Los Angeles Mayor BUSTED for ElectioneeringAdded:
Spencer Pratt, everybody has made much ado about his campaigning prowess and rightly so, but now he has filed an ethics complaint against Mayor Karen Bass, which he is alleging a illegal electioneering.
So, this is quite something. Sat 7.
Candidate Spencer Pratt [music] has filed an ethics complaint against Mayor Karen Bass. He is accusing her of breaking state [music] election law by campaigning near a ballot box. Pratt posting, "Quote, we must protect our democracy. Electioneering within 100 ft of a ballot box is against the law.
Soliciting votes at a ballot box is against the law. These clear violations show a reckless disregard for the rule of law and our democratic process." A spokesperson for Bass telling [music] Fox News Digital, "Quote, his complaint is blatantly false. There were two locations filmed for this video. [music] One 200 plus ft away from the ballot box with signs and one [music] next to the ballot box, no signs."
Didn't she just admit that she was illegally electioneering?
>> I think >> [clears throat] >> we've got evidence of illegal electioneering conduct, illegal illegal vote harvesting. It's very very complicated business. So, here's the actual video of Karen Bass in question.
Warning, this is a video of Karen Bass.
Warning.
Hello, everybody.
ALL RIGHT. WE'RE ON THE COUNTDOWN.
ON THE COUNTDOWN, JUST ONE MORE WEEK.
[screaming] ONE MORE WEEK.
>> [cheering] >> WELL, I HAVE TO SAY THAT YOU SHOULD vote today. Fill out your ballot, hand it to your postal [music] worker, or come to a voting box like this. We have a few days left in this election and we are going to take it to victory.
She looks like a Batman villain.
>> like that whole video should be illegal because it was so >> Green pants, black top, her her It felt very She felt very stiff. It was like, you know, like something had happened to her mobility.
Um, but she is she's elderly.
She's an old lady now. She's a she's an old communist.
But anyways, it doesn't appear that she was doing electioneering right at the ballot I mean, she drops it off.
Didn't have a sign, I guess. Stop play I think he's got a point here. That she does deserve this ethics complaint. Um, so we'll see what happens, I suppose.
>> the answer, of course, is probably nothing is going to happen cuz, you know, these sorts of rules exist to harass an upstart like Spencer Pratt.
They don't exist for an establishment candidate to be held to account for doing it for rigging the system in their favor endlessly. And I think you and I both know there are a few cities more rigged in favor of those who run it than Los Angeles.
>> Well, and the teachers unions, the whole political apparatus. I mean, listen, let's just be let's be straight with the audience. His chances are still in the minority. Like he's, you know, I think he's got a 26 or 28% chance of winning according to some of the the, you know, polymarkets of the world.
But we'll see what happens. Listen, he's got the momentum. He's big mo, big momentum behind him. And listen, some of these videos like that are coming out Karen Bass is not well-loved. She's not There's no like adoration for Karen Bass. It's the machine you're up against. She's getting torched in public for her many failures. Play 42.
Karen Bass is here to talk about homelessness. Inside safe, we have spent how much, Karen?
How much? 400 million to house what?
1,500 people permanently? You are a failure.
An absolute failure. And you come here for your little media event. YOU HAVE FAILED THE CITY OF LA, KAREN.
WE ARE SPENDING HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS PER person in inside safe.
Half of them end up back out on the street.
The city is filthy. YOU'VE CUT FUNDING FOR EVERYTHING. You've cut funding for street services, FOR STREET LIGHTING, FOR SANITATION. Don't touch me. Please don't touch me. I You could be nicer.
I don't care about I don't care about your media event. The people of LA have real questions.
It's good. It's good. I I wonder if he's on the campaign, the Praag campaign, cuz if not, pay that guy.
Um is Spencer Praag came out with a video talking about You saw on that video that they had a bunch of services cut, including like firefighters.
There's millions of dollars cut from the firefighting budget in LA. And so he great He made this great ad. He said, "We have the money. It's just being stolen." It's worth watching. Play cut clip clip 41.
The number one question that everybody has for me when they hear my plan is, "How can we do that, Spencer? We don't have the money."
Let me clue you in on a little secret.
We have the money. It's just being stolen. You pay countless tax dollars.
[music] You're taxed on your income.
You're taxed on your gas. You're taxed on your property. You're taxed out the Every single expensive transaction you endure is taxed. Yes, hundreds of restaurants have shut their doors thanks to Karen Bass and Nithya Raman.
Businesses are fleeing their terrible leadership. So revenue is decreasing, and I will turn that around. But we have plenty of money in this city. It's just being stolen. People ask, "How can we hire more firefighters? We don't have the money." We do have the money. It's just being stolen. People ask, "How can we treat [music] the homeless? We don't have the money." We do have the money.
It's just being stolen. As your mayor, I will give your damn money back. I will audit [music] every city program. Every department is going to show us all of their books. We [music] will have forensic auditors come in and track down every last dollar. We have the money.
It's just being stolen. [music] It's like the inverse Robin Hood.
Government is stealing from you [music] and making themselves rich.
I mean, it's so much worse than just I wish it was as simple as just stealing it in terms of outright fraud, but the biggest theft of all is just where they make the fraud legal.
The you know, the Los Angeles school district where they have their special contracts where as we discussed with that lawyer, they can basically help your kid get abused by predators and they can't get fired for it. They can threaten strikes or go on strikes, get huge pay raises, insane benefits for themselves, and they make it all shielded off from ever being cut or rolled back. And yeah, that they suck up all of the money. Or when they're going for homeless stuff, they have endless NGOs. Everyone's getting a cut along the way.
>> true. It's like $400 million on 1,400 homeless people, many of whom just go back on the streets. It's something like $280,000 per homeless person.
>> It would be bad enough if that meant we were taking a bunch of money and giving it to these homeless people who blow it all on drugs, but we don't even do that.
We give it to the homeless activists.
>> NGOs. The anti-homeless NGOs. And yeah, they they're they're taking all of them you know, 90,000 for you, 120 for you, 110 for you. You also get 8 weeks of paid vacation a year and this great health plan that you can use to go to a hospital far away from where we're treating all of the homeless individuals. And just one thing after another. And yeah, all the money's all gone and we don't have the money to fix a pothole certain what Speaking of streets, I haven't seen this video. I want to see it. Spencer Pratt, imagine if the streets were this clean.
Clip 43.
I met him. He got my number. I got his number.
>> he got your number?
>> Yeah, he got my number.
>> You can't record me. I met him at the Plaza at my my mayor's day because cuz the corrupt Karen Bass came after me. I'm an activist. She sent her little goons after me being in a house.
>> [music] >> It's just so many for those who couldn't see what that was. It's just they power wash the street through a stencil. So the Spencer Pratt for mayor ad is the clean part of the sidewalk bright white versus the grime of everything else. And that's that's so much of what people want. They want roads that are paved and don't have big holes. They want clean sidewalks that aren't filled with trash.
They want basic services that work well.
And they're being denied those things because we have this sclerosis in every blue city where they have more staff than ever who are paid better than ever, but less is done than ever.
Well, and it's starting to resonate. You know, Spencer Pratt is taking a lot of heat for being a white guy in LA. He's saying I've eaten more Mexican food than any other white guy here.
Koreatown seems to love him. I've been to Koreatown many times.
Clip 38.
Thank you Spencer for visiting Koreatown. Nobody has come to Koreatown before like this. Okay? We need to vote for Spencer Pratt. Don't wait until the June 2nd. Let's vote Spencer in. We need change. We need a good mayor. We need Spencer Pratt to change Koreatown LA.
Thank you. I want a shirt that says rooftop Koreans for Spencer Pratt.
[laughter] You want to explain to the audience what that is?
>> Koreans, I think a lot of our audience knows, but during the LA riots 35 years ago, uh a lot of the riots they menace Koreatown. A lot of those businesses were in the the heart of the riots. And in an admiral admirable feat of self-reliance, the Koreans banded together. A lot of them had weapons.
They protected their stores. A lot of them were on their rooftops showing with with guns and they were showing they were not to be messed with. It is a model we can all learn from if we are in similar straits.
>> Well, listen, the rooftop Koreans aside, Spencer Pratt has a real chance.
It's maybe not the most likely outcome, but hat tip to you, Spencer Pratt. You are running an amazing You are the best campaigner in your generation and it's not particularly close. So, well done to you. You are proving a model and showing a model. Even if you lose, I think you've transport transformed uh campaigns from here on out. I don't think we're ever going back. You have transformed it completely. So, what do you think? Spencer Pratt going to win?
You think he's got a real shot or you think they're going to rob him from it?
Maybe or is just LA's too lost. It's too far gone.
Let us know your thoughts down below.
And by the way, should Karen Bass have an ethics complaint? Should that be actually seized upon? I think it should be. I mean, the proof is there.
>> I think she she clearly broke the law. I think we need to ban her from politics for life.
Forever.
