Ghana Just Shocked the World 🇬🇭🤖Why?Added:
China, America, [music] South Korea, Taiwan. These are countries that people expect to dominate robotics.
>> But in a major world robotics championship held in Michigan, United States of America, the team standing above everybody [music] else was Ghana.
right now.
>> Not in football, not [music] in athletics, but in robotics and honestly the world needs to start paying attention to what is [music] happening inside Ghana. My name is Filon Quuing and this is Koko Africa Media. Watch the full video on YouTube. Now, let's get into [music] the story, guys. If you've enjoyed this video so far, please do me a huge favor and hit the like button and subscribe. These videos take quite a long time to make, so if you could help me out, I'll love you forever. Thank you all for your support. Now, let's get back to this crazy story. So, while many headlines about Africa focus on problems, something powerful is quietly happening beneath the radar. Young African innovators are rising and [music] that is because Ghana just delivered another major reminder because at the 2026 rebel first world championships held in Michigan, United States of America team from 19 countries and 26 competing teams gathered to test their engineering skills, coding ability, creativity and problem solving ability. One go.
Come on.
Heat. Heat.
Okay.
30 seconds.
You got this. [cheering] Heat.
Heat.
One minute.
>> [screaming] >> and countries like China, Taiwan, Canada, Mexico, Hong corn, South Korea, Greece, and even the host nation, the United States were all inside this big competition. But when the dust settled, Ghana emerged as winners. Let that sink in. Ghana didn't just attend but Ghana outperformed countries globally recognized for advanced technology and STEM excellence by becoming the first country in all of this competition beating the lives of China, America, Mexico, South Korea and everybody across the planet semiinal division and South Korea.
in the whole country. The whole country 194 countries and you are in the top four.
>> Now this matters because robotics is not simply about building machines. In fact, robotics combines coding, engineering, artificial intelligence, electronics, mathematics, teamwork and innovation.
And these are the exact skills shaping the future global economy. And this victory tells us something important that the next generation of African talent is not waiting for permission. In fact, they are building, they are creating, they are competing, they are winning >> between Brazil and Ghana.
So I see everyone's almost ready.
>> Are you ready?
semiinal.
>> Final adjustments done. Ready? Brazilian ready. Three, two, one, let's go.
And they started. Ghana is collecting the three ones. Meanwhile, Brazil is going up to the red and green ones.
Brazil just put five of the blocks.
Anna collected almost all the green ones. Just two of them are left on the board.
And maybe the most impressive part, these student achieve this while coming from a country many outsiders still underestimate in science and technology.
Yet Ghana continues to manage with the little resources we have and come on top as winners with global thinking abilities. And so from robotics championships to STEM education to young innovators solving real problem, this is bigger than just a trophy. This is a signal that investment into education, technology, and youth talent can produce world-class results. Because when Ghanaian student can walk into an international robotics competition in America, compete against global heavyweight and live as champions, then this changes the conversation.
Robotics.
Proud parents.
doing Ghana, come come. I'm here.
Oh god.
I say yeah.
color. I say it works him up.
Hey, my pesto.
>> Let's go outside.
>> Let's go outside.
>> Welcome home.
The other one done, >> bro.
Christmas.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> Count 3 2 1 go.
>> Uh, this will be our last two senior teams. We have Trojans in Saudi Arabia 4621-1 in Newbound and Explorer from Hong Kong 4755-1.
So I think our last two teams if you saw your radio in Hong Kong, please remember if there's any team that I miss a call, please come down.
Our next >> [music] [music] [music] >> This story is no longer can Africa student compete globally. The real question now is that are people paying enough attention and congratulations to these brilliant young champions. You didn't just win a competition. You represented Ghana. You represented African innovation. And you reminded the world that talent has no geographical limit. So let me just ask you that what do you think this victory says about Ghana's future in science and technology? Drop your comment in the comment section. And if you believe that African excellent deserves more global attention, then subscribe to the channel and let's go get it. Congratulations to Africa and Ghana.
