[00:00:10]Nida Khan, the key accused in the TCS Nashik sexual harassment and religious conversion case, was arrested in Maharashtra on Thursday.

[00:00:19]Nida Khan was arrested from Keser Colony in Naregaon area of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

[00:00:26]She had been [music] staying at a flat there along with her parents, brother, and aunt for the past 4 days.

[00:00:34]Nida Khan, who's the prime accused in the alleged conversion racket, had been absconding since [music] the case came to light and multiple cases were filed against her.

[00:00:44]She had also moved court seeking anticipatory [music] bail citing her pregnancy. Now, with her being arrested, more details are likely to emerge in the case.

[00:00:54]Nida Khan joined the TCS Nashik unit in December 2021 and was designated as process associate.

[00:01:13]Multiple complaints in the TCS Nashik case alleging forced conversion and targeting of Hindu girls aged between 18 and 25 has shocked the nation.

[00:01:22]So far, nine complaints have been filed in the case, including the one by a male employee who also claimed religious harassment and attempted conversion.

[00:01:32]Complaints also allege that the accused at the higher posts abused Hindu deities, forced women to consume non-vegetarian food items, [music] and mocked them during Hindu festivals.

[00:01:44]Eight people have been arrested so far, including seven men: Danish Shaikh, Tausif Attar, Reza Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shafi Shaikh, Asif Aftab Ansari, [music] and a woman.

[00:01:56]Following the arrests, reports suggest that the operation at TCS Nashik office had been temporarily suspended and the staff has been asked [music] to work from home.

[00:02:10]The police arrested the employees in connection with the case. The company suspended them following an internal review.

[00:02:18]Till now, at least nine cases have been registered including the complaints of harassment, misconduct, and coercion linked to the alleged conversion attempts.

[00:02:28]The SIT is probing the matter while reports indicate that the central agencies have also launched an inquiry.
