During traffic stops, individuals have the constitutional right to refuse field sobriety tests and not answer questions without a lawyer present, as these tests are designed to detect impairment and can be used as evidence against you; the recommended response is to politely decline tests and questions by stating 'I don't answer questions without a lawyer' and 'I don't take tests without a lawyer,' which can significantly impact the outcome of a DWI case.

Justin Timberlake Arrested! Lawyer Reveals Where He Went Wrong!Hinzugefügt:
Um, hard to explain.
Um Um Uh, world tour I'm Justin Timberlake. Um What's What's your name? Justin Timberlake. You are Justin Timberlake?
>> Yeah. You are Justin Timberlake? This cop doesn't recognize Justin Timberlake.
Obviously, the cop doesn't have any kids. I will say I didn't really recognize him either. He's wearing a hat. Not wearing the right hat. He should be wearing I plead the fifth. I don't answer questions. Or maybe just a straight-up Dr. Judge hat. I'm going to send Justin Timberlake one of these hats. It's pretty cool. You can get it in the link below. Everybody should wear the constitutional rights. Just wear it on your head. And that way when a cop ask you where you coming from, you can just point at the hat. Say, I don't answer questions. Let's watch Justin Timberlake try to navigate through this DUI stop. You think he gets arrested? I think he does. Then when we do this, uh, just like you're doing right now arms feet together arms by your side.
You're doing it just now. I'm just going to re-explain it before we continue, okay?
Um, arms by your side feet together and then you're going [music] to keep your head straight and just keep your head straight only follow with your eyes, okay?
Okay. You understand that? All right.
Yes, sir. Okay, I'm not really surprised that Justin Timberlake is not a Dr. Judge follower cuz I don't have the kind of following that Justin Timberlake has.
But he needs to be a Dr. Judge follower because you should never ever ever ever ever take these tests, folks. You've heard me do videos on that over and over again. Follow the pin with your eyes.
Stand on one foot. Walk this [snorts] line nine steps forward nine steps back.
I'm sorry, officer. I don't take tests without a lawyer. If he had said that, I promise you this result would have been better for him. There's so many factors that come into play that may not have anything to do with impairment. He may have been drinking here. You don't want to give evidence against yourself if you can avoid it. And guess what? You can avoid it. I plead the [music] fifth. I don't answer questions without a lawyer.
He takes all their tests. He's hoping that his fame is going to get him out of this. I don't think [music] it's going to work. Well, he got pulled over because he ran a stop sign and he failed to maintain his lane. So he's weaving within his lane or weaving outside of his lane. So it's a legitimate reason for the stop. But even if they have a legitimate reason for the stop, you can still say I don't answer questions and I don't take tests without a lawyer.
>> Then you're going to put your right foot in front of your left stay just like that, okay? You're going to heel to toe like this.
Heel to toe.
Oh my. So he stumbled. That right there.
That's why I tell people don't take these tests. What they're trying to do is they're trying to get your left foot on the line, your right foot in front of your left foot, and then they're going to leave you in that position while they describe and basically instruct the test for you. Can tell whether or not you're swaying or you step out of the stance.
And if you do any of those things, they're going to count a point off against you. Everybody steps out of the stance almost exclusively. Like almost 100% of the people will step out of that stance. Don't ever get in that stance.
And I get why Justin took this test in the first place because he's a pretty good dancer. He probably thought, "Shh, I can do this. Walk the line and do a spin. I can do a real good spin." But it's not that kind of dancing. So I'm here. Okay, so we're going to put our left foot on the line first.
Put your right foot in front of your [music] left heel to toe.
And you can stay just like that, okay?
Okay. Okay.
So this is going to be a series of small of nine heel to toe steps. I will demonstrate this. Like you're doing right now.
Like this.
One two three all the way up to nine Nine. Followed by a series of small steps around.
One two three all the way up to nine back. This is going to be heel to toe. So you're going to be clicking your heels as you're going. Arms by your side. While you're doing this, you're going to look down at your toes. Guys, I'm just I'm just following my friends back to my house.
I'm I'm not like I'm not doing anything. I'm just following my friends back to my house.
>> Will Will you do us do these tests?
Sure. Oh, he was almost there. The cop made him feel bad and said, "You don't want to do these tests." Oh, yeah.
Justin is a really nice guy. And so he just wants to go along to get along, which is 99 out of 100 of my clients who sit in front of this desk and tell me the story about what happened when they got pulled over. They just want to go along to get along. Justin wants to go along to get along, which is why he made the mistake of taking these tests. It's why most people make that same mistake.
I can't fault him for making the mistake cuz he wasn't taught better. And that's why you're a follower of this channel so you're taught better.
And then [music] and then just walk. I'm sorry. I'm I'm I'm >> Here. Ready? Get ready. Ready.
>> little nervous.
>> Left right foot in front.
You're going to look down. Okay, other cop jumping in giving instructions.
That's a no-no in my book. One cop, you should hear one [music] voice. One cop gives the instructions, but the other cop kind of felt like this other cop wasn't doing a good job. So he's going to pop in and try to give instructions.
That's just confusing. As a defense lawyer, I could really defend Justin in this and probably get him off of this [music] DUI. two Okay. three >> Got you. four Right there, okay? Hang on. Let me tell you when to go. Let me tell you when to go. You got to tell me when to start, okay? I'm sorry. No, you're good. Don't worry about it. I'm sorry. No, I want to make sure you He said, "No, no. Don't worry about it.
You're showing all kinds of indicators.
You're really helping us." 1 1,000 2 1,000 3 1,000 4 1,000 Remember just just continue, yeah. Okay.
Yep. All right. Got [music] you.
Sorry.
1 1,000 2 1,000 3 1,000 4 1,000 5 1,000 That's all good. All right. By the way, these are like These are like really hard tests. He said, "By the way, these are like really hard tests." [music] That's why you shouldn't be taking them.
Uh, so the way this device works, you just put your lips over it and you blow up blow into it like you're blowing a balloon.
No.
Okay. Good for him. You want to take this breath test? You know, you blow into the machine? Nah, I don't really want to do that. Does anybody wonder why he doesn't want to do that? Doesn't matter why he didn't take this. He has the right to refuse the test. And in [music] his case, it's probably a good idea that he refused that test.
All right. Um, at this point based on the observations, um, you're under arrest for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Um, so what I would do is turn around. Yeah. Arms Is that okay?
Yeah, you want to, man. Like I'm just following my friends home. I'm I'm I'm >> [music] >> All right. Uh, just turn around for me, please.
All right. I'll take you right on.
97 headquarters 132 192 All right. At this point >> I know my hair sucks here, but like I usually look like So at this point, he's coming with us, okay? No, he's not.
>> Yes, HE IS. NO, WHY?
He's under arrest for DWI. Stop it. DWI.
No way.
Don't say it. Yes. He's coming back with us.
Okay. So you look okay and you can drive, okay? see anything You Your eyes look perfectly fine. Your Your speech isn't slurred. You're arresting Justin Timberlake.
Yeah. Stop it. Stop it. Don't say it. I guess this might be his manager and she's in disbelief. [music] She's in utter disbelief. You're really arresting Justin Timberlake? Come on, officer.
Don't you know who this is? So let's watch Justin Timberlake in the processing center and see if it gets any better for him. My partner here observed you some kind of traffic violation.
So the traffic stop we believe you have impairment.
Did a series of routine tests on you, right? field sobriety tests Okay? You performed poorly on those, okay? [music] Based off of his observations you are intoxicated.
Okay. So you are under arrest for DWI, [music] okay?
Okay. All we're asking is if you understand what was just read to you.
>> [music] >> Yeah. Yeah. I hear you. Perfect. And I'm going to What I'm going to do, I'm going to reread this again. Uh, we're going to go through the rest of it, but at this >> I got you. I got [music] you. At this point, it asks for initials. If you don't want to initial, you're not required to.
Um, you [music] can't be forced to. And then I'll re I'll read read I will read the rest of it, okay?
Will you initial or no? No. Okay. I got to say that was a good decision. Don't sign or initial anything that you don't understand. And [music] if it's not required that you sign it like a citation, don't sign it. Don't sign anything. Don't answer anything. I don't answer questions without a lawyer.
Please get me a lawyer. If you want me to understand this and make a decision, I need a lawyer. You know, ask for a lawyer. Say the word lawyer a whole bunch.
Um, now do you consent or refuse to the chemical [music] test?
No, I I'm not doing a chemical test like Good answer. No, I'm not doing a chemical test. Let's watch the rest of this processing center. I appreciate you boys for doing your job, man. Appreciate you understand that we got to do our thing. Yeah, I appreciate you boys for doing your job, man. one martini and a follow my friends home. Well, that was nice of him to say. It was stupid of him to say, but it was nice of him to say. I appreciate you guys doing your job. You don't ever admit to having anything to drink. It really is an admission that you've been drinking that they're going to use against you later. I think he's very respectful to the police here. So I applaud him for that. At the end of the day, Justin Timberlake did not get convicted of a DWI. He got convicted of a DWAI, driving while ability impaired, and it's a civil infraction. It's not a crime in New York. So he avoided the criminal conviction. The ultimate punishment that he got was 25 hours of community service work and a 90-days license suspension, which [music] should not affect him in the least. You got enough money, Justin, to hire yourself a driver. You shouldn't be following your buddy home after you drank a martini.
Justin Timberlake should have hired a driver here. I think he had a lot of defenses that I could have worked with and he made a lot of decent decisions.
So I have to give him credit for that.
So I'm giving him a B. The officers here I give, you know, an A. Justin Timberlake driving a car under the influence, so they had to do their job.
They had to arrest him. They can't let him go. They had to do what they did, and they did the right thing here. I think Justin could have done a better job in refusing all tests, and make them prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt using only what they observed in your driving. But Justin, if you want one of these hats, just have your manager reach out to me. I will give you one for free.
Like, I'll even give you a t-shirt says, "I don't answer questions." And if you liked this video, you're going to love this one.
