool.
Um that's not my whole goal. My whole goal isn't to like to like like get super skinny and like look all ripped and everything like that's the the goal is to >> if I did so when I did the the half marathon I did very very minimal training >> literally running around my neighborhood and I was able to do pretty well on my like I finished and I still had plenty of time left. So, that's what I want to get to. I want to get to the point where I can do the Dopey and still have and not be like, I didn't make it. Cuz if I don't make it and I get swept for whatever reason, um then I then I have to do it again the next year. That's the problem with me.
Like, if I I have to complete it. If I don't complete it, it will forever haunt me and I'll drive myself crazy about it.
So, um let's see. Zero sugar mountain de Jill Tro Cherpa adventure still base camp looking for Oh, Tro. Yeah. No, I um actually Tro just Instagram me. I'll I'll give you the information on the the Everest base camp thing we were talking about. Still want to do that. I still want to do that. Yes, absolutely. Um just just make sure you mention reference your name as T Pro. That way I know who you are. Uh, Stephen with the 499 says, "Here's the thing about dopey training now. See you out there." 4hour marathon or n.
All right.
That's the UK lounge. Always drunk. Um, thank you so much for the $4.99. Uh, greatly appreciate it. And yeah, no, this uh Oh, spiderweb.
There we go. Oh, in my face.
Do they close the parks due to weather?
Uh, not really. No. Um, I've been through some pretty crazy weather here.
Even on when like a hurricane's approaching, they still like as long as a hurricane doesn't hit like morning through midday, they'll open the park for a couple hours in the morning and then like close it and then like open it the next evening.
Oh, gotcha. Cheap. Okay. Yeah. The best way to like figure out everything that's going on everybody Instagram. Instagram is going to be your across the board.
Find out like not just me, but Janelle, Tanya, Tyler. Well, maybe not so much Tyler. I try to get him to post more, but you know, like it's Tyler. Um, we're working. He's working on it.
But uh it's just like working with Jack and trying to get him to post on his Instagram. We're working on it, >> but um Instagram is going to be the best way to like find out when like a live stream's happening or other things are going on like like the challenge workout stuff like that. I mean, we're doing so much at uh even Captain Crunch on the Run on the Go fan cruise, right? So, we're going to go on a cruise in in September uh 28th to October 2nd. And on Castaway, they have a 5K. And we're going we're going to go do the 5K cuz you know, obviously I got a September uh not September, but October I have the five and 10K um for experience camps as well happening. And um so that's in October. So, we're going to do the 5K on the No, no, no. Like, it's do at your own pace and everything, but I mean Cap's doing it.
He went from like watching me run to now he's going to go with us.
So, >> yeah, Jill, I was the same way. I I need to as well and lose. So medically they were like if you don't want your knee to hurt you need to lose at least 20 lbs uh before uh you run that much and that will take a lot of pressure off your knee. And I was like okay it's just my left knee.
The right knee is you know picking up the slack. So >> they said you have less issues. They didn't say I don't want to have issues.
They just said I would have less issues.
And I like the way they stopped. They weren't they weren't lying. They were like, "Oh yeah, just do." No, cuz I really would have wanted to be like, "Yo, if you lose 40, you probably do fine."
>> I'm out to race you. Oh, my bad. Did you say five? Yeah, we we got to get that cake, too, though. There's also like the cake.
What are you doing there?
Um Rob, mostly strength training. Um I Yeah, like when I get closer, um let's say when we get into September, that's So, right now it's all strength. I'm just doing like buildup.
Uh especially that's why I was saying the other day when I was getting on Tron, I was like I'm having issues with pulling the the lever down and getting the bar over my calves because one of my biggest issues I have with Run Disney is the like 2 hours of waiting around before you start running and my calves like burn on fire for like the first two miles. And so I've been doing a lot of um thigh and calf muscle work and now they're creating slight what that was so cool um some Tron issues.
Yeah.
They're not it's not bad. I can just pull really hard and it slides right over. But like Yeah.
Oh, really?
>> Oh, yeah. No, I'm all about a challenge.
I I'm very competitive, too. Yes.
No, no, they cuz they slip across your calves. So they're they're wing they wing they wing like this. So they're sucked up against the vehicle and then they go over your but they have to slide over your calves and then they get behind your knee and then you're fine.
Um it's just that part. So don't flex when you get on there.
No, there's no indents. That's none of that stuff.
>> Is it backwards?
I would love to.
>> Yeah.
>> Hey, Kim Possible. Good to see you. We got the Heyi Kim Possible.
He's my >> Have you tried No, it's it's nothing. I can So, the the again, the problem isn't my leg. Like I I can run I ran around my neighborhood the other night cuz I didn't go to the gym. I just did I just ran around my neighborhood. Um I was fine. I ran like 1.6 whatever mile whatever two times around my neighborhood is. Um it's like 1.6 miles or something like that. I when I was in California the day that I did a 12-h hour stream before that I ran uh to the Planet Fitness over there and that was 1.6 miles. Like I can run 1.6 miles and no issues cuz you know I'm moving.
The problem with the Run Disney is you're standing for 90 plus minutes waiting for your corral to move and then you start moving but you're shuffling, right? There's not a lot of room to stretch and get ready. If you haven't done a Run Disney event, them crows can be the like the the ender for you.
Oh, this is open. Oops.
Especially cuz I always do the last crow.
Never mind. I'll just go this way.
So then when you get out there and you're like, "Okay, I'm in the last corral. I need to get moving. I, you know, I need to get myself some space between the the end of the race and and myself." And then like by the time you get a decent distance, you're just like, "Oh my gosh, I'm tired." And it hurts, you know? And you also got to remember like I get there at like 3:00 in the morning. We don't even start running till 6:00 in the morning.
But the first hour you're there, you get to sit down. They don't make you stand up. But >> wait, all you have to do is meet.
>> Either way, I'm just letting you all know this isn't some crazy like, oh, we're going to get jacked. Like, no, that's Jack Sparrow's thing. Jack Sparrow.
I love that shirt.
Yeah, distance from the balloon ladies is like it's a huge thing, too, cuz you get on some of those overpasses and you look out and you don't see them and you're just thinking to yourself like, I got this.
I never see them again once I leave the start line, which has always been a great thing. Um, unless I see them from a distance, which is great. But if they ever get behind me, I know it's over.
>> Okay.
>> It's a great experience. I'm Yeah, me too. But uh again, I want to give a big shout out to Experience Camps for inviting uh me, Janelle, Tanya, and um and Tyler to do these events. You know, we raise money for them and uh it's big.
Uh you really going to come in the chat and just tell me to go on Guardians when the park is closed? like either way.
Um, Experience Camps is is like I said, a weekl long program and uh they've been the ones that keep inviting us out to go do more run events. Uh, we raise money for their cause, you know, their their camps and everything and we run the events. uh all 5ks and 10ks I will stream those. I will definitely especially like that that weekend marathon weekend five but when it gets to the half marathon and the full marathon just rather just you know not carry anything extra for those those Yeah.
Um, yeah, it's going to be a lot.
And then we should go do something after that, right? We do the do that.
All right. Spaceship vers about to do a show.
Let me get my settings dialed in a little bit here.
Oh, that's right.
Let me move up. Move up. Get out of the light. There we go.
I turned 40 in August.
Just make me leave a seat.
Tiny little seat that's reaching up to meet your need. This is the land to the land.
Yes, we can.
Yes, we can. Yes, we can.
Today, victory in the world we've yet to see.
The wonders of finding new ways that lead to the promise of bright day one of you imagination.
A dream can be a dream come true with spark.
New York show.
through the tears to discover new God.
Woohoo.
Heat.
Heat.
We call it >> dragon pictures.
>> Well, there's no festivals. We get that one back, which is great.
>> Yeah. Somebody hands me a Coca-Cola, I'm out of the race.
I had like a half can of root beer the other day and I literally felt horrible.
Yeah, it's just a lot of like water and chicken and rice and steak. Oh yeah, Tanner. Such a good cook though. I mean, I love it.
Chicken rice. Well, I mean, there's fruit, too. Like, I don't know. Don't you put vegetables in front of me. I'll throw that stuff right in the trash.
Trash. I mean, we'll go over to We'll go to living with the land.
We'll look at vegetables.
trash.
>> All right, we got to get going here in a couple minutes.
>> Actually, Spaceship Bird is about to do one more in 5 minutes.
>> It's actually been a while since I've been over here to >> Yeah, I don't think that's okay.
I like how >> just be aware there was a giant cockroach.
>> Oh, they're everywhere. It's normal.
It's normal.
>> Okay.
Normal, but >> uh we tried this one rice out of Louisiana. Uh long some Costco. Um something long rice. And uh Shel didn't like it and Tanner didn't like it. So now we have jasmine rice.
So now we have like two 5 lb bags of rice at home.
Shel likes the jasmine, right? I I eat you, you know, we we prior military, we just eat whatever, you know.
So, now we have jasmine rice.
Whenever I look at Walt there, I always think back to the time they let uh we went and did the um the Disneyland handcrafted uh preview.
uh that's on Disney Plus and it's so I like I still think back to watching that and then when I was at Disneyland this last week, you know, just looking at all the the castle and watching the video and like riding the Mark Twain over the weekend, you know, over this last week and then watching, you know, watching that video as they built it. It's just very cool to like how um Leslie put that together and then and then like you just go to the park and you look at everything a bit different.
Like we're just like, "Oh, the Mark Twain's a boat." But then like you watch how they built the Mark Twain and how they got it into place and like the water they put there. And I don't know.
I just think it's really cool. Like I'm really hoping there was a big request.
So, we all made a big request that hopefully in the future that she does another one of these, but this time it's the Roy story and Roy completing Walt Disney World in honor of his brother Walt. So, we're really hoping and she she even mentioned in that little thing like there was so much footage of Walt Disney World being built in Roy that it would be so hopefully Yeah. So hopefully that happens cuz uh it would be great to see like I mean I've seen a ton of Disneyland videos and archives and you know everything's always What about worlds?
You know just the building the original like building the Montreal seeing that them like dig up the entire seven se uh seven seas lagoon.
I really enjoyed like that whole interaction and everything. And all right, next Spaceship Earth show is going to start in 1 minute.
It's the last one of the night. The last one's at 10:00. I'm so glad they do these at park closed now.
Trying to get over here.
Chicken broth rice.
Yeah. I mean, I grew up in my childhood was like hot dogs, chili, sausage, um jeez, what? Spaghetti. like, you know, I I had very limited pizza. There we go.
Pretty much all it was growing up. So, >> I can eat this. Like, everybody's like, "Oh, cuz the military." No, cuz that's how I grew up. I literally grew up eating the same thing every week. So, like for me, it was never a big deal.
All right, here we go, everybody. Enjoy.
Another exercise.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
You know something?
Heat.
Heat.
Heat. Heat.
Heat.
Heat.
Perfect.
>> So good.
>> Hey.
>> Hey. How you guys doing?
>> Good. How are you, man?
>> Good.
>> We appreciate you.
>> Thank you. You guys heading out?
and not going to try to ride state right now. No, I'm just kidding.
>> Yeah, we didn't have the time to thank the connection.
>> Yeah, it's all right. It's all right. I mean, I didn't either today.
>> I came in, there was no line. I walked up after I started. The line was outside the queue and I was like, and we're going over.
>> It was nice seeing you guys. Thanks for watching.
>> Our friend Jack works at the crystal shop and >> Oh god. I like messaged you in the chat saying >> if it wasn't you like going in there like I would have known her now like >> yeah I remember that day. Yeah, I remember that cuz he was like what >> I know he told me about he was like yeah Ron told me that someone from school or you know messaged you or something and I was like that was me.
>> He was just I know he was just like this is crazy.
>> Yeah, we actually just hung out with him. He just left.
>> Oh yeah, he's got to work tomorrow.
>> Yeah, we're going to go see him tomorrow.
>> I'll be there too.
>> Okay, sweet. Awesome. You guys have a great night and see you tomorrow.
>> Ah yeah, pause and reflect. Exactly.
But as we were saying, um you know, the the gym thing is is weird to me, too.
Don't get me wrong. Like I'm not like a a gym guy, but I'm I'm going to go right there right now. Um that's what I'm going to go do. and uh and continue to get ready for um the future run Disney events. And not only are we doing, you know, October and January, but obviously you saw Princess Marathon or Princess Half Marathon weekend just opened up. And of course, Springtime Surprise is going to open up eventually, too. And uh as of right now they we're we're talking to them and they want us to be a part of their future races uh with experience camps and uh to help them raise money and awareness. The key or is awareness. A lot of people don't know experience camps exists and uh I mean we're reaching 1,500 plus people right now about it. So I mean that's that's great for them. So, you never know that maybe somebody in you might know might need uh a weekl long camp for a kid who might lost a a parent sibling or primary care really, you know, like So, what kind of music do I listen to? Oh, you know, like like Billy Ray Cyrus, you know, don't tell my heart my achy break.
No, I'm just joking.
It's Taylor Swift.
Um, no. I usually listen to like uh uh what I'm listening to Sub Focus right now. It's like a two-hour mix.
If the 2hour mix ends, I know I've been there a little too long. Let's just say that. I had this like Sub Focus. It's out of Red Rocks, Colorado called Worship. It's like him and like three other DJs and it was a whole week. Like it's a two-hour mix. And if I I have been there long enough where it has ended and I thought to myself like that means it's 1:30 in the morning. Yep, it is. Yeah, it was 1:30 in the morning.
So, it happens.
Look, I grew up Billy Ray Cyrus cuz my mom was a diehard Billy Ray Cyrus fan.
Like, I don't think you understand.
Every time we got in the car, there was some kind of Billy Ray Cyrus song playing.
So, yes, I I know it very well.
That's fetching.
That's funny. Cap.
So, Yeah, sometimes I just get there and I just forget. Especially when you get on the I don't know if you guys do the stair master, the the stair thing, the thing that repeats the stairs. I hate stairs.
Y'all know I don't like stairs. I go to Japan. Love Japan. Hate the stairs. Um yeah, 15 20 minutes at like 5.
and literally like just shower please after that. I usually do that at the end.
Um or I think it's the end and I don't.
Also, they have this cool thing called Polar Plunge now. Woo! Unfortunately, it's down right now cuz it's already broken. We just got it two weeks ago.
But like I put on cold for 7 minutes and it like it wraps around you and it's supposed to be like, you know, a polar plunge and and uh that's amazing at this time of year.
>> I had an idea to make videos. I didn't have an idea to live stream. Live streaming came later. You know, you have to adapt. You have to adjust. You can't Vlogging wasn't working for me. People rather listen to me ramble and stare at Spaceship Earth and yell Montreal um than they run and watch me vlog. So that's that's just how it worked out that way.
Are there vlogs? Absolutely. Tomorrow morning there's a vlog dropping everybody. Uh it's my St. Louis to Kansas City to Disneyland video. Uh it's about 40 something minutes. Um I finished it today.
Do I wear rucks sack too? No.
No, I don't.
I also play uh the Bluey soundtrack when I do it, you know.
Ow.
All right, I got to get going.
Seriously, park's closed. It's in an hour after the park closed. So, we got to get out of here. Um and I still got to drive over there. So, I got to get going.
Oh, my feet hurt. Oh gosh. You know what' be great is if there was one closer.
Yeah, we were supposed to do that tonight. USMC. We were supposed to go watch Hair Up and SL uh uh gosh, I forgot the name of the show already.
Sensational. Uh S Sensational, whatever it is. Uh over at Universal. But it's not tonight. It wasn't yesterday. It's not today, but it is tomorrow. But tomorrow we're doing Magic Kingdom for like 9 hours. And then on Thursday we got Thursday at Friday we got 12 hours of magic. On Saturday we're not live because I got to go do something. And then sun the home vlog will come out Saturday.
And then Sunday we're back in the Magic Kingdom for another 12. Well, we're not in the Magic Kingdom for 12. By the way everybody, Sunday Magic Kingdom until about 5ish and then we got to get on a bus and we got to go to Hollywood Studios. Uh, we're doing Fantasmic Sunday evening. So, it's Magic Kingdom to Fantasmic.
Change of plans on Sunday. I had a request. I got to do it. I got to be there. So, um, Fantasmic Sunday night.
We'll be at Magic in the morning from 10 a.m. 10:00 a.m. through 5. I don't know.
We'll probably just watch the Hoown and then leave. So that's what we're doing.
That's that's the schedule for the week.
I know there's no normally not a schedule. This week there's a schedule.
There's a lot going on. Uh Monday is no plan Monday. Yes, I said that. No plan Monday is coming Monday. I got to go do a dentist appointment Monday morning and then we're no plan Monday the rest of the day. So, that's that's about as far out as I can tell you. After that, I'll let you know. But, it's mostly going to be evenings because I got to help Shelly with work and the kids cuz the kids are now on summer vacation. So, most of my streams will be in the evening from this point on, unless there's like a 12 or something. And when I say evening, like 300 p.m.
Otherwise than that, me and the kids got Fortnite to play. I don't play Roblox. I can't I can't do it. It drives me crazy.
The kids love Roblox. I'm like But then Ally just starts yelling the whole time.
You know, I got kids. They're adorable.
