And at the end of the declaration, perhaps the most important sentence of the Declaration of Independence says this. and for the support of this declaration. With firm reliance on the protection of divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and sacred honor and go on to make mention of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.

[00:00:42]See, these men, in my own opinion, I believe to be the greatest Americans because they lived instead.

And I say this in the sense of they set the example that we should all have as our servicemen do, pledging their lives and their sacred honor and sometimes also their fortunes. Government, one nation under God. Because you know what happens if he's a nation over God? Well, just like Satan, he got cast out of heaven because he wanted to be over God. Pride came to be. But these men at this time, I always think it to be something very interesting. They looked back to the time of the pilgrims and what they went through. Because you think of like today, we look back to 1776 and those founding fathers. Well, who did they look back to? They looked back to those pilgrims who had this faith in God's word. And it's something that I can't express enough to people today because you know what patriotism is defined as? Patriotism is defined as in no Webster's dictionary of 1828, the love of one's country, the passion which aims to serve one's country, either defending it from invasion or maintaining its laws and institutions in vigor and purity. Patriotism is the characteristic of a good citizen, the noblest passion that animates a man in the character of a citizen. But you notice in the definition of patriotism talks about purity and goodness. It comes directly from God's word as it states in Isaiah how God or Jesus Christ's blood that was shed for us washes our sins and makes them white as snow. That's why the color white is in the flag. See, red represents courage, white represents purity, and blue represents justice.

[00:02:43]And it's something that's needed in today's world. Sin exists and it exists in government because man is sinful naturally. But that's why God instituted government so that these things could be in check.

[00:02:59]and our particular government has made the constitution and the bill of rights for us to keep the government in check.

[00:03:08]It wasn't made for the government to keep us in check. It's actually the other way. Why is that? What's the first three words of the US Constitution?
