And um there would be like street parties and [ __ ] [ __ ] they do, you know, in the hood. And um there was this guy who just a neighborhood guy. I was um I guess I was around 16 and was I 16? So when I went over when I got home and I walked in, I knew that my parents had like gifts. Everybody was hanging at their like people would just hang out, pick play cards to have beer, whatever they did. And so I walked in and they were all there.
But you know when you get that vibe, something's up.

He was the one who had the seizures. Every time I break up with him, he'd have a [ __ ] seizure, man.
It it went on for years. He decoupaged all the notes I because, you know, back then cell phones weren't like a thing, so I'd write him notes when I was in cuz he was older than me. He wasn't in high school anymore. He decoupaged all the notes I wrote him in class to like a coffee table. This is like 2 years after I'd already gotten out of high school.
>> That's kind of a nice idea, actually.
>> It was creepy as [ __ ] man. When he showed me, I was like, "What are you doing?" And he got he formed this huge cocaine habit. Like it was horrible.
>> Well, yeah. This guy [ __ ] um another time he called me crying, crying, crying, saying that um begging me and and offering to pay me $5,000 just to tell him >> what he needed to like change about himself.
>> Make me.
>> And he was a good guy though. Like he was good. He was He really was. And then um I remember when I you know met my husband um obviously you know we got married and we were together so we were together for a few years before we had our daughter and um I remember like even before like there's this one little neighborhood pub that just like dive bar that everybody in the neighborhood would go and hang out at And every time we would be we'd go there, well my husband and I, we would go there. This is before I got pregnant, but we would go there like on the weekends and stuff and they had like jukebox and we'd be sitting there and he was so shameless. He always played Nikita and he'd just stare at me right in I'm sitting beside my husband and my husband would get so [ __ ] pissed off. And then I got pregnant. I had my daughter and I remember I ran into him. I hadn't seen him in about a maybe close to a year and my daughter was probably two months old.
It was so creepy because I was pushing the stroller and I ran into him like, "Oh, hey." And he was looking at her and he looked at me and he said something. He said the stupidest thing. He said something along the lines of she should be or I she should be mine or something. And I was like, "Oh god." But I was kind of used to his weirdness at that point. So I was just like, "Okay, whatever."
>> Wait, was he the one who died last year?
The one that died?
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, no.
>> Yeah. And um he also one time um so I went to a party. It was a daytime like barbecue and like so all my parents' friends were it was my it was my parents friend that was having the barbecue and everybody like all the adults all had kids my age or around my age.
So he uh so my mom's my parents' friend's son cuz all the teenagers and so we were just hanging out in the backyard or wherever we were in the [ __ ] old gizzards that were not they were younger than I am now. But anyways they were the they would hang out together hidden playing cards or do whatever they do.
So, we were all kind of, you know, just we weren't drink. I didn't obviously I wasn't drinking at that age, but um none of them were, but we were sitting in the backyard and just [ __ ] around. It was And this is We were teenagers. Keep this in mind because teenagers do dumb [ __ ] >> So, he So, someone dared um this guy uh Ken to give me a hickey.
And I remember like it was it was funny to me. It was hilarious. It everybody was laughing, right? It wasn't like it cuz we were wrestling and that that was the whole thing, right? To see if he could. And obviously he did. And it was more on the top of my shoulder actually cuz it was we're idiots. But it was in the middle of the day. It wasn't like I wasn't attacked, assaulted or anything like that. It was just, you know, >> nothing sexual at all. Few days later, my friend Jenny tells him that, you know, I was attack like held down forcefully against my will. This [ __ ] idiot goes and punches him in the face.
>> Oh my god, poor Ken.
>> Goes looking for him in the neighborhood, just pops him. I was like, "Oh, we've all had our share of Roberts in our We have all had that one Robert.
Lord knows every person I meet is like a robber.
>> Yeah. And then um >> unfortunately poor Robert. So he never got married.
That's a trip.
>> Never got married. Never had kids. I've would run into him from time to time.
Um, the last time I ran into him was about 10 years ago and I went uh to meet up with a friend of mine who I hadn't seen I've known her for like 30 years, but I hadn't seen her in about a almost a year. So, she we decided to meet up in you know, one of the old neighborhood bars and I didn't live in Toronto at the time. So I went down there and we were sitting there and I don't drink but she does and it was in the a everything seems to be with this guy always in the afternoon and so we were sitting at by the window and she ordered us both both um a glass of wine and he I saw him walk by and he looked and he saw us. So he came in and he looked so [ __ ] sad and so he sits down >> and he had like a $20 bill in his hand and he was like he he he just still was acting like a nervous teenage boy and he was just he kept folding this $20 bill over and over again. Fold it, unfold it as he was trying to like talk and he was like asking me, you know, like so how's life? And you know, how are the kids?
And I just remember thinking to myself like he's a good guy. He was a good guy, but you know, if you don't if you're not attracted, you're just not.
>> Yeah.
>> Force it, right?
>> Yeah. So, I >> But I just remember s cuz we were obviously older at that point. I just was looking at him and I was thinking like, why the [ __ ] Like, how are you not someone's husband?
>> It just kind of happens that way sometimes, you know? Sometimes people just don't. But you know what he did though is he so he ended up I think he I don't even know the situation. There was this girl she was a known crack [ __ ] and she was exactly what you would like she was like a street walking crack [ __ ] >> and she got pregnant and she had a uh she had a boy and somehow he I think he ended up uh they were roommates but I think They I was I mean I don't know I think they might have been sleeping together too but she was definitely you know and but he so anyway so they were roommates but he became like a surrogate dad to her son. So her so he was like 21 when he passed. the the boy was like 21 and I remember um when I went to the uh obituary page and this boy well he wasn't a boy he was like 21 or something wrote the most beautiful like it was it made me cry because like he was obviously very very like from birth like he so he never had his own children but he did raise this boy.
>> Oh so he someone who loved him then. Oh, no. He Oh, he he had a lot of people that loved him.
>> Oh, good.
>> But he and he never had his own children, but he did raise >> um this he was the only father that this one this guy ever knew.
>> And he posted all these photos of them through the years. And I never knew that about him. I didn't know that he that he was had that role. And I was so I was happy for that. But I didn't know about it till after he passed.
Well, that's very sad about poor Roberto. Poor Robert. Rest in peace, Robert.

>> She's visit visiting. Well, yeah. So, um I don't know. She took Well, I I was just about to say she took the baby with her. Then I was like, "Well, it is her.
He is hers." So, this is the first night that >> we have Mr. Man.
>> I know. And it's crazy because I'm like I don't It's been so strange like >> I know. Not hearing them.
>> No. Yeah. But I keep looking like where, you know, is he's Oh my go find out like get home now.

So, if you want, we'll set it up maybe for m I don't know in a few days or so and we'll do like an open panel and we'll start telling all of our weird or kooky or fun dating stories. I think that would be really fun because it's always, you know, those are the stories that I think are the best. So, and I think it would be interesting too if maybe we could merge these two, but like Tiffany and I were just talking about certain songs that we we associate with certain experiences, even them weird creepy ones. So, if you have any stories like that, um, you are more than welcome to come on up. How long has it been? Like, have you I haven't seen you on a panel lately.
